Chapter 46: Drunk
After officially graduating from high school, Mu Xu experienced the most agonizing three months of his life.
During those three months, his life was completely disconnected from school, with only time and the driver's license test in his schedule. And the person he wanted to see disappeared from his circle for a long time.
So Mu Xu endured it again and again, and finally after more than a month, he couldn't bear it anymore and went to the McDonald's downstairs from Lin Jin's house and sat there for an afternoon.
Then no one was seen, but Fu Yigu was found. He should have known where Lin Jin's house was, but he didn't go up.
Instead, he was replying to some text messages while guarding the community.
Mu Xu quickly stood up and followed him, and only felt relieved after seeing Fu Yi Gu leave.
Then he stood downstairs in the community, looking at the balcony with lights on for a long time. The emotions in his chest could not dissipate. Instead, the more he looked, the stronger they became, swelling to the point of almost exploding.
When he returned home at night, Mu Xu discovered that he was indeed not a tolerant person.
Now that they were not familiar with each other, he just couldn't see Lin Jin, so he ran downstairs of the other person's building and waited like a pervert, wishing he could hug him when he saw him.
If he had truly enjoyed being close to Lin Jin, Lin Jin thought, he would have been extremely extreme, like a terrifying pervert, unable to resist clinging to him 24 hours a day, resentful that anyone who appeared around him would never be able to return to a life without him.
Mu Xu agreed with Ms. Qiao's point of view.
In this complex society where there is great discrimination against homosexuals, he should actually keep his distance. This is the best way to protect him.
Whether viewed from the perspective of a complex society.
Or just look at his extreme behavior.

On the day of reporting to the university, three months later, Mu Xu saw Lin Jin for the first time in a long time.
He seemed to have lost some weight, his clothes were a little loose, his skin was colder and paler, and his eyes, like a vast sea of stars, had lost some of their brightness.
But Mu Xu still couldn't take his eyes off.
He looked across the sea of people, staring straight at the figure in the distance.
He silently covered his pounding heart, lowered his head and whispered to it: "Okay, okay, I know you are happy."
But while it's fun, there are also many bad things.
For example, although his and Lin Jin's colleges are both on the main campus, they are far apart. It would be as difficult as climbing to the sky to pretend to pass by each other.
Lin Jin became much quieter in his new environment. He had already noticed this in high school, but back then he was surrounded by people he knew, and when everyone started to make noise, he would join in the fun so as not to disturb everyone else.
But they are basically just supporting roles.
But he is always able to be at ease in social situations, and control all social interactions to an appropriate degree, making people feel comfortable without giving the other person the feeling that I can drink with him all night and make jokes with him without restraint.
Over time, everyone would think of him and remind him when they had homework to hand in or when they had a competition, but they would not call him when they were drinking or having a meal together.
Because in their eyes, Lin Jin doesn't like the hustle and bustle.
Lin Jin really didn't like the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Whenever he had some free time, he would go home and spend time with his grandmother. The grandmother had been in poor health in recent years, and Lin Jin was worried about her. So before he came to report, he rented a house here and brought his grandmother over to live with him.
Then every few days I would buy two roast duck legs and bring them home to eat with the old lady.
Sister Chen's face was still full of collagen, her brows were full of tenderness, and her memory was good. After Lin Jin came a few times, she remembered this child.
Later, we talked slowly and became acquaintances who could chat with each other.
At first, Sister Chen thought that Lin Jin ate two by himself and could never gain weight. Later, when she asked, she found out that there was an old lady in her 70s at Lin Jin's family who also ate with him. Her face froze for a moment.
From then on, she would take out two freshly cut duck legs from a separate package every day and wait for Lin Jin. Even if Lin Jin didn't come that day, she would still roast them.
This went on for more than half a month, and she saw the grandmother that Lin Jin had mentioned.
The old man was extremely thin, his face almost devoid of energy, and he looked as if he was on his last breath. His back was severely hunched, and he had to hold his head high when looking at people.
Sister Chen watched as the old lady said something to Lin Jin, and then Lin Jin bought two duck legs and strolled with her. The old lady had a kind face and a big smile, but Lin Jin's eyes were red and he didn't say a word for a long time.
The old man patted Lin Jin and said, "It took a lot of effort for you to let me come out for a while, so give me a smile."
Sister Chen watched them strolling toward the end of the busy city. For some reason, she suddenly felt like she would never see this scene again.
She blinked her dry eyes and looked again, only to find a tall and handsome young man following behind them. She knew the young man, whose surname was Mu Mingxu, and he was also a regular customer of hers, but he would only come to buy one shortly after Lin Jin had finished.
Later, when she saw Mu Xu coming, she also learned to answer quickly like she did to Lin Jin.
"Same old style, slightly spicy, with more honey?"
The young man nodded every time and said, "Yeah."
