Chapter Thirty-Eight: Who's Testing Whom?

"Surprised? The characteristics of halfling bloodline awakeners are quite obvious: height, fondness for alcohol, love of boasting, innate luck, and extremely high talent for stealth..."

After counting them casually, Ning Feng shrugged.

"Look, many of these characteristics match up. You've given me so many hints."

"In addition, when you learned that I was a succubus awakener, your muscles relaxed a lot and you became more confident, so you must have experience in dealing with succubi."

I heard you call yourself a "true succubus hunter"?

Then I'll have to have a serious talk with you.

Rhoda had a strange feeling that everything about him had been seen through, and that the other person's mocking gaze could really see through his disguise!

That shouldn't be happening!

Feeling a strange unease, Rhoda quickly moved to a different spot.

"But have you considered something?"

"If it were me, I would just leave the enemy here alone, making them suspicious and wasting their energy for a while."

"And you, you were about to remind me in less than a minute, how kind of you!"

Staring into Rhoda's eyes, Ning Feng revealed a gentle smile that carried no hint of provocation:

“Mr. Rhoda, it seems you’ve held back.”

"I don't sense any life-or-death crisis from this level of killing intent."

A strange, blood-red glint flashed in Ning Feng's dark eyes. He licked his lips and chuckled softly:

"Perhaps you could try a little harder?"

In this scene, who is testing whom?

Who can say for sure?
