Yin Huan's trip to the school was very fruitful; she not only took a lot of photos, but also captured a fox.
As the sun set, Ahui drove back to Minghao Residential Area with the few monsters in the car. Ahui was very curious about what the fox spirit looked like, so as he entered the residential area, he kept peeking behind Yinhuan's little skirt, trying to see where she had hidden the fox she had caught.
Stepping into the residential area, Qingmang's nonchalant steps subconsciously paused. His gloomy eyes darted around, and he immediately went on high alert, secretly investigating any unusual activity in the neighborhood.
There was someone lurking in the shadows, friend or foe, a thorn in his side, keeping him constantly on edge. Time was too short to move; otherwise, he would never have let Yinhuan stay in Minghao Residential Complex.
Silver Ring's senses were no less than Green Python's; it was just that her little brain reacted a bit slowly. When she left at noon, she didn't notice any changes in the neighborhood, but when she returned, she felt that something was off about the place.
Strange, the eerie aura in the neighborhood seems to have disappeared.
Silver Ring was puzzled. She dragged the fox to the ground floor of Building 8 and flicked her tail a few times in frustration.
"Has this place been tampered with?" Yin Huan raised her little head and stared at the sky above Building No. 8.
When Ahui and I returned from the market at noon, the neighborhood was still filled with their unique demonic aura. How come all the demonic aura disappeared after just one afternoon?
It's illogical that there's no demonic aura where demons live.
"Yes, it must have been the person who came into our house at noon who moved things here." The green python's face was cold and stern, and his mind was on edge.
Silver Ring's eyes lit up, and it flicked its tail again: "Have you checked the house? Did he put any demon-revealing mirrors or anything like that in the house?"
It seems that the uninvited guest today really has some skills. I wonder if he had some ill intentions and placed a demon-revealing mirror in her house. She should go back and look for it; if she finds one, she can use it to look at herself and maybe see her true form.
To be honest, it must be really tiring for this half-human, half-snake to walk with a tail. It was better when it was a small snake; with a twist of its tail, it could not only walk but also twist into a spiral shape.
"A demon-revealing mirror... Are there such things as demon-revealing mirrors among magical artifacts? I've never heard of them before." The green python paused, somewhat bewildered.
I don't think there's such a thing as a demon-revealing mirror among Taoist magical artifacts, but I have heard that bronze mirrors can ward off evil spirits.
Silver Ring: "The Taoist priests on TV all have one. As soon as the camera shines on us, we immediately reveal our true forms. It's pretty awesome."
"Stop watching that stuff, it's all fabricated, not real." Qingmang rubbed her forehead, wondering what strange TV shows she'd been watching.
Silver Ring was somewhat disappointed: "So there's no demon-revealing mirror after all!"
What a waste of your time.
"Let's go home." Silver Ring shrugged her small shoulders and dragged the invisible fox into the building.
The unfortunate fox, barely breathing and being dragged behind her, was now filled with fear and dread. His narrow fox eyes were filled with deep despair, and his furry face showed utter hopelessness.
He felt as if he had been struck by lightning, trembling with fear and trepidation.
Back at school, Fox had encountered a formidable foe and was beaten until he was exhausted. He was so focused on calling for his grandmother to come to his rescue that he didn't notice Silver Ring's strange behavior at all.
But after getting out of the car, the white tail that came into view made her realize that she had made a big mistake.
Nuwa... not the stone statue Nuwa, but the living Nuwa!
When did Nuwa descend to earth? Why did she appear on a university campus?
She actually treated Nuwa as prey... Waaaaah, Grandma, the little fox is going to be skinned alive!
The little fox was filled with bitterness; she felt she was doomed this time.
When Yin Huan returned home, she removed the illusion from the little fox and tossed her into the center of the living room. Pointing at the feigning-death fox, she said to Qing Mang, "This fox wants to eat me. Teach her how to be a demon. What's with her wanting to eat people and demons all the time? Doesn't she know that our demon race is walking on thin ice right now, constantly being fought over by demon hunters? If we let these demons continue to mess around, we'll all be doomed sooner or later."
Silver Ring gave a soft hum.
She wasn't really stupid, she just wasn't inclined to use her brain. She wasn't oblivious to the tense standoff between the demon race and the human race.
"Okay, teach me."
A look of delight flashed in the blue python's deep eyes. Its master had only been out of prison for a short time, yet he seemed to be getting smarter and smarter, even using idioms. It seemed this human Black Bear had captured along the way was actually quite useful. From now on, Silver Ring would learn more from him.
She tossed the fox spirit to the green python, raised an eyebrow, and began to inspect her house, swishing her tail. She wanted to see if the stranger who had suddenly appeared had tampered with her home.
"A red-haired fox? Is this the legendary fire fox?"
Ah Hui squatted down, looking at the red fox on the ground, its face covered in blood and a size larger than a normal fox, its eyes filled with curiosity.
The fox spirit hung her head, motionless, her eyes filled with fear.
"What's so interesting about a scruffy fox spirit? Go cook." The green python glanced at Ahui, took a long stride, and walked to the fox spirit's side.
He kicked the fox spirit, his deep eyes flashing with a dark light: "Little demon, what is your relationship with Hongniang?"
In the demon realm, there is a renowned fire fox. That fire fox is called Hongniang. She came from the Zen Emperor Cave and has already cultivated seven tails. She is currently the most powerful fox in the fox clan.
Five hundred years ago, he had seen this matchmaker; she seemed to have gone astray. Centuries have passed, and he wondered if the demoness still existed.
However, it all depends on individual fate. Following the demonic path that Hongniang has taken, even with the blessed land of Zen Emperor Cave suppressing her, she will likely fall into the demonic path sooner or later.
