Chapter Twenty-Six: Embrace New Life

Ning Feng remembered his name, but still felt that he had forgotten a lot.

For example, the woman in front of him; he felt he should know her.

"Please forgive me, after all... oh dear?"

As if she had discovered something interesting, the woman's languid voice disappeared, replaced by a faint excitement, as if she had found something fascinating.

"This is really interesting, hehe~"

A light veil of purplish-black gauze came into view, and the woman who spoke seemed to have squatted down in front of her.

"I thought it was a lost cat, but it's you."

Ning Feng, who had been ignored all along, finally got the chance to be looked at, and was gently turned over by an invisible force.

His blood-stained eyes could only vaguely make out the figure crouching in front of him, which he could vaguely make out to be a woman.

"Wow, it's just as bad as I thought. It's a wonder you even made it here."

"But it seems you can't say anything either... Well then, how about this?"

Accompanied by a soft, unreadable whisper, slender, pale fingers gently touched his brow:

"Let me hear your true thoughts."

Then, Ning Feng's mouth began to open and close uncontrollably:

"…………"

A huge gap appeared in my consciousness, as if it were covered by a blurry veil.

He seemed to say something, yet he also seemed to say nothing at all.

However, this time the sound did not disappear into the wind and snow, but clearly reached the ears of the person in front of it.

Listening quietly, a smile gradually appeared on the woman's face.

It wasn't a cold pretense, but a smile radiating undisguised joy.

"That's more like it."

A charming voice, tinged with laughter, resonated in Ning Feng's heart, unlike the previous blurry voice, it was now incredibly clear.

The voice was captivating yet devoid of lust; rather, it was like a gentle caress on the deepest part of the heart, incredibly tender.

"That's what you really think..."

Ning Feng felt his head being gently lifted up.

But his consciousness, his indomitable will that had not collapsed in pain, was easily shattered by this warmth.

A long-awaited, gentle, and loving embrace...

Like an irresistible poison, it possesses an alluring charm.

"Go to sleep, go to sleep..."

The lullaby-like sound caused Ning Feng's hard-won consciousness to sink again.

He couldn't remember what had happened, but a complex and indescribable emotion was churning within him.

The woman, however, didn't care about Ning Feng's thoughts and muttered to herself:

"Although I'd like to say that, your current situation doesn't allow it."

"…………"

"I'm not as heartless as them. I'm the most soft-hearted person. Seeing you like this really breaks my heart."

"But all I can do is feel sorry for you. There's nothing I can do but be the final witness... Oh?"

As if remembering something, the corners of her mouth suddenly turned up, revealing her sharp canine teeth.

"Oh dear! It seems this isn't the final straw yet~ You're lucky, hehe..."

She watched as the dying embers of Ning Feng's life gradually died out in her eyes, then gently knelt in the pool of blood, gazing at his sleeping face and softly chuckled:

"Whether it's you or me, time is running out."

She gently cupped Ning Feng's face, looking at his scarred cheeks and the furrowed brow that hadn't relaxed even in his unconscious state, and chuckled helplessly:

"If you keep frowning, you won't have good luck."

She gently smoothed his furrowed brows, then ran her fingers over his bleeding lips to wipe away the blood.

"It's my sister's first time kissing too, and she doesn't want to have a bad memory."

Her ever-smiling eyes finally showed a flicker of emotion, filled with tenderness. She gently lowered her head and slowly pressed her lips to his.

【…………】

An inaudible voice rang out, calmly foreshadowing her future.

She paused slightly, but the next moment, she leaned down again, getting closer to those lips.

A flicker of emotion flashed in his crimson eyes, which then transformed into unwavering resolve and a mockery directed at no one in particular.

"Who knows what the future holds?"

"Who could have imagined that I would one day make such a choice?"

She turned her gaze to the man in her arms, her eyes sweeping over every part of his body.

"What was that saying again? I remember someone always saying that to me... Oh right."

She gently kissed his cheek and murmured in a prayerful tone:

"You bear unforgivable sins; only the deepest hell is your final resting place."

“You are an apostle favored by God, but you are a fallen one who has betrayed His trust.”

"You are an incurable rebel, a disruptive force that should be eliminated."

"but……"

Suddenly, her deep tone changed, and a brilliant light shone in her eyes.

"No matter what crimes you have committed, no matter what oaths you have broken, no matter what choice you ultimately make..."

That gaze was like a raging fire!

"I will be by your side, either watching you win or watching you die."

"Until the very end."

"Keep trying! Tear them down from their thrones! I look forward to that day!"

"In the final moment, I forgive all your sins."

A pleased smile appeared on the woman's lips as she gently lowered her head, revealing scarlet patterns on her body.
