A night breeze swept by, carrying fallen leaves. Huo Feijun's face twitched slightly, and he fell silent for a moment.
After a moment, he narrowed his eyes and stared directly at the silver ring. The prison formation was set up by many cultivators; how exactly did this little girl break through it?
Digging a hole in... What a joke!
The entire prison was shrouded in an array, including the underground area. Opening a separate passage underground to enter the prison was simply impossible... Could it be that the array had some flaw that no one was aware of?
Thinking of this, Huo Fei's expression tightened slightly. None of the demons in this prison were pushovers; if they really found a weakness, the consequences...
Huo Fei fell into deep thought. Seeing his silence and lack of response, Yin Huan paused, thinking to herself: Could this eagle be planning to go back on its word?
Thinking of this, Silver Ring flicked its tail and said angrily, "I'm going in to find my elder brother. You can't go back on your word."
Hearing Yin Huan's clear voice, Huo Fei snapped out of his reverie. He lowered his head, pondered for a moment, then looked at Yin Huan and said, "I'll take you inside. Luo Mang is in seclusion; once we're there, don't disturb him."
"You're really going to send me in?" Silver Ring asked in surprise. The fulfillment of her wish was so easy that it almost felt unreal.
Is this guy really that easy to talk to? No, he's definitely up to something.
Thinking this through, Silver Ring nodded secretly, convinced that she had definitely guessed the truth...
Bah! Trying to play dirty tricks on her? Dream on. Once she reunites with her brother, he won't be able to pull off any schemes, whether open or covert.
"Well, there are three rules: once you're inside, you're not allowed to leave the prison without my permission." Huo Fei stared directly at Yin Huan, his mind racing.
This little girl's cultivation level was mediocre; aside from appearing rather clever, there was nothing unusual about her. He wasn't sure if his suspicions were right or wrong. If she were a demon with accumulated merit, she probably wouldn't last long in prison.
Never mind, let's first find out who among her and Luo Mang has accumulated merit. He also wants to see how she ended up in and out of prison.
Huo Fei wasn't entirely confident about Yin Huan and Luo Mang, the siblings. Normally, after so much time cultivating before the Buddha, he should be able to tell at a glance whether a person or demon possessed merit, but this time, something unexpected had happened. To this day, he still couldn't discern which of the two, Luo Mang and Yin Huan, was the abnormal one.
All he knew was that Luo Mang's golden light of merit appeared after Yin Huan went to prison, and that within two days of the light appearing, Luo Mang showed signs of advancing in rank. As for Yin Huan... she was just a weak demon with low cultivation, who hadn't even cultivated her demon essence.
Upon hearing this, Yin Huan nodded her head sharply, as if afraid that Huo Fei would change his mind, and immediately said, "I won't go out, I won't go out... I definitely won't go out."
She finally got in; there's no way she's going to leave now. This time, she's not leaving no matter what.
"Let's go then!"
Huo Fei planned to find out the details of the two siblings before making a decision. If he really couldn't tell them apart, he would send both of them to Luohan Temple.
"Uh-huh."
Silver Ring nodded vigorously, scrambled off the blue monkey in a flash, and then glared at Huo Fei with snake eyes, telling him to lead the way.
This guy is a bit wicked, but he's incredibly useful. With him leading the way, it's like she's got a pass to prison, openly proving she's a demon locked up. From now on, no one, no matter who it is, can claim she smuggled herself in, let alone let her leave without a reason.
...Who said Yinhuan is stupid? Look at her, she's quite clever. She's just a little eccentric; her intelligence is something most people can't handle.
Huo Fei nodded, glanced at the little monkey closely following Yin Huan, and asked, "What should we do with this little guy?"
Silver Ring can go to the predator enclosure, after all, she's a demon. But this little monkey is clearly an unintelligent animal. The prison's array only targets demons; it doesn't affect ordinary animals. If this monkey gets restless and runs off to another cage, this monkey might...
“Of course you’ll follow me,” Silver Ring said bluntly.
Huo Fei: "You're going to the beast zone; it's full of demons..."
Silver Ring: "Don't be afraid, the blue monkey is very clever, it's not afraid of them."
"..." Huo Fei paused, feeling a bit tired of talking to Yin Huan. He twitched his eyebrows and said bluntly, "The demons inside are all carnivorous."
Yin Huan looked up and glanced at Huo Fei: "So what if they eat meat? My older brother is inside. Who would dare to eat Blue Monkey?"
The eldest brother is the most powerful; the demons inside are no match for him. Besides, the blue monkey is smart enough not to be foolish enough to go and be eaten by those demons.
Huo Fei was speechless. He shook his head and sighed, glanced at the snake and monkey at his feet, turned around, and walked towards the predator enclosure. Seeing this, Silver Ring swept its tail across the blue monkey, taking it with it as they chased after them.
Inside the beast enclosure, a group of demons watched as the hole they had painstakingly dug was instantly filled in, and they all collapsed to the ground in despair.
Damn it, are you even letting the demons live like this?
Look, they dug holes for eight days straight, and... they didn't even manage to dig a mouse hole.
They dug so many holes that they began to suspect the existence of a demon.
Sigh... It can't go on forever with Huo Fei ruining things. Looks like we need to find a way to distract him. Otherwise, in this situation, they could dig a tunnel until next year and still not get out.
It's strange, though. Given their abilities as powerful demons, how come they couldn't even make a hole?
Could the girl from the neighboring snake family be trying to fool them?
Well, whether they were scammed or not, their only way out of prison right now is to dig a tunnel.
