Chapter 1 How about we get married?

Chapter 1 How about we get married?

Lin Jin spent a whole week looking for a suitable place to end his life.

I wanted a place with few people, where it wouldn't hit anyone, and where it wouldn't affect other people's lives and businesses. Then I looked through a lot of information and cases and found this bridge.

There are few people on the arch bridge as the sun sets.

Lin Jin's long hair fluttered in the night wind, his eyes hidden in the gloom were tired and lifeless, and he was tall, thin and gloomy, without any sign of life.

In contrast, Mu Xu next to him was calm and composed.

Mu Xu appeared halfway and seemed to say something when he appeared. The wind was so loud in his ears that it carried away a lot of his voice.

Lin Jin hadn't communicated with anyone for a long time, and it took him a long time to put Mu Xu's words together and react.

Mu Xu.

His high school classmate also came here to jump off the bridge.

Lin Jin asked softly, "Why do you want to commit suicide?"

Mu Xu was so dazzling in high school and his family was so happy. He almost grew up in the halo. He shouldn't do such a thing.

The night breeze swept across the bridge, carrying the scent of the lake.

Wet and dusty.

Mu Xu looked at him with his dark eyes without blinking, smiled, and responded to his words.

He said his mother urged him to get married so much that he vomited blood and was hospitalized. He said no one wanted him and he didn't know what to do.

Just come and dance.

Lin Jin didn't know that everything Mu Xu said seriously was a lie.

These were all lies he told to keep the person in front of him, the one he had secretly loved for many years.

The feelings that were never expressed in high school.

At this time, it became his motivation to lie.

Lin Jin didn't know that Mu Xu was lying, so he listened carefully and remained silent.

He had never experienced being forced to get married, so he didn't understand its power. But after thinking about it, he felt that maybe Mu Xu was really in pain, otherwise he wouldn't have fallen to this point.

But it jumped, what a pity.

He whispered, "Why don't you just stop jumping."

Mu Xu looked at him and asked, "Is it okay?"

Lin Jin said, “Okay.”

"But," Mu Xu said, "no one wants me."

Upon hearing this, Lin Jin raised his eyes and looked at the man in front of him with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes. He always felt that these words should not come out of his mouth.

After all, when he was in high school, many people pursued him just because of his looks.

He hesitated for a moment and said, "I don't think so."

Lin Jin looked at Mu Xu nervously as he casually placed his hands on the armrest, looking like he was ready to flip over at any time.

My spirit tensed up instantly: "You, how about I help you look for one? There seems to be a single girl around me."

Mu Xu said "Oh?" and said with some embarrassment: "But I like boys."

Lin Jin was stunned when he heard this.

It’s not that he has any discrimination against homosexuals. Same-sex marriage was legalized two years ago. It’s just that he didn’t expect Mu Xu to like boys.

So Lin Jin was a little worried because he didn't know any reliable boys who liked the same sex.

Lin Jin hummed, and said unconfidently, "Why don't you look for it again? You should be able to find it."

"There's no time." Mu Xu said, "My mother was so angry that she vomited blood last night, and she has a high fever today. Now either I show her the marriage certificate in the next few days, or I jump right here."

Lin Jin didn't respond because he was in a dilemma.

He knew Mu Xu's mother. It was Mu Xu's mother who helped him attend the mandatory parent-teacher conference after his parents passed away in his senior year of high school. Although it was just Aunt Mu who accidentally helped him attend the parent-teacher conference, it was the only day during that period that was relatively relaxing and particularly important to him.

Therefore, when he heard that Aunt Mu was sick, he was actually very sad.

Perhaps he couldn't accept that someone who was so happy and cheerful at the time needed to be hospitalized, and was so angry that he vomited blood. He couldn't help but feel a little anxious.

Now all I want is for Aunt Mu to stay in a good mood and stay healthy, and for Mu Xu to not do anything stupid.

"If." Mu Xu spoke to attract his attention. "I mean if, if you don't mind, could you help me? Come with me to get the certificate and appease my mother first."

Mu Xu spoke up first before Lin Jin could say anything. He uttered a soft "ah" and heard Mu Xu repeat it again.

