Chapter 45 Parents' Meeting
When Lin Jin woke up, he saw the familiar ceiling.
He stayed in this position for a long time, and suddenly he felt a little afraid that the hug was a dream and that the boy was nothing.
He looked around, but there was no one.
I propped myself up and got up and went out. My grandma was bringing out the food from the kitchen.
Lin Jin stepped forward to help carry the food and asked, "Grandma, how did I get back?"
Grandma said, "A classmate brought you back. He said you were tired and fell asleep on the way."
She touched Lin Jin's cheek lovingly and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Jin'er."
Even though the little classmate had been gone for quite a while.
She still remembered the look on his face with red eyes after he carried his darling grandson to bed and asked her to persuade Lin Jin to get more sleep.
Old Mrs. Lin suddenly realized that after her son and daughter-in-law left, she seemed to be only concerned with her own grief and was intent on seeking emotional support from Xiao Jin.
But there has never been a moment like that of the little classmate, who was so distressed that he burst into tears when he saw Xiao Jin was tired.
Xiao Jin is only 17 years old and he also lost his parents.
As Mrs. Lin thought about it, her eyes turned red again.
Lin Jin touched her shoulder, comforted her, and said, "It's okay, Xiao Jin is here. Where's that classmate? Is his stomach feeling better?"
The old lady rubbed her eyes and said, "Is he feeling sick in the stomach? When he came in, he looked quite normal, so he should be fine. Besides, he even cooked before he left."
As he spoke, he pointed to the meat and vegetable dishes on the table.
The steaming table is filled with home-cooked dishes.
It was a week later that Mu Xu saw Lin Jin again.
Lin Jin was still cold and aloof, but he had lost a lot of weight and was much calmer. He had visibly grown up overnight.
Fortunately, their class teacher just said that he was sick and never mentioned anything about his family, which did not put too much pressure on Lin Jin.
The people around him were still noisy, men and women, full of energy.
But Lin Jin didn't seem to be so integrated into the crowd anymore. It was like he was a person who was in the hustle and bustle, but his mind was completely detached from it.
The moment he saw people, Mu Xu's stomach discomfort was no longer there, and he could eat a little more.
Sometimes he saw that when the people who ate with him heard Lin Jin say he was full, they would rush to share the fried chicken legs and braised duck meat in his bowl without asking how he wanted to eat and only ate three pieces of chicken.
Mu Xu wanted to run up and push them away, cursing, "He's only eaten this much for three consecutive days. Can't you persuade him to eat more? Why does he have to snatch it away?"
Especially that guy Fu Yigu, who always pretends to care about Lin Jin.
But at this time he said: "It's better to eat less. Eating less will make you look better."
Mu Xu almost slapped him.
He was grateful for Lin Jin and Fu Yigu's help, even though he really disliked this impetuous person.
But after Lin Jin returned to school, whether it was when they were having dinner together, or when he took Lin Jin to the corridor and asked him what happened, or after he learned that Lin Jin's parents had passed away.
When he saw Lin Jin covering his face with his hands and looking south, with a smile on his lips, Mu Xu felt uneasy.
But Lin Jin doesn't like to do things violently.
He could only intervene in their affairs little by little, interrupt their conversations, and feed Lin Jin.
Without thinking, he started with the Chinese teacher.
He began to stock up on a lot of fruit milk and gave some to Teacher Yang every day pretending to be casual.
He knew that Lin Jin, as the Chinese class representative, was the most favored by Teacher Yang, who often couldn't help but share some food with him.
When Lin Jin received the gifts, he would eat them all out of politeness, regardless of whether he liked them or not.
So Mu Xu took a roundabout way and stocked up on a lot of food and drinks every day, and then shared them with Teacher Yang sweetly.
Fu Yigu's gang is unreliable, so he will take over.
Sure enough, every time Lin Jin went to Teacher Yang to ask questions or get homework, she would stuff him with a bunch of food, and he would eat it obediently.
Mu Xu fed the baby indirectly like this for several weeks.
Feeding the children is easy to solve, but parent-teacher meetings are a big problem.
The school usually holds a very important parent-teacher meeting before the college entrance examination. Mu Xu silently sends Lin Jin home every week and only feels relieved when Grandma Lin picks him up.
I found out that Grandma Lin happened to be unwell that day.
In other words, no one held a meeting for him.
Mu Xu panicked again when he heard Lin Jin tell Teacher Yang that he would attend the parent-teacher meeting alone tonight.
He quickly called Ms. Qiao and asked her to come over with Mr. Mu.
Ms. Qiao didn't know why her son was so sudden, but she was still very happy. After all, it was rare for this little adult to take the initiative to ask them for help.
Ms. Qiao quickly put down her mahjong and drove for half an hour to No. 1 High School.
It was not until she met her son with Mr. Mu and learned about Lin Jin's situation after a brief conversation that she felt so heartbroken that tears fell.
She looked up at the sky and whimpered, "Why are you doing this to my eye makeup, little darling?"
After finally protecting her eye makeup and calming down, she stepped into her high heels and pretended to walk casually in front of Lin Jin, saying, "Hey, who's this cute little girl sitting here alone?"
Ms. Qiao thought her acting was pretty good, but it was undeniable that she still scared the child in front of her.
Lin Jin looked at her warily, but still said politely, "Auntie, can't you find the classroom?"
Ms. Qiao groaned and curled her lips. "It's not that I can't find the classroom. My boy, Mu Xu, you know me, doesn't like the way I dress too flamboyantly. He didn't let me go to the parent-teacher conference and insisted that his dad go instead, leaving me out in the cold."
