Chapter 1 Prologue (1)

Clouds and mist swirl around Qilin Mountain.

A girl dressed in plain clothes was practicing swordsmanship at the foot of the mountain. Her expression was firm, her moves were fierce, and she had memorized the sword manual.

This girl is none other than An Zhengzheng.

She was originally the eldest daughter of the modern An Group, who had just returned from studying abroad and was preparing to take over the family business. Unexpectedly, her plane crashed, and she transmigrated to this strange world of cultivation, becoming a newborn baby.

She is now the eldest daughter of the An family, one of the four great families of cultivators, named An Zhengzheng, aged fourteen.

"Big sister, Mom and Dad want us to hurry to the ancestral hall. The uncles and elders from the clan will be here soon," her younger sister, An Yirou, called out to her.

An Yirou is as gentle and delicate as her name suggests. She is also kind and innocent. The two sisters have a very good relationship.

“Alright, I’ll go with you.” An Zhengzheng sheathed his sword, chanted an incantation, and then flew away on his sword with his sister.

An Yirou immediately stood on it. Seeing that An Zhengzheng was very steady on the sword, she couldn't help but say enviously, "Sister's sword-flying skills are really amazing. I always feel nervous when I fly on a sword, and I easily fall if I'm not careful."

An Zhengzheng smiled without saying a word. In this world of cultivation, most female cultivators, like An Yirou, were not willing to spare any attention.

While there's nothing wrong with it, as it's ultimately a personal choice, An Zhengzheng is someone who refuses to admit defeat. Since she has the opportunity to cultivate skills, she's determined to learn them all.

They soon arrived at the An family ancestral hall. An Zhengzheng swiftly sheathed his sword and led An Yirou inside.

The clansmen had not yet arrived. The mother and father were sitting in the hall drinking tea and talking. As soon as they saw their two daughters come in one after the other, they immediately stopped talking.

"I have met my mother and father." An Yirou smiled radiantly, her smile as bright as a flower blooming in spring.

An Zhengzheng smiled slightly and bowed in greeting.

"You silly girl, I buy you clothes every day, but I never see you wear them even once."

Looking at An Zhengzheng's plain clothes and then at An Yirou's charming attire, Lin, the mother, couldn't help but say a few words: "It's not good for a girl to always dress like this."

She's in her prime; a woman's youth is fleeting, so she needs to dress up nicely.

An Zhengzheng smiled and said truthfully, "I know my mother loves me, but I'm used to wearing those two outfits, and besides, they're more convenient for practicing martial arts."

Father Anmao frowned: "It's fine on ordinary days, but today you're meeting the clansmen, and you're dressed like this, it's as if the family has mistreated you. Go and change your clothes."

An Zhengzheng thought it made sense, so she immediately bowed and went to her room.

Madam Lin scolded, "Why are you so cold to Zhengzheng? She is steady and has her own ideas. You, as her father, don't dote on her much."

Actually, that's not entirely true. An Mao also loves his daughter, but An Zhengzheng is too opinionated and different from ordinary girls.

Take her name, for example. After she learned to read and speak, she insisted on changing her original name, An Zhengzheng, to An Zhengzheng.

The character "筝" (zheng) used to sound so beautiful, but now it's been replaced with "铮" (zheng), which sounds like a strong and resolute man.

“Of course I love her.” An Mao thought for a moment, realizing that his tone had been a bit cold just now. “When she comes back, I’ll speak more gently.”

An Zhengzheng returned quickly.

Those who cultivate immortality can change clothes very quickly; they don't need to do it themselves, they can change their clothes simply by making hand seals and chanting incantations.

The dress was a light blue with a green plum blossom pattern. It looked fresh and elegant on An Zhengzheng, and suited her very well.

The family members who had been together day and night were all amazed for a moment.

"Sister looks really good." An Yirou immediately joined the praise team.

Madam Lin also said, "Zhengzheng is so beautiful, it's hard to tell whether the clothes enhance her or she enhances the clothes."

Even the usually silent An Mao couldn't help but say, "You can wear more clothes in the future. If you don't have enough clothes, the manor will provide them."

He worked hard all his life, just so that his children would be happy.

An Zhengzheng said somewhat embarrassedly, "I'm still not used to wearing this."

To be honest, the main problem is that it's inconvenient to practice martial arts. If you make even a slight, big movement, the sword might tear your clothes.

And these cuffs are too big, they're affecting my performance.

"You'll get used to it after wearing it a few times." Madam Lin was very pleased. "It would be best to add some rouge, lipstick, and sachets, and you'll be a real beauty."

An Mao and An Yirou both agreed that what their mother/mother said made perfect sense.

An Zhengzheng was a little scared. It was fine to put on makeup when she was happy to go out and have fun, but doing it all the time would be exhausting.

So he quickly changed the subject and asked, "Mother, Father, are you going to practice the Tao today?"

Families specializing in cultivation must maintain their reputation by sending their children to various sects for training every year.

When An Mao heard An Zhengzheng bring up serious matters, he said, "Yes, the results of the joint test of the major sects will be out soon. The clan is discussing that they will all gather together and send you there directly."

Children from families that cultivate immortality are different from ordinary people who cultivate immortality. They are born with guidance from their parents and relatives, and they begin to cultivate early on by drawing qi into their bodies.

Every three years, the seven major sects of the cultivation world hold a joint test to recruit disciples from cultivation families.

An Zhengzheng and An Yirou also participated back then, and the results are not yet out. If they do well, they will be directly accepted into the sect as inner disciples.

If your grades aren't good, it's generally advised not to pursue immortality, or to start cultivating like a mortal disciple by first drawing in qi into the body.

"By the way, have you decided which cultivation path you want to apply for?" Madam Lin asked with some concern, as the results would be released soon and they would be reporting for duty immediately.

An Yirou said happily, "My daughter likes drawing talismans, so she's decided to become a talisman cultivator!"

Upon hearing this, Anmao and Lin were both very pleased.

"If you cultivate your skills well, you can sell talisman paper. After you get married, you can also help support your family." Madam Lin nodded.

An Mao asked An Zhengzheng, "Zhengzheng, what message do you want to report?"

An Zhengzheng remained silent, not daring to speak much, afraid that if she spoke, her two loving parents would go berserk on the spot.

Seeing that An Zhengzheng was silent, An Mao thought that An Zhengzheng had not made up her mind. Just as he was about to say something more, a maid came to report that people from the clan were arriving one after another.

"Hurry up and welcome them all in!" Taking care of the guests was the priority, so Anmao got up to greet the clansmen.

The first to enter was Uncle Anping, who came in first with his wife and children.

"Brother, you've arrived. Please have a seat." Anmao and Linshi began to greet the relatives who had entered the house.

"Oh, is this Zhengzheng? She's so beautiful." As soon as her aunt entered the room and saw An Zhengzheng, her eyes lit up. This niece rarely wore clothes that suited her so well.

An Zhengzheng bowed politely and said, "Greetings, Aunt."

"Beautiful, truly beautiful. I wonder what path Zhengzheng plans to cultivate?" It was the second aunt who came in who spoke.

Hearing this, Anmao and Lin were beaming with pride: "Look how much my sister-in-law and second sister-in-law are praising this girl. She's completely baffled."

The controversy surrounding An Zhengzheng's Abb-style name (which may be censored due to its homophonic sound):

1. An Zhengzheng's prototype is a descendant of a "red" family. Descendants of "red" families often use "abb" or "a little b" (you can look it up).

2. Abb is not the problem. The problem is whether b is used as Jiaojiao, Rourou, Tiantian, or Dandan, Dongdong (see Chapter 10).
