Chapter Forty-Nine: Differences

Wearing a tight black leather outfit that accentuated her figure, Yun Shuchang walked down the stairwell in high-heeled boots, yet her footsteps made no sound.

It was as if her weight did not exist.

With her goal clear, she went straight to the door. Just as she was about to knock, strange noises came from inside:

"Let me go, I have to go! I just have to get to that place..."

"I won't let go!"

"Little Fish, don't be so rigid. I'll be back soon! How can you not believe me?"

"No, you have too many criminal records! Besides, this is the sixth floor!"

"Since you put it that way, then don't blame me for being ruthless!"

...

Hearing the sounds from inside the room, Yun Shuchang paused in her knocking, then knowingly pushed the door open and went inside.

"Angel, Little Fish, what are you doing... huh?"

Even though she was used to certain scenes, she was still stunned when she saw two figures entwined together in front of the window.

I couldn't help but take another look at the scene in the room:

Jiang Wan's straight leg had already stepped out of the window, and her hands were gripping the window frame as she pushed herself outwards with all her might.

Chu Yu, meanwhile, clung tightly to Jiang Wan's waist from behind, pouting and pulling her backward with all his might.

Yun Shuchang: ?

Are you guys playing some new game?

Am I out of touch again? Why can't I understand what young people like to do?

How strange, let me take another look.

She frowned, glanced at it a couple more times, and then hesitantly asked:

"What are you doing..."

Finally, reinforcements were found, and Chu Yu excitedly told his teammates:

"Sister Yun! Come quick, Sister Wan is trying to run away again!"

Yun Shuchang didn't step forward directly. Instead, she seemed unsurprised. It wasn't unusual for Jiang Wan to sneak out. Rather, it was strange that you were stopping her.

"...Angel, where are you going?"

"I'm going to save my stupid good brother!"

When Yun Shuchang heard this reason, she understood.

Oh, so it's about Ning Feng again. I get it.

After all, it's been so long since Jiang Wan joined the team that everyone else is already tired of hearing her name.

"Then wait a bit. We can talk about it after you take your vacation."

Therefore, Yun Shuchang ignored Jiang Wan's strange behavior and turned to the two of them seriously:

"The captain has taken on a new mission, a mandatory one."

Upon hearing the word "mandatory task," Jiang Wan's expression instantly turned serious. She lost all interest in joking around and immediately withdrew her long leg that had been stepping out the window.

What are the tasks involved?

Chu Yu also released her arms from Jiang Wan's waist, knowing that the other party wouldn't joke around at this time.

Although she is often jokingly called disorganized and undisciplined, Jiang Wan has never faltered when it comes to matters of principle.

Even his unauthorized departure from the team a couple of days ago was only done after he had completed his mission; he quietly ran away on his own.

Yun Shuchang, who understood Jiang Wan's personality well, spoke directly:

"The mission is at level three, and the location is Bincheng. A series of evil god sacrifices have occurred there, and they are currently gathering teams to investigate. We'll discuss the details as we go."

Chu Yu had already packed his things and was about to follow the vice-captain who was walking out when he asked curiously:

"Reconnaissance? Not elimination? And it's Bincheng, what a coincidence, don't you think..."

Coincidentally, Jiang Wan doesn't have to leave the group and run back without permission now; everyone is going together.

But upon reflection, Chu Yu discovered that Jiang Wan's reaction was different from the excitement he had imagined.

Jiang Wan didn't laugh; instead, her expression became somewhat serious, completely different from her usual cheerful demeanor.

"...Sister Wan?"

With her eyes slightly narrowed, Jiang Wan ignored Chu Yu's surprise and doubt; she had a feeling in her heart.

This mission is very likely to affect Ningfeng!

"Will he be in danger?"

With her head down, Jiang Wan twirled a strand of hair between her fingers and whispered in a barely audible voice:

"Then I'll eliminate all dangers that come near him..."

"Eliminate them all."

...

...

"emmm..."

Perched on Ning Feng's shoulder, the black cat scrutinized him from multiple angles with astonishment before finally speaking slowly:

"You're a little, um, different."

Ning Feng, who was walking slowly and deep in thought, looked up when he heard this and smiled:

"Really? What do you think is different?"

Ariana flicked her tail, as if she understood something, and replied:

"You've become more confident and more aggressive. What made you change?"

Ariana thought the scene was over, but the subsequent developments completely exceeded her expectations.

Ning Feng seemed to have said a lot of sweet words, but every single one of them seemed to be the truth.

He deliberately used rhetoric to steer the conversation in a direction favorable to himself and successfully disrupted the other person's thought process.

In the end, he withdrew at just the right time, without blindly rushing forward.

The whole scene seemed to be a dance on the edge of a knife, but every step seemed to be under Ning Feng's control.

Thrilling and exciting, and very much in line with the style of a succubus.

To be honest, Ariana was quite satisfied and very pleased with what she saw.

She just didn't understand why Ning Feng, who had always resisted being a scumbag, had suddenly become so skilled at it.

You, with your thick eyebrows and big eyes, are no good either!

"I just suddenly realized something."
