These deities successfully gained the faith of a small portion of mortals and successfully seduced a group of wavering mortals.
They felt a long-lost power filling their bodies again!
But just as they were about to launch a divine war, they instinctively sensed unease.
Without exception, these deities received an audio message from their newly acquired "Scroll Masters" and then fell into deep confusion.

The audio was a moving recitation describing the disasters that blindly believing in evil beings claiming to be "gods" could bring to your family...
This is a tactic employed by awakened humans to weaken the influence of the gods. While it may have some effect, it will not amount to much.
The only thing that made these gods somewhat uneasy was a soft laugh at the end of the audio, after a period of background noise.
The voice said:
