Chapter Forty-Three Arrival

Ning Feng brought his performance to a perfect close.

From the opening to the climax to the final curtain call, he truly did the best he could at this stage.

Although it wasn't outwardly apparent, beneath his smiling face lay the throbbing pain of a dried-up brain, which he was now entirely holding together through sheer willpower.

This short performance, lasting only a few minutes, received unanimous praise from the audience.

But what he didn't expect was...

The audience that will see this performance will be far greater than he imagined!

Each Watchers branch's training grounds are equipped with a considerable number of cameras around them, allowing for comprehensive coverage and easy review.

At the same time, these cameras are always connected to the internet and will upload all the footage they capture to the Watchers' information hub for storage.

And that place has another name—[The Eye of Insight].

That is one of the three mysterious wonders of the Watchers, along with the Sky City.

Collect everything, understand everything, analyze everything.

From very early times, that place has played an important role in the Watchers and even in human history.

No one knows what's inside that giant spherical building, or how it always manages to draw corresponding conclusions, or even "prophecies."

Is it a supercomputer with self-awareness? Or is it the legendary thousands of sleepless, awakened beings of the knowledge spectrum frantically working on it?

No one knows the answer; at least, apart from the only past presidents who have ever been able to enter, no one dares to be sure.

Aside from the president, the people closest to that place are the past [Insightful Ones].

The succession of the Insightful Ones is decided by the previous Insightful One, and no outsiders can interfere. Their mystery is no less than that of the previous Insightful Ones, and they never appear in front of outsiders.

Each Insight Master has always been a solitary figure in the Hall of Insight, collecting and filtering out important information before finally transmitting it.

Some say they will suppress their own feelings in order to make a better judgment.

It can be said that they were also a group of people who sacrificed a lot for humanity.

Shortly after Ning Feng's battle ended, the video had already been thoroughly analyzed by the Eye of Insight, which provided a corresponding evaluation.

In the palace directly below the Eye of Insight, in a magnificent room, an old man dressed in a pure white robe knelt before a naked statue whose face was not visible.

The old man felt the call; such revelation only came when the Eye of Insight discovered something extraordinary. He was somewhat curious about what the outcome would be.

The statue trembled slightly, its marble-like body leaning forward a little, and a familiar sound came from its mouth:

Click...click...click, click...

It sounds like the painful groan of an old printer after decades of use, with the occasional paper jam.

The old man's expression remained unchanged; it was unclear whether he had grown accustomed to it or simply didn't find it strange at all.

A golden slip of paper slowly emerged from the statue's mouth. The old man stood up, took it, and quickly read it:

[Name: Ning Feng]

[Branch Location: Bincheng]

[Lineage: Bloodline - Succubus]

[Bloodline compatibility: High, resembling atavistic bloodline, comparable to the most outstanding example among the pioneers]

[Awakening Compatibility: Above Average; He has the talent to be a seducer]

[Combat awareness: Extremely high; no movement of the opponent can escape his notice]

[Overall Rating: Top Grade. He has demonstrated unique potential; perhaps he can achieve something significant.]

The elderly man with thinning hair gasped as he looked at the note coming out of the machine.

"Wow! This evaluation..."

After looking at it twice, the old man, feeling a bit of toothache, tugged at his long beard and spoke in a deep voice:

"you……"

"Can't we agree on something?"

Bang bang bang!

The solemn aura emanating from him vanished. The old man pounded on the statue's head repeatedly, shouting:

"One judgment at a time! One standard at a time! Are you making fun of me!?"

"Last time it was SSS-rank, the last time it was A-rank, and this is a special-rank! What about next time?"

"Should we make it heavyweight next time?"

"Hey, standardize your units of measurement! Don't give me unnecessary extra work!"

Click-clack... Pshaw!

The buzzing figure being slapped trembled for a moment, straightened up, and spat out a new piece of paper with a "pui" sound.

He didn't reach out to catch it, but in the instant the note flew by, the old man managed to see the words on it:

You will be seriously injured today.

Without any threat, it simply and confidently proclaims the old man's future fate.

This sense of calm, however, sent chills down the spines of some.

But the old man wouldn't have any of it, and, bristling with anger, said:

"Hmph! You think I'm afraid of you? So what if your prophecy is only half right? Come on!"

"So what if I'm unlucky! I refuse to believe you can kill me! If you do, go find the next Insightful One to play with!"

After grumbling and cursing for a while, the old man finally walked away from the statue, sat down in the huge seat in the center of the room, and closed his eyes.

Even though the Eye of Insight always plays tricks on scale, it won't make fun of someone who isn't particularly special.

The premise of all these pranks is that the person being observed truly has something special about them.

"Let me see what's so special about this candidate."

Buzz.

Brilliant golden light shone down from the center of the hall's ceiling, falling upon the old man.

Bathed in this golden light, the old man seemed to melt into his seat, becoming a part of the hall.
