Chapter 110 The Deadly Prince 30

Ke Qing trotted to the backyard and found Lu Cao busy at work. She whispered something in Lu Cao's ear, then pulled out a heavy bag of silver and handed it to Lu Cao. Lu Cao's face lit up with gratitude, and she nodded repeatedly. The two of them didn't linger for long before parting ways and leaving.

When Ke Qing returned to Jiang Meiyu, she nodded slightly to Jiang Meiyu. Jiang Meiyu immediately understood the meaning, and the worries in her heart dissipated. So, she accompanied her mother to enjoy a sumptuous lunch. At the dinner table, Jiang Meiyu told her mother that Prince Gong would come to pick her up to go out for a walk later. After hearing the news, Mrs. Jiang felt much more at ease. She felt that the prince was willing to take her daughter out for a walk, which showed that he was quite good to her. Therefore, Mrs. Jiang nodded with relief, but still did not forget to remind her: "There is a concubine in the prince's mansion, you must be more careful in everything!"

Jiang Meiyu hugged Mrs. Jiang tightly. Both mother and daughter knew that they might have to wait for a long time before they could meet again.

Not long after, the butler arrived to announce that Prince Gong was waiting at the door. Jiang Meiyu and Madam Jiang walked together towards the main gate of the Jiang residence. Along the way, the mother and daughter chattered endlessly, seemingly never ending. Jiang Meiyu approached Prince Gong and said goodbye to her mother.

Then, the two boarded the carriage and left the Jiang residence. Jiang's mother watched the carriage's departure until it completely disappeared, then turned back into the residence. However, she didn't know that in a hidden corner, a woman with a distorted face and a ferocious expression was standing quietly, witnessing everything that had just happened, her heart filled with resentment.

Prince Gong and Jiang Meiyu arrived at a teahouse, where the waiter enthusiastically led them to a private table on the second floor. After they sat down, the waiter quickly brewed tea and brought a plate of exquisite dim sum.

As they savored delicious dim sum and listened to the storyteller's captivating tales, a graceful and handsome young man entered the teahouse. He was dressed in a gorgeous purple robe, a silver belt around his waist, and a fine jade pendant. Gently waving a folding fan in his hand, he stood out. His captivating peach blossom eyes were particularly striking, leaving no one behind.

"Yu'er, this is Yi San whom I mentioned before. He is also my good friend and brother," Prince Gong introduced to Jiang Meiyu with a smile.

However, Yi San seemed frozen in place, unable to move a single step. When he saw Jiang Meiyu's stunningly beautiful face, his mouth, which had been about to greet her, opened wide, forming an O shape, and he fell into a trance.

Seeing this, Jiang Meiyu smiled slightly and took the initiative to say, "Hello, Yi San." Her voice was as sweet as a yellow oriole singing in a valley, which brought Yi San back to his senses.

"Hello, Princess." Yi San quickly looked at his clothes to confirm whether they were neat, and then patted his clothes, trying to cover up the embarrassment just now.

Prince Gong looked at Yi San with a faint smile on his face, seemingly unsurprised by his reaction. After all, his Yu'er was indeed beautiful, and even if some people marveled at her, he took it for granted. As long as they didn't covet her and simply admired her, he would be proud of it.

"San, please sit down quickly. From now on, call Yu'er sister-in-law in private, and don't seem so unfamiliar." Prince Gong said with a smile.

"Yes, I will listen to your Highness!" Yi San secretly admired Jiang Meiyu's beauty, and couldn't help but sigh in his heart that there was such a beautiful woman in the world. This was the first time he saw her!

Prince Gong gave Jiang Meiyu a detailed account of Yi San's situation, sparking her great interest. She had always wanted to make money, and now she had finally found an opportunity. Turning to Yi San, she smiled and said, "Third brother, I'm counting on you to make a fortune!"

Yi San couldn't help laughing: "Could it be that the palace is still short of silver?"

"I'm not short of money, but I want to earn more." As she spoke, she covered her mouth and whispered in Yi San's ear, "To make some pocket money."

Yi San looked at the woman before him, and a ripple of emotion welled up in his heart. He gazed at Jiang Meiyu's delicate, oval face, her fair skin tinged with an alluring blush. Her lips curled slightly, and her eyes gleamed with a cunning glint, like a bright star. When she quietly leaned close to his ear and whispered the words "earn some private money," it was like a gentle breeze, gently plucked at his heartstrings.

Yi San's eyes were drawn to her, unable to move away. Jiang Meiyu was no longer the demure and graceful lady, but now exuded a uniquely free and lively spirit. This unique charm moved him, and a subtle ripple of emotion welled up within him. However, he immediately realized his mistake and quickly brought his thoughts back to reality.

He told himself that the woman before him wasn't just his sister-in-law, but someone he needed to respect and protect. Though his heartbeat was fleeting, he knew the boundaries. He understood that their relationship was special and that any transgression wouldn't be tolerated. While he couldn't have her, being able to stay by her side, ensuring her safety and happiness, was enough for him. With this thought, he gradually calmed down and resumed his conversation with Jiang Meiyu about how to open a shop and make money.

The three of them not only listened to storytelling and drank tea, but also had a feast at a famous restaurant in the capital, which made Jiang Meiyu very happy. When Prince Gong saw that his Yu'er was so happy, he thought that he should take her out for walks more often in the future.
