Silver City, General Conference Hall.
The nobles who had been summoned gathered once again, but this time the situation was completely different from the previous one, which was filled with emergency and panic.
It was as if the blade that had been held to his neck had been removed, and he felt much more relaxed. In fact, the neighboring nobles were even able to chat and laugh about the artworks they had collected recently.
The agonizing atmosphere vanished, and they appeared much more at ease, with a relaxed and joyful ambiance permeating the entire space.
creak—
Even when the waiter pushed open the door, they showed no sign of stopping.
Keynes stood at the doorway, glanced around, and silently shook his head. He walked slowly through the door into the hall and headed towards the central platform.
Step by step, he walked toward the high platform that symbolized the highest honor for the nobility.
No one was with him.
Suddenly, a figure blocked his way; it was a nobleman who had just entered middle age.
"Lord Keynes, wouldn't you like a drink?"
Keynes, recognizing the familiar figure, paused for a moment, then shook his head and said:
"No, Sir Maurice, my body no longer allows me to indulge myself like a young man."
"Hahahaha, you're so modest. This little bit of alcohol won't have any effect at all! Hahaha, even if you don't drink, you're still missing a glass, aren't you?"
Listening to Morris's words, Keynes silently glanced around, noticing that many people were actually watching them.
Keynes had seen too many things like this before, and he figured out the connection in an instant.
Morris wasn't actually trying to persuade anyone to drink; he was just trying to show that he and Keynes were old acquaintances and to build up his own reputation as much as possible.

"hehe."
Keynes shook his head and laughed, a laugh that was complex and melancholic.
He still remembers what Maurice looked like when he first saw him.
At that time, he had not yet inherited the position of family head. He was still a young nobleman who dared to think and act, adhered to the honor of the nobility, and was determined to carry forward the glory of the family.
But when did he change his appearance and become so slick and unfamiliar?
What changed him?
Is it the position of head of the family? Or is it power and wealth?
No, whatever changed him is no longer important.
From today onwards, such regrettable things will no longer happen.
"Hehe, perhaps not today, but soon..."
"Hmm? Did you say something?"
Morris, maintaining his smile, blinked. He had breathed a sigh of relief after Keynes laughed, but in his carelessness, he hadn't heard what Keynes muttered to himself.
"It's nothing. I think what you said makes sense. Thank you for your reminder."
Shaking his head, Keynes patted Morris on the shoulder affectionately, took the wine glass offered by the other, and continued on his way with it in his hand.
Later, even more people came up to him, and Keynes welcomed them all, either nodding or exchanging a few pleasantries.
The road to the high platform wasn't long, but he walked slowly, giving himself enough time to savor the experience along the way.
The road was long, but it eventually came to an end. Keynes finally broke free from everyone and walked step by step onto the high platform.
Dongdong.
Keynes tapped the ground with a mallet, drawing everyone's attention.
In the now slightly quieter hall, his expression turned serious, and he said in a deep voice:
"I have urgently summoned you all because I have something important to tell you."
The serious expressions finally eased the tension slightly, but many people still didn't take it to heart, and some even asked with a smile:
"Lord Keynes, stop keeping us in suspense! Just tell us! I have urgent business to attend to."
"What's the rush? Is your lover about to have another baby? The seventeenth?"
"Ha ha ha ha……"
Seeing the nobles burst into laughter, Keynes did not laugh, but instead struck the mallet again.
Dongdong.
In a quiet moment, the old man spoke aloud:
"Under the witness of the covenant—I, Keynes Jaslin, have said nothing false."
His sudden and unusual behavior made many nobles realize something was wrong, and they squinted at the most prominent noble among the nobles.
"I have new information regarding the handing over of the spatial beacon of Watchtower City to the extraordinary beings."
“There is a traitor among us.”
With a calm and composed gaze, Keynes spoke softly:
"The Watchers are already aware of this."
!!
In an instant, all the laughter disappeared, and pairs of terrified eyes stared at the gaunt figure on the stage, whose back was ramrod straight.
In the oppressive silence where you could hear a pin drop, Keynes raised his head and looked up at the Arcane Eye high above.
Smiling, Keynes raised the glass he had received from Morris and addressed the crowd below:
"By the witness of the covenant—I hereby confess to you all that I... am one of the traitors."
!!
That wasn't all. The old man, enjoying the bewildered expressions on everyone's faces as they were struck by the series of shocking events, continued:
"Moreover, there are even more traitors among you."
Dead silence.
