Chapter 460 Sending Oneself to Their Death (Third Update, Bonus Chapter 3/4 for the Alliance Leader)

The Stargazer was not angry at the Silver Council's choice for betrayal; she was simply saddened.

We regret their choice, and we also regret the choice of their ancestors.

“Your descendants have utterly disgraced you.”

Nothing in this world is permanent.

Loyalty and faith, too, will gradually change over time, and may even become something completely different from what they were in the past.

The stargazer knew this from the beginning; she had seen far too much of it over the long course of time.

But after witnessing all the betrayals and changes, the stargazer still firmly believes that some things can remain unchanged.

She is persevering herself, and hopes that others will not give up either.

The stargazers have done their duty to the descendants of their former companions, and their tolerance is commendable.

The Watchers tolerated the Silver Council many, many times, even tacitly allowing them to have private contact with supernatural beings as long as they did not harm humans.

Unfortunately, the final warning and admonition did not bring them to their senses; instead, it solidified their resolve, leading them to ultimately cross that untouchable line.

Perhaps they didn't know what handing over the spatial beacon of the Watcher City to the extraordinary beings truly meant, or perhaps they did, but it doesn't matter.

Now, the Silver Council has completely overstepped its bounds and become a traitor to humanity.

Rumble...

Just as the stargazers were feeling regretful, the four saints guarding outside the City of Watch did not stop their actions, but slowly approached as if the encirclement was being gradually tightened.

This is not a fair challenge between equals; this is a trap!

The four saints came here with the sole purpose of eliminating the greatest threat to humanity; they had no other intentions!

Click... Click!

They relentlessly closed in, crushing the massive protective shield of Watchtower City, which was capable of withstanding several attacks from legendary figures.

As soon as the protective shield shattered, the originally mild and pleasant environment in Sky City vanished instantly. The raging winds from high above, like files, rushed towards the ancient buildings, sweeping away the bricks and tiles from thousands of years ago.

"Stargazer!!! You will surely perish today, I swear in the name of the son of Caesardin!"

"I will avenge my compatriots and use your head to commemorate the sacrifices that have already been made."

"I'm here to kill you."

"...You will die here, I'm telling you."

The four distinct voices, amplified by the howling wind, truly roared like thunder in the apocalypse.

Standing before the floor-to-ceiling window, the stargazer silently watched the scene unfold, which resembled the end of the world, without making a move.

Tick-tock.

Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth again, but this time the stargazer did not ignore it; her eyes brightened slightly.

"I am destined to die, I have no doubt about that."

Gently raising his right hand, the stargazer slowly closed his palm and whispered:

"But, definitely not now..."

Buzz—

Amidst a tremendous buzzing sound that reverberated throughout the entire city of Watchers, the drop of blood that had fallen to the ground rippled slowly, then flew backward as if time were flowing backward!

"I can't collapse here yet."

From her seemingly fragile body, from the highest point of the Watchful City, a terrifying energy erupted and shot straight into the sky!

The dazzling light pierced through the clouds high in the sky like a pillar of light, and then quickly fell, transforming into a huge spherical membrane that enveloped the entire Watchtower City.

The fierce winds from the outside world could no longer destroy the buildings of Watchtower City, and those dilapidated buildings began to recover.

One of the saints looked up at the membrane of light infused with divine power, squinted his eyes, and sighed:

"Including us...that's incredibly arrogant!"

There was no other reason that could make him make such a statement than the energy contained in that light membrane had exceeded the sum of the energy of the two saints.

"Hmph! Bluster. Since you're so eager to die, I won't stop you."

While demonstrating her unparalleled power, the stargazer also displays her arrogance.

The Stargazer's last move was astonishing; he eliminated a Saint first, causing the other unprepared Saints to retreat in fear.

But this time it's different.

Now that the saints have dared to appear, they will no longer fight alone as before; they have already devised detailed tactics and plans.

While the last attack was indeed incredibly powerful, almost godlike in strength, it also exposed some problems with the Stargazers.

The Stargazer's condition is not right, otherwise she wouldn't need to use a container to descend; her true form would be her fatal weakness.

They didn't come here on a whim; they were fully prepared and even brought out a special artifact.

A true marvel!

Under the golden light, everything seemed to be coated with a layer of gold, and the reaction was especially obvious on the stargazer who appeared out of nowhere, as if a small sun had appeared in the sky city.

The human-sized stargazer seemed small and powerless compared to the four saints who transformed into giants, but no one could ignore the powerful aura emanating from her.

Of the four saints, one, who resembled an orc, was the most ferocious, brandishing a giant axe and mocking the stargazer:

"Stargazer! How does it feel to be betrayed? Hahaha..."

Her originally light-colored eyes were tinged with gold, but unlike the dazzling gold of the angels, the stargazer's eyes appeared exceptionally clear, like golden gemstones.

She looked at the orc saint and spoke indifferently:

Are you so sure your plan will succeed?
