Chapter 45 SSR [Officer·Sheep King]

There is indeed nothing here except books - but the necessities of life are still there.

"Nakahara Chuuya" rejected the suggestion after just one look at "Dazai Osamu" concentrating on reading a book. He himself was not a person who particularly liked reading literary works, so he didn't think much about these things.

Zhong Yuanzhong didn't force himself to end the topic and said, "What is the situation of the literary world in your world?"

Just from the simple description given by "Dazai Osamu" (perhaps half-true and half-false), you can hear how suffocating it is - almost most famous writers don't write books, although I don't know if Mr. Miyazawa doesn't write poetry either - wait, this assumption is too scary!

Startled by his own thoughts, Nakahara Chuuya promptly stopped thinking about the danger and stopped thinking about it further.

"That's it, anyway." He said this hastily, turned around and left, sitting at the table on the other side of the bookshelf.

Thus, only two visitors from another world were left standing in the huge library, and a subtle silence fell.

"Nakahara Chuuya" was not very familiar with the roads here. Even though he had a brief introduction before, he did not remember them completely. It was easy to get lost if he wandered around here. He sat back in his chair, pulling at his hood rope intermittently, and really couldn't think of anything else to do.

It seems that his special abilities are also suppressed. I don't know if this is the case with "Dazai Osamu", but Nakahara Chuuya can still realize that the special abilities he can use here are less than about half of what he can use in normal conditions.

The two of them maintained a rare balance for a while, until Dazai Osamu finished reading the book "Rashomon" and put it back to its original place and walked out.

"Nakahara Chuuya" was a little sleepy, so he simply lay on the table, using his arms as a pillow, curling his arms around his head. But he remained alert, so when "Dazai Osamu" approached him, he suddenly woke up and turned his head to look at him warily.

He took his hand back and did not move closer. Dazai Osamu sat on another chair. There was no one else here except Nakahara Chuuya who was reading quietly on the other side.

He simply knocked on the silent system, asking it to create a chat room, but to no avail. The system coldly rejected the request.

His fingertips tapped the tabletop, and his sleeves retracted slightly to reveal the white bandages wrapped around his wrists, which were also neatly wrapped around his neck. "Nakahara Chuuya" could probably guess that this guy was probably wrapped in bandages all over his body.

Is it really not hot in the summer? "Nakahara Chuuya" suddenly had this question.

"We still have to go back later."

He seemed to have just mentioned it casually, and had no intention of getting a reply from "Nakahara Chuuya". His momentary fatigue quickly returned to normal.

"Dazai Osamu" lay down on the table in boredom. There was no entertainment equipment here. He didn't bring any game console, and he didn't even have any communication equipment - because it was broken when he entered the water.

"The Odasaku here..."

He muttered, and became a little curious about what Oda Sakunosuke would look like here. Half of his face was buried in his arms, and only his eyes were exposed to scan the surroundings. The specific appearance was completely no different from an ordinary library - but bigger and more... luxurious?

"Odasaku!"

Perhaps it was what he thought, "Dazai Osamu" was about to get up and walk around, when he suddenly heard the voice of Dazai Osamu from this world who had left for a long time.

It was a familiar direction - the hidden library, where they had appeared from.

But the tone of the voice was a little off. "Dazai Osamu" thought as he quickly walked towards the hidden library.

The door of the study room was not closed. When he walked to the door, he saw a person lying on the ground and Dazai Osamu squatting beside him in panic.

There was no one else here. Dazai Osamu's eyes stopped at the long-haired man, and he rarely showed any hesitation: "Oda Saku?"

Oda Sakunosuke struggled to muster up his energy after hearing the sound, but he collapsed halfway due to exhaustion.

Dazai Osamu's pupils trembled, and the scene before his eyes overlapped with the scene of Oda Saku's death in his memory - is tragedy necessary?

He stood there motionless. Dazai Osamu had already helped Oda Sakunosuke up and walked towards the infirmary, with Akutagawa Ryunosuke helping him from behind.

The book floating in the air was surrounded by a dark light, and the pages were eroded. After a moment, "Dazai Osamu" smiled, took a last look at the author's name, and turned away.

"Well... since they are not the same person, there is no need for me to interfere."

The time waiting for the end of the dive book is undoubtedly boring.

"Dazai Osamu" has nothing to do with the rogues here, but the mission requires meeting three of them to complete it.

The book that was eroded is "Under the Cherry Blossom Forest", written by Ango Sakaguchi.

