Chapter 74 The Fierce Prince 34

At this moment, Xiaohuang Tower was bustling with singing and dancing. In the first-floor lobby, six charming women, dressed in gorgeous attire, revealing their slender waists, twisted their graceful figures in a captivating dance. The men below were discussing business, toasting, enjoying the dance, or secretly engaging in some unspeakable act...

At this moment, Tang Chaoyan had just emerged from his room on the second floor, a satisfied smile on his face, as if he had spent a pleasant night there. Humming a cheerful tune, he happily prepared to leave Xiaohuang Tower and return home. However, as he stepped out of the building, he was surprised to find that his servant and carriage were nowhere to be seen.

"Where has this damned slave gone? Why didn't he come to pick me up!" Tang Chaoyan cursed unhappily. Desperate, he decided to walk home. After crossing a street, he turned into a narrow alley. He suddenly felt the urge to urinate and needed to find a place to relieve himself. As he stood there, urinating freely, a figure suddenly rushed out, swiftly slashed his neck, and then dragged him to a carriage.

Not long after, the carriage drove out of the small road and sped towards the outskirts of the capital.

Tang Chaoyan woke up in a daze and found that his hands and feet were tied tightly with ropes, unable to move. He looked up in horror and saw a man in black clothes with a cold face standing in front of him, staring at him viciously.

"Hey, who are you? How dare you kidnap me? You are so bold!" Tang Chaoyan shouted loudly with anger and majesty on his face.

The man in black raised his lips slightly and sneered. "Young Master? Oh, then you must be worth a lot of money."

When Tang Chaoyan heard this, a glimmer of hope suddenly rose in his heart. He immediately straightened his chest and said proudly: "Of course, do you know who my father is? He is the Duke of Tang! If you let me go now, I can ask my father to give you a large sum of money as a reward. Otherwise, you will bear the consequences yourself!"

"So you are the son of Duke Tang!" A cunning light flashed in the eyes of the man in black, "Then I have to take a good look at which part of your body is the most valuable. Well, is it your thumb or your ten fingers?" As he said, he took out a sharp knife from his bosom and waved it in front of Tang Chaoyan.

"You, you...what do you want to do?" Tang Chaoyan's face turned pale and his voice trembled. "If you dare to hurt me, my father will never let you go!"

"Really? Then I'd like to see how he won't let me go." The man in black sneered, raised the knife in his hand, and made a gesture to chop off Tang Chaoyan's fingers. "Come on, which finger should you cut off first? How about cutting off all ten fingers first?"

"No, please... Big Brother, don't cut me. I'll give you whatever you want." Tang Chaoyan's eyes widened in horror, his face as pale as paper, his whole body trembling like a sieve, and he was so scared that he almost wet his pants. He begged desperately, his voice filled with fear and despair.

"You're such a coward, and you still want to be the prince? I think you're better off being a dog." The man in black smiled contemptuously, looking at the coward in front of him with disdain. The knife in his hand gently tapped Tang Chaoyan's face, as if mocking his cowardice and incompetence.

Tang Chaoyan was shocked when he heard the man in black mention that he wanted to be the crown prince. He widened his eyes and asked in confusion, "Who are you? Are you sent by my eldest brother to kill me?"

The man in black sneered, a cold glint in his eyes. "What do you care who I am?" He suddenly pressed the tip of his knife against Tang Chaoyan's neck. The sharp blade flashed with a cold light, making people shudder. "Tell me, did you collude with Jiang Shanshan to poison the Crown Princess?"

A layer of fine beads of sweat instantly appeared on Tang Chaoyan's forehead. He swallowed nervously and stammered, "No, how is it possible? I don't know any Jiang Shanshan at all." He tried to lie, hoping to get away with it, but his panicked expression and trembling tone betrayed his inner fear.

But the man in black suddenly laughed and took away the knife, quickly pointed it at his crotch and said, "Believe it or not, I will clean your lower body and let you experience what it feels like to be a eunuch." As he spoke, the knife moved an inch inward.

Tang Chaoyan's face was pale, cold sweat broke out on his forehead, his body was shaking, and he stammered, "No...no, hero, spare me, I'll tell you...I'll tell you."

The man in black smiled coldly, and the knife in his hand moved forward a little more, threatening: "Hurry up and tell me, or I will make you a real eunuch immediately!"

Tang Chaoyan was so scared that he almost peed himself, and quickly said, "It was that bitch Jiang Shanshan who was jealous of her sister, the Crown Princess, so she poisoned her to death."

"Why don't you tell the truth?" The man in black frowned and angrily moved the knife forward a little.

"Ah... I said..." Tang Chaoyan let out a painful howl, and the crotch of his pants was instantly stained red with blood.

"It was the Third Prince who asked me to approach Jiang Shanshan and trick her into poisoning Jiang Meiyu. It was all his idea. I was just a scapegoat." Tang Chaoyan burst into tears, his voice weak and hoarse. "Good, be good, or I'll cut you off," the man in black said viciously, his voice filled with threats and cruelty. As he spoke, he wiped the blood-stained knife on Tang Chaoyan's clothes, trying to remove the blood from the blade.

Tang Chaoyan's body was trembling slightly, his face as pale as paper, but he remained silent, not daring to make a sound. He was filled with fear, not knowing what the man in black was going to do to him.

After wiping the knife, the man in black seemed not to be satisfied yet, so he suddenly raised his hand again and chopped Tang Chaoyan's neck with force. Tang Chaoyan felt a sharp pain, his eyes went black, and he lost consciousness and passed out.

The man in black looked at Tang Chaoyan's unconscious form with a hint of a cold smile on his face. He walked out of the room, closed the door, and disappeared into the darkness. The whole room was filled with a bloody and terrifying atmosphere, which made people shudder.

About two incense sticks later, Zhao Yang returned. Seeing the Crown Prince, he clasped his fists and bowed, saying, "Your Highness, I have placed the Tang Dynasty inkstone in a courtyard outside the capital. It's a secluded place, and no one usually passes by. He has already explained that the murder of the Crown Princess was a conspiracy of the Third Prince."

"Okay, lock him up there first, and deal with him after tonight and everything is settled." The prince's eyes were dark, and he looked deeply at Jiang Meiyu lying on the bed.

"Yes, I'll take my leave." Zhaoyang turned and walked out.
