Chapter 33 Originally, all we needed to do was deal with these few robbers...

Originally, we only needed to deal with these few robbers, but now we also need to figure out how to find those bombs.

Moreover, Gu Sheng looked at the bomb in the box below.

It's best not to reveal yourself for now. If you accidentally push these robbers too far, it will definitely cause unnecessary trouble.

Gu Sheng glanced at the small pit dug into the wall. Judging by its size, even if there was a bomb, it would take them a lot of effort to get into the bank vault. He decided to find the two robbers who planted the bomb first, and deal with the external troubles before dealing with the internal ones.

Gu Sheng continued crawling forward until he reached a storage room, from which he jumped down.

Although the ventilation ducts were well hidden, Gu Sheng couldn't move around freely inside; the flow was too slow.

After confirming that no one was outside, Gu Sheng walked out of the storage room.

Next to the storage room was the performance hall where the robbers were.

Gu Sheng looked down at the floor and quickly found a fresh footprint. Judging from the direction, it didn't go towards the toilet, so it shouldn't have been left by the two people Gu Sheng had taken care of outside the toilet.

Since it wasn't those two people, it's highly likely they were the ones who planted the bomb.

Gu Sheng followed the footprints and soon saw a figure squatting on the ground in front of a pillar.

Gu Sheng looked up at the pillar. It should be the theater's load-bearing pillar. If it were blown up, half of the theater would collapse.

Gu Sheng looked at the busy application, gripped the gun in his hand, stood still for a moment, and ultimately did not choose to fire.

The gun has no silencer; firing it here will definitely attract the attention of other robbers.

Gu Sheng wasn't afraid of being discovered, but he was afraid that the robbers would react violently and detonate the bomb in a desperate attempt to destroy everything.

Gu Sheng bent down and slowly approached the figure crouching in front of the pillar.

However, he had only taken two steps when he suddenly heard someone behind him say, "Who goes there?"

Gu Sheng turned his head and saw a fully armed man standing at the corner, pointing a gun at him.

Gu Sheng recognized him as one of the kidnappers who had been guarding the hostages.

This robber's equipment was different from the others; it looked much more professional. Although he was well-equipped, he moved very quietly, and Gu Sheng didn't even hear him.

Gu Sheng frowned, realizing something was wrong, and turned to look in the other direction.

The man's voice attracted the attention of the person crouching in front of the pillar, who immediately drew his gun and turned around.

After Gu Sheng turned his head and confirmed that Gu Sheng was not one of their men, the man who was speaking was about to pull the trigger.

The person crouching in front of the pillar briefly adjusted the position of the gun, then pointed it at Gu Sheng, about to fire.

Gu Sheng only had one gun in his hand at the moment; the other gun was behind his waist, and it was too late to reach for it now.

Gu Sheng made a quick judgment: if he raised his gun now, he could fire before the person crouching in front of the pillar could fire. As for the man standing at the corner, Gu Sheng could retreat to avoid his shot, but he would be unable to retaliate.

However, the man standing at the corner will definitely hide after missing his shot, and will most likely call for help from the other robbers. In that case, there's no guarantee that the robbers who have bombs and hostages won't do anything.

Gu Sheng absolutely cannot allow anything to endanger the hostages.

Fortunately, the man standing at the corner was very close to Gu Sheng.

Gu Sheng immediately changed his strategy. He took a deep breath, raised his gun with his right hand, and fired, hitting the man crouching in front of the pillar between the eyebrows before he could fire. The man fell to the ground.

Gunshots echoed down the corridor, extremely jarring.

However, Gu Sheng didn't have time to worry about that. On the other side, the man standing at the corner also fired a shot, and Gu Sheng took the bullet thanks to his bulletproof vest.

Then, while the man was concentrating on shooting, he snapped his fingers in front of the man's face.

All of this happened in just a few seconds.

The man's gaze momentarily lost focus, then his eyes unconsciously followed Gu Sheng's hand.

Gu Sheng gasped for breath, clutching the spot where he had been hit. Even with a bulletproof vest, being shot at such close range was still not something easily accepted.

Gu Sheng beckoned to the man with his finger, and the man, looking dazed, put down his gun and walked towards Gu Sheng.

As the man approached Gu Sheng, his eyes suddenly cleared. He paused, looking bewildered, as if he didn't know why he had suddenly lowered his gun. Then, he looked at Gu Sheng warily, about to raise his gun again.

Gu Sheng naturally wouldn't give him a second chance to fire. He reached out and placed his hand between the man's eyebrows, saying, "Put it down." The man's eyes became unfocused again, and he obediently put down the gun.

Just as Gu Sheng was about to ask something, he heard footsteps and voices coming from afar: "Hey, who's over there?"

Judging from the footsteps, there were two people.

The man in front of me seemed unwilling to fall under hypnosis; his consciousness was constantly struggling, as if he might wake up at any moment.

Gu Sheng admired the man's willpower, but it was impossible to wake up from his hypnosis.