He couldn't find this book on the bookshelf for now, but the others were still there and he could find them and read them. During this time, he passed by the works of Oda Sakunosuke, but he just glanced at the title and didn't pay much attention to it.

The acting director walked to his feet in small steps, tilting his cat face up, his whiskers trembling from time to time. "Dazai Osamu" simply sat down with the book in his hand, leaning against the bookshelf and flipping through the text page by page.

In this environment where all the great writers have given up literature and turned to martial arts, the only person who still insists on writing in the literary world is the one he knows. It must be said that in comparison, the literary world in their world is poor, with few famous authors or poets, and most of them just make a small splash and then there is no follow-up.

As time passed, "Dazai Osamu" finished reading the book in silence. The acting curator who had been standing by his side retracted his claws and carefully pushed out a book with his paw pads.

It was the work of Oda Sakunosuke that he had never taken.

"You seem to be very interested in this." The acting curator stared at him. "How about taking a look?"

“That’s not necessary at all.”

The books were gently put away, and the clean bookshelves were free of dust, which made people feel better when they saw them.

Dazai Osamu's voice inexplicably softened: "You will see it in the novel written by Oda Saku in my world."

"You'll definitely see it."

"Hey Dazai." "Nakahara Chuuya" stood at the door with his arms folded and his head tilted inside. The injured Oda Sakunosuke woke up and sneaked out in the middle of the process, but was discovered by Shito Chuuya, who failed to stop him. He could only send him all the way to the hidden book room and waited there for quite a while before all four of them came out safe and sound - and Akutagawa Ryunosuke also participated in the hidden book.

"Nakahara Chuuya" didn't care what his expression was now, and raised his chin towards Oda Sakunosuke who was surrounded in the middle: "I can see that you are not feeling well when you hear that guy's name, why don't you say something?"

"Saying goodbye?" "Dazai Osamu" sighed, "I don't want to hang out with them. We're all leaving anyway."

"Oh, Odasaku! Look over there, that's Dazai Osamu from another world!"

Joyful voices came from the house.

Dazai Osamu looked up and met the eyes of Oda Sakunosuke who looked at him following the voice. The latter was stunned for a moment, then smiled and greeted him.

To some extent, they are inexplicably similar.

"Let's go." He pinched the tip of "Nakahara Chuuya's" hood with two fingers. The news of leaving had already been told to others, so it didn't matter whether they said goodbye or not.

"Nakahara Chuuya" slapped the hand away and turned around. Similarly, the poet Chuuya, who was standing in the corner of the room, also looked back, but his eyes were fixed on his hand.

"That's why Chuya is so evil. She even got the gift!"

"You were obviously watching me answer the phone, weren't you?! Don't talk to me in that tone! Who is older?"

The wind blew into the room through the half-open window, and the glass reflected the bright sunlight, making the window sill warm.

A cat walked silently to the bottom of the building, looked up, and saw only a corner of the window and some green plants.

Inside the detective agency, Dazai Osamu was lying on the sofa with his eyes closed as usual, taking a short rest, while Kunikida Dopo was furiously processing paperwork for both of them, not even blinking at the sound of his computer keyboard clacking away.

Edogawa paused as he was opening a bag of potato chips, and a faint smile appeared on his lips. He leaned back and sank into the soft back of the chair.

"Dazai, aren't you going to open the door?"

There was no movement on the sofa.

Edogawa Ranpo: "You will regret it."

As soon as he finished speaking, there were two light knocks on the door of the detective agency. It would be more accurate to say it was a tap. Dazai Osamu heard something from his words, stood up instantly, and strode to the door.

After opening the door, the room was empty. Dazai Osamu's gaze shifted downwards, and he didn't even notice that his eyes had begun to shine.

The dark red cat was sitting at the door. When it noticed his gaze, it raised its paw and waved, "Long time no see, Dazai."

"I'm back."

The author has something to say: ——Text END——

I thought about whether I should write a longer essay, but after thinking about it, I didn't seem to have any ideas, because the latent book cannot be included, and the daily words will overlap with the previous ones, so I just wrote a simple one.

The gift taken away is a collection of poems, which will eventually be given to the person himself.

You can probably guess who it is.

The ending was indeed a bit hasty, so I decided to add a bonus episode.

It should be dropped during the National Day. I will write about the daily life of Akihabara Neko, and will also add Demon Slayer: The World, Toran... It's to be determined for now, and I haven't decided what to write yet.