"What I mean is, Lin Jin, why don't we get married?"

As long as Mu Xu thinks more positively, it will be possible.

There are just some things that need to be clarified.

"good."

Lin Jin hesitated for a moment and asked, "But after the fake marriage, how long will it take you to find a real marriage partner? I don't know how long it can last."

He couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't dream about those people again while half asleep, and then fall to death in a daze, thus disrupting Mu Xu's plan.

Lin Jin watched as Mu Xu turned his eyes away from him, and then turned his head away, the pain evident between his brows. His voice was dry, "One month, one month is okay?"

Lin Jin blinked and responded softly, comforting: "Don't be sad."

The decision to get the marriage certificate was obviously hasty and sudden, but when Lin Jin saw Mu Xu extending her hand towards him, he felt it was worth it.

The next day.

As soon as Lin Jin woke up, Mu Xu arrived at Lin Jin's door.

Lin Jin went downstairs in his slippers and brought the man up, poured him a cup of hot water, and then went to wash up.

He never expected that Mu Xu was so anxious to get the marriage certificate.

But then he changed his mind, as if he had thought of something, and turned off the faucet, walked quickly out to the living room, letting the water droplets on his face flow down his chin to his Adam's apple, and then disappear at his collarbone.

His voice was tense: "Auntie, are you okay?"

The only reason Lin Jin could think of why Mu Xu was so anxious to get married was that something had happened to Aunt Mu.

Mu Xu sat on the sofa, her hand holding the paper cup suddenly stopped, and her deep eyes looked at him. After a while, she looked away and said, "It's okay, I can eat and drink. It's cold, wipe the water clean first, don't catch a cold."

Lin Jin finally breathed a sigh of relief, said "oh", and turned to go into the bathroom.

When the two went to get their marriage certificate, the line wasn't long, and everything was done quickly. Lin Jin had originally thought that after getting the certificate, he would show it to his aunt and have a meal together occasionally, but he didn't expect Mu Xu to say that Aunt Mu often visited him at his place and asked if they could live together.

"If they find out that I live alone, they will definitely think too much." Mu Xu said.

Lin Jin sat in the passenger seat and was a little hesitant.

It's not that he thinks there's anything wrong with living together, after all, they're both men. However, he himself isn't normal, and from time to time, when he dreams about his family, he accidentally climbs onto the balcony or window.

Although this rarely happens now, I am still worried that it will scare Mu Xu.

He had fallen and injured his knees and arms several times because of this.

After hesitating for a while, Lin Jin felt that he still had to make things clear.

So he said, "I'm a little abnormal. I climb the balcony window when I fall asleep. I might scare you."

Lin Jin originally wanted to ask Mu Xu to think about it again, or thought that Mu Xu might ask him why he was so abnormal, but he didn't expect him to just look at him quietly.

There was a complex emotion in his eyes.

The car was parked downstairs. The trees on the roadside were full of lush and beautiful flowers. In just a moment, a few petals fell on the glass windows.

Seeing that Mu Xu didn't say anything, Lin Jin wondered if he had been too blunt, or if Mu Xu regretted it.

He asked, "Did it scare you?"

"Um."

Mu Xu deserves decisiveness.

The speed was so fast that Lin Jin was a little slow to react. He originally wanted to say something else, but was interrupted and swallowed it back in an instant.

It would be a lie to say that I don't care.

After all, this was the first time he confessed these things to others.

Although it was only out of his responsibility to be honest before living together, it still made him feel sad and helpless.

Lin Jin didn't say anything else. He lowered his eyes, leaned against the backrest, and shrank back into the shadows.

After a moment, the sound of someone unbuckling their seat belts was heard beside him, and then, amidst the sparse sounds, a source of heat accompanied by the pleasant scent of laundry detergent enveloped him.

Mu Xu leaned against his side, casually fiddling with his bangs, looking at him with eyes so close to him.

It makes people feel inexplicably itchy.

Lin Jin couldn't help but hold his breath.

Mu Xu said softly, "Fortunately, our classmate Xiao Lin is amazing and takes such good care of himself. Otherwise, if he had a little scar, I would be scared and cry."
