The words that a man claiming to be a "prophet" conveyed to them:
"You go and assist the others in intercepting the Legend, I'll handle the Saint."
Extremely arrogant and unrealistic boasting.
For one person to try to stop an unknown number of at least a dozen saints is beyond madness.
And the most outrageous thing is that it happened simultaneously!
Even the gods couldn't do that!
In the end, even though the saints were full of doubts and did not know the true nature of the "Prophet," they still chose to obey.
After some hesitation, Augustus and his companions ultimately chose to intercept the legendary beings and other extraordinary creatures.
It wasn't just because of that somewhat familiar name, nor just because of the tacit approval from the City of Watchers, but also because of another declaration that came along with that sentence.
The declaration was very short; he said:
"Mortals, live on forever!"
While saints may cause irreparable destruction to the world, legends should not be underestimated either, as they may cause even greater destruction.
Therefore, someone has to stop it.
Humanity's saints set off, and they didn't really care what the real outcome would be.
Just like the belief conveyed in that declaration:
The chaos of the saints?
A deity descending to earth?
If they want to come, then let them come!
They can fight for as long as they want!
No matter how many enemies, how terrible the weapons, or how powerful the forces... it doesn't matter.
Humans will surely achieve final victory.
Gods will eventually fall, but mortals will live on forever!