Gu Sheng looked at the fallen corpses in the distance and said to the people in front of him, "Let them leave."

The man in front of him frowned but did not move.

His subconscious was resisting.

Gu Sheng put it another way: "You can handle things here yourself, you don't need their help, and don't let them get near here."

The man's eyes cleared up after a moment of confusion, but this was only a facade.

He turned and walked towards the other side of the corridor, as if he couldn't see Gu Sheng in front of him.

The man looked annoyed as he approached the two figures.

He said, "What are you doing here?"

One of the two men opposite said, "The boss said there were gunshots, so let's come and take a look."

Gu Sheng listened as the two people approached while talking, showing no sign of stopping.

If the two of them walk over, they will immediately see Gu Sheng and the corpse on the ground, which will not do.

Gu Sheng quickly walked to the corpse, took off his blood-soaked clothes, and put them on himself.

He kicked the corpse on the ground behind a pillar a few times, then lay down where the man had fallen and held his breath.

The man glanced at Gu Sheng and said, "It's nothing, just caught a mouse, it's taken care of."

The other of the two men said, "What rat? How did it get in?" As he spoke, he continued walking forward.

The two men walked up to the man and stood beside him, craning their necks to look in their direction. Upon seeing Gu Sheng lying on the ground, they said, "People from the Public Security Bureau?"

The man looked at the two coldly and said, "No, they are spectators who sneaked out."

One of the two men was about to walk towards Gu Sheng when the man stopped him: "This is none of your business. Go back and dig your tunnels."

The man who wanted to move forward chuckled and said, "Isn't it because the boss is worried? He sent us out to check things out."

The man said coldly, "You've seen it all. You can go back and report now. Tell the boss that I can handle this. No help is needed. Just open the vault as soon as possible."

The other person who was blocked muttered, "So what if he was a comrade-in-arms with the boss? What's with the attitude?"

It seems these two are very dissatisfied with men, and this statement was clearly meant for men to hear.

The man didn't speak, but his gaze towards the two men grew even colder. The two men felt uneasy under his stare. The one who had been about to step forward took a step back and tried to smooth things over, saying, "Haha, you're right. We'll go report to the boss now. We'll leave the outside matters to you; there won't be any problems. We just need to focus on digging the tunnel."

The man didn't speak, but continued to stare coldly at the two of them.

The two left without saying another word, turning back every few steps.

After the two men left, the man remained standing there motionless, waiting for Gu Sheng's next instructions.

Gu Sheng stood up, took off his blood-stained clothes, and threw them to the other side of the pillar.

He walked past the man to the corner of the corridor and looked at the empty corridor on the other side.

Gu Sheng looked at the man and said, "Do you remember me?"

The man looked at Gu Sheng with a puzzled expression.

Gu Sheng then said, "Don't you recognize me? I'm the person you know best."

The man was lost in memories.

Gu Sheng continued, "Look at me, think about it carefully, I am the most important person to you."

The man looked conflicted, as if he had realized something but was unwilling to admit it.

He looked at Gu Sheng and said, "You, you are..."

Gu Sheng said encouragingly, "Yes, it's me, the person you know best and who is most important to you."

The man seemed to snap out of his daze: "No, you are..."

However, his sobriety was just an illusion; Gu Sheng made him believe that he was sober in order to convince him of his own judgment.

Gu Sheng asked softly, "Who am I?"

After struggling for a while, the man suddenly grabbed Gu Sheng's wrist and said, "It's you?"

Gu Sheng said, "Yes, it's me."

The man said anxiously, "What are you doing here? It's dangerous here."

Gu Sheng smiled slightly. "That's fine."

Gu Sheng looked terrified and said to the man, "Someone wants to kill me."

The man frowned and said, "Who? Who dares to touch you? Don't be afraid, I will protect you."

Gu Sheng grabbed the man's hand and pointed in the direction the two men had left, saying, "Over there, there's a group of people with guns over there. They're going to kill me."

The man looked in the direction Gu Sheng was pointing, his face darkening: "Over there?"

Gu Sheng nodded: "Yes, they want to kill me, you will protect me, right?"

The man looked at Gu Sheng, his expression softening, and said, "Of course I will protect you. Don't be afraid. I will kill everyone who tries to hurt you."

Gu Sheng said, "Yes, none of those people with guns can be let go. There are a few particularly dangerous ones among them. You need to take care of the most dangerous ones first, and then deal with the others."

The man unconsciously repeated Gu Sheng's words: "Yes, I will deal with the most dangerous people first, and then deal with the others. I will kill everyone with a gun."

Gu Sheng patted the man on the back and said, "That's right, go ahead."

Before leaving, the man said to Gu Sheng with great concern, "Stay here and don't wander off. I'll be back soon."

Gu Sheng didn't speak.

The man gripped the gun tightly and turned to walk towards the performance hall.

Gu Sheng watched the man leave, then glanced behind him.

There are two robbers who planted the bomb. One is on this side, so the other must be on the opposite side.

So Gu Sheng stood there for a moment, then turned and walked in the direction the man had left.