She tugged at her gorgeous skirt exaggeratedly: "I worked so hard to dress up, spending half an hour just on my makeup and skincare beforehand, and now they leave a beautiful woman like me here!"
Finished complaining.
She seemed to react at this moment and asked, "Why are you here alone, dear?"
Lin Jin hesitated for a moment, then remembered Mu Xu's appearance, and then he said obediently: "I'll wait until everyone is seated before going in."
Ms. Qiao's eyes suddenly lit up: "Are the good parents not free to come today?"
What should have been a somewhat depressing statement was brought to a joyful tone by her cheerful tone.
Before Lin Jin could speak, she said, "Can I go with you to the parent-teacher conference? I really want to attend one, but that brat in my family always complains that I dress too extravagantly."
Lin Jin was stunned, totally unable to understand why Mu Xu thought Aunt Mu's dress was exaggerated.
Not to mention that Aunt Mu is so beautiful.
Even a normal girl shouldn't be disliked like this.
He complained in his heart, but couldn't believe it and said, "Really...really? Auntie, you are not exaggerating. You are very beautiful."
Ms. Qiao hugged Lin Jin tightly and cried out, "Thank you for giving me this opportunity. You are much cuter than that brat in my family!"
After complaining, she felt that she couldn't let her brat have a bad image, so she hurriedly said, "But Mu Xu can cook, wash clothes and sweep the floor. Although he often has a stern face like a little adult sometimes, he is still a very good boyfriend."
Lin Jin didn't hear anything about Mu Xu at all. His mind was filled with the fact that Aunt Mu was going to call a parent-teacher meeting for him.
Aunt Mu was indeed eager to hold a parent-teacher conference as she said. Whether she saw his report card in her seat or heard the teacher praise him, she proudly said to the nearby parents: "Oh, my child, you have done well. You have done well. He is so outstanding."
After being proud, she whispered to Lin Jin: "Baby, Mommy is so proud of you!"
During the parent-teacher conference, Lin Jin almost forgot that Aunt Mu was pretending to be his mother.
After the meeting, Lin Jin saw the legendary Mu Xu up close for the first time.
His facial features are three-dimensional, and he looks handsome and calm.
But he wasn't as cold as the legend said. It might be because he was being scolded by Aunt Mu, and he was watching him being scolded.
So maybe he felt ashamed, his ears were red, and he stood there quietly.
Lin Jin bowed deeply to Aunt Mu, and just as he was about to leave, Aunt Mu grabbed his wrist.
She said enthusiastically, "Come on, little darling, you can go to the seafood buffet with your mother."
As she spoke, she patted Uncle Mu and said, "Dad, go drive over here quickly. Both babies are hungry."
After a while, the car slowly stopped in front of them.
Just as Lin Jin was about to open the door, Mu Xu came over from somewhere, opened the door first, and motioned for him to go in first.
Aunt Mu's voice came from the passenger seat: "Xuxu, take good care of your brother."
Lin Jin paused, thanked him, and then went up to sit down. Mu Xu followed and sat half an arm's length away from him.
Lin Jin had heard that Mu Xu was a quiet person, but he didn't expect that he would be so quiet even when his family was around, so quiet that he felt a little restrained.
He moved his fingertips, sighed in his heart, and then turned to look out the window.
Before he could see the scenery outside the window clearly, he heard Mu Xu whisper, "I'm one month younger than you."
Lin Jin exclaimed, his first reaction was not how Mu Xu knew his date of birth.
But I think this voice is so familiar.
He was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at Mu Xu and said with a smile, "Then I'll peel the shrimp for you later. I heard that children like to eat shrimp without the shell."
Mu Xu suddenly looked away.
After a while, he said, "I'm not a child."
Maybe he didn't like others treating him as a child. During the dinner, Mu Xu kept peeling shrimps for Lin Jin as if he wanted to prove that he was not a child.
After peeling the abalone, he continued to stuff abalone and other nutritional supplements into his bowl.
Until the end, Lin Jin held his belly with one hand and supported Mu Xu with the other, and walked out of the restaurant.
Lin Jin had never seen someone as enthusiastic as Aunt Mu. Not only did she invite him to the parent-teacher meeting and have dinner with him, she even sent him home after dinner.
Lin Jin couldn't refuse, so he reported to a hospital.
He explained: "Grandma has been feeling unwell recently and is in the hospital."
…
Lin Jin and Mu Xu met again on the last day of the college entrance examination.
That day, he ran into Mu Xu as soon as he came out of the examination room.
At the same time, there is Teacher Yang.
When Teacher Yang saw him come out, she loosened her arms around Mu Xu, opened them towards him, and said, "You've worked hard too."
He smiled at Mu Xu, then hugged Teacher Yang. After hugging, he realized that Teacher Yang also taught Mu Xu's class.
No wonder you are here, it turns out you are here to see Teacher Yang.
He thought.
Teacher Yang looked at them both reluctantly, then asked casually, "Which schools are you two planning to apply to? Of course, if you mind, don't tell me."
After saying that, she looked at Lin Jin with burning eyes.
Lin Jin naturally didn't mind. He smiled and said it without hesitation.
After he finished speaking, he saw his grandmother standing at the school gate out of the corner of his eye. He hurriedly said goodbye to Teacher Yang and Mu Xu, turned around and left the teaching building, walking towards the door.
Once again, he left a thin back view to Mu Xu.