Today he didn't follow the others to buy anything. He just slowed down his pace and quietly followed Lin Jin and the others, step by step, until they disappeared around the corner.
For about half a month after that day, she didn't see the two young men again.
The wind blew away the clouds, and the street lights lit up one by one.
When we met again, the first person to see us was Lin Jin.
In just half a month, he lost a lot of weight, his face looked haggard and tired, his eye sockets were a little swollen, his long eyelashes drooped lightly, and his beautiful eyes were quietly hidden in the shadows.
Loneliness almost consumed him completely.
His voice was so hoarse it was hard to tell what he was saying. He said, "Sister Chen, I'd like a duck leg, slightly spicy, with lots of honey. Thank you."
For some reason, Sister Chen always felt that the wind was a little strong today and the oven was a little hot.
Even my eyes are dry.
She blinked and replied, "Yeah."
After that, she never heard Lin Jin mention the old lady again, nor did she see him buy two duck legs at once. The premonition that day finally came true. The old lady passed away, leaving behind only this well-behaved and sensible child.
Let him gradually get used to eating roast duck legs alone.
Her duck legs became her emotional sustenance.
But perhaps out of habit, Sister Chen still asked the market staff to save her two fresh duck legs every day. However, from then on, she sold one to Lin Jin and the other to Mu Xu, the young man who was always the next to come and buy.
As usual, not long after Lin Jin appeared that day, Mu Xu also appeared.
He was even thinner than Lin Jin's kid. It seemed that in just half a month, his stomach had been severely upset and nauseous due to something painful, which resulted in him not being able to eat normally for a long time.
Sister Chen suddenly hated how small her duck legs were.
Later, Lin Jin's hair grew longer, and his expression became duller. Only when he accepted the duck leg would he force a polite smile and say, "Thank you."
It rained a little that day. Lin Jin, holding an umbrella and dressed in black, walked in the rain. He came to buy duck legs again, and then left quietly.
The owner of the stall next door stared at his departing figure, shivering uncontrollably. He leaned over to Sister Chen's ear and gossiped, saying, "The young man who just came to buy your duck legs was so eerie, like a ghost. He gave me nightmares in the middle of the night."
As he spoke, he was completely unaware that half a year ago, he had given Lin Jin an extra cake because he thought he was good-looking.
Sister Chen looked at the child walking away and retorted in a fierce and protective tone, "Shut up! How could such a well-behaved child be scary?! You're an adult, and you're still yelling at me."
After scolding, I felt so heartbroken that I couldn't speak.
Raise your hand and wipe your tears under the awning.
I've clearly seen him with my own eyes, the gentle and energetic man he was back then. He was just forced into this because he lost a family. He's already feeling miserable under such immense pressure, and now I have to say this to him.
This old man is immortal.
The boss who was gossiping seemed to want to retort, but when he turned around, he saw the young man who came to buy duck legs looking down at him lightly. The cold and heavy eyes only glanced at him lightly, but it made him feel a chill on the back of his head, and even the words of rebuttal were stuck in his throat, and he dared not speak again.
He suddenly felt that the gloomy young man in front of him was not so scary. Instead, the neatly dressed young man made him inexplicably feel that he could go see Tai Nai.
Mu Xu deliberately slowed down his pace when passing by his stall, as if wondering whether to let him go. Finally, when he saw the figure of the young man in the distance, he left as if doing a favor and followed the figure that had already reached the intersection.

Half a month ago, Grandma Lin passed away, and Lin Jin took care of everything by himself.
This time he no longer needed to hold on, no one needed to rely on him, and he no longer needed to rely on sleep to ease his emotions.
He can drink and be unrestrained.
So he drank bottle after bottle of wine in front of the convenience store.
His phone was still vibrating, and he knew it was his aunt again, asking him if he had apologized to his parents today and why he hadn't taken good care of his grandmother.
Lin Jin found it funny. Why couldn't he just ask him if he was doing well?
Send it, send more.
Lin Jin drank like crazy until he was completely drunk. He was so drunk that he didn't even realize to push away several people who were surrounding him and were trying to get their hands on him.
The group of men and women surrounded him and said, "Add WeChat, handsome boy, add WeChat and come play with us, okay?"
But before they could open his phone, Lin Jin was picked up by someone.
Mu Xu had never been so glad that he moved here. If it had been any later, he couldn't believe what would have happened.
He touched Lin Jin's cheek and saw that he was fine. Then he turned around, snatched the phone from the gangsters, and shouted angrily, "Get lost."
The faces of the people who were intercepted changed drastically: "Where did you come from? Don't you understand the principle of first come first served?"
As soon as they finished speaking, the drunk man suddenly threw himself into the young man's arms and began to cry, saying, "Come and comfort me."
He grabbed his clothes and said aggrievedly, "I feel bad."
