Chapter 1024, Communication

Chapter 1024, Communication

Xiao Yeyang has been very busy recently, and when he returned home, it was already dark.

"Where's the princess?"

After entering the house, Xiao Yeyang found that Daohua was not there.

Lixia quickly stepped forward and told him what happened today: "The young prince is now staying at Laiyi Hall, and the princess just went there with a food box."

When Xiao Yeyang learned that his eldest son dared to go swimming in the moat without permission, he was shocked and strode out of the house.

When Xiao Yeyang arrived at the funeral home, he saw Gu Jian standing outside the door of the wing room, stretching his neck and pressing his face against the door, as if he was eavesdropping.

Xiao Morong was standing nearby. When he saw Xiao Yeyang, he quickly stepped forward and saluted.

Xiao Yeyang nodded and walked in front of Gu Jian.

Gu Jian made a 'hush' sound, signaling Xiao Yeyang to be quiet, and then lowered his voice and said, "Daozi is having a quarrel with his mother."

Xiao Yeyang frowned: "He went swimming in the river without permission, and you still dare to make trouble?" As he said that, he was about to go into the house.

Gu Jian stopped the man and said unhappily, "What are you doing in there? Don't add fuel to the fire!" He glared at Xiao Yeyang and continued to eavesdrop on the movements in the room.

Xiao Yeyang had no choice but to accompany and eavesdrop.

In the room, Daozi was lying on the bed with his back to Daohua who was standing beside the bed.

Looking at her son lying on the bed, Daohua felt a headache and felt helpless: "You went swimming without permission today. Tell me yourself, was it wrong?"

Daozi snorted and said nothing.

Daohua sighed: "Yes, Mom was a little angry today, but Mom was like this because she was worried about your safety."

Daozi's sullen expression relaxed a little, and he sat up with a hum, pouting at Daohua: "Mom, are you just a little bit angry today? You yelled at me in front of so many people, and I don't care about my dignity, do you?"

Daohua covered her head with a headache: "You give yourself face. If you don't make mistakes, will your mother scold you? The reason you lost face is entirely because of your own fault."

Daozi realized that he couldn't argue with her, so he lay back on the bed with his back to the rice flowers.

Seeing this, Daohua felt a little tired. She found that her lively and lovely eldest son was rapidly becoming a naughty child.

Daohua sat down beside the bed and said patiently, "The moat is so deep and wide, and you're still so young. If something happens, do you know how worried Mother will be?"

Daozi curled her lips and muttered, "You already have brothers and sisters anyway, so you won't be sad without me."

Daohua was shocked by these words, and even Gu Jian and Xiao Yeyang, who were eavesdropping outside the door, were stunned.

Daohua realized that her son was in a bad mood, so she forcibly pulled him up and made him look at her face to face: "Daozi, how could you have such thoughts just now?"

Daozi's eyes turned red: "Isn't it true that ever since I had a brother and sister, you all don't like me anymore."

Daohua was stunned for a moment before she spoke: "How could mother not like you?"

Daozi reached out and wiped away her tears: "You just don't like me anymore. I feel it myself, and everyone says so too. I don't like you anymore either. Let's live our own lives from now on."

After saying that, he shook off Daohua's hand and lay back down again. This time, he lifted the quilt to cover himself.

Daohua was extremely shocked and surprised by her son's words. Looking at her son who covered himself with the bed and refused to communicate with her, she finally realized the seriousness of the problem.

Thinking of Daozi's disappointed look on his fifth birthday because he didn't make him a birthday cake, Daohua felt guilty. He pulled the quilt but it didn't budge. He could only say softly:

"On your birthday, I wasn't able to make you a birthday cake. It was my fault. I apologize to you, but you can't say I don't like you just because of this."

"How could I not like you? You are my favorite little rice!"

Under the quilt, listening to Daohua's words, Daozi wiped her tears again, but still did not lift the quilt.

Daohua sat on the edge of the bed, feeling very uncomfortable when she saw her son, who used to like to be close to her and stick to her, now ignored her.

She also began to reflect on herself.

During her confinement period, she had to take care of two children and recuperate, so she did neglect the rice.

After the confinement period, she noticed that Daozi was in a bad mood because her mother-in-law and Uncle Chu left. She just thought that he was reluctant to leave them and never thought that there was a problem on her side.

The two little ones had just been born, so the family paid more attention to them. This might have caused Daozi to feel disappointed, but she and Xiao Yeyang didn't notice the changes in their son's heart.

Looking at the twitching quilt, Daohua patted it gently, just like when Daozi was a child, coaxing him to sleep: "Daozi, Daddy, Mommy, and even our ancestors all like you. You are our favorite child."

"Brother and sister are too young to take care of themselves, so we spend more time with them. It doesn't mean that we don't like you."

"Mom apologizes for neglecting you during this period. Daozi, can you give me a chance to reform?" As she said this, she pulled the quilt.

This time the quilt was pulled open.

Looking at her son lying on the bed with tears on his face, Daohua felt a pang of pain in her heart. She gently pulled the little guy up and held him in her arms: "Mom was wrong. Can you forgive me, Daozi?"

Daozi buried her head in the crook of Daohua's neck, wiping her tears as she said in a muffled voice, "If you do this again next time, I won't forgive you."

Hearing this, Daohua felt relieved. Her Daozi was still generous and said with a smile, "No, Dad and Mom love Daozi very much. Daozi, please don't misunderstand us in the future."

Rice leaned on Rice Flower's shoulder and nodded.

Daohua continued, "Although I am an adult, adults also make mistakes. If you find that I have done something wrong, you must remind me in time."

"For example, after your younger siblings were born, if you felt like Mom was ignoring you and you were unhappy, you could have told Mom. That way, Mom would know what you were thinking. If you didn't tell Mom and kept it to yourself, how would Mom know?"

Daozi muttered, "I'm just embarrassed."

Daohua laughed: "I am your mother, and you are my son. What is there to be embarrassed about? You used to share everything with me. Have you forgotten?"

Daozi looked up at Daohua and said, "If I tell you I'm unhappy, what if you think I don't care about my brothers and sisters and you dislike me even more?"

Daohua: "Why would Mom and Dad dislike you anymore just because of your younger siblings? Do you really not trust Mom and Dad?"

Daozi pouted: "That's what everyone says."

Hearing this, Daohua's eyes suddenly darkened: "A lot of people told you that your parents don't like you anymore now that they have brothers and sisters?"

Daozi nodded: "Xiao Mobao and the others all said so."

Daohua hugged Daozi again: "No, Mom and Dad will never do this. Daozi, as you grow up, you will come into contact with more and more people. In the future, you must learn to distinguish the truth from falsehood in other people's words."
