Chapter 45 Un Entertainment Until that heavy door pierced through time…
When the three people walked out of the corridor, the security guard who was standing at the entrance was gone.
With fewer restrictions on the activities of artists on Un Entertainment, many of the surviving players started wandering around the lobby, making Jiang Yang and his group seem less eye-catching.
On the third day, the classes were held on floors 7-12, but no one knew which floor the specific performance class corresponded to.
After discussing it, the group decided to take the elevator to the seventh floor first, and then search up floor by floor.
But they were wrong. On the 12th floor, Jiang Yang was with Ji Yang in the elevator, his finger on the elevator's open/close button.
Five minutes later, Huang Er returned, shook his head at people as before, and muttered to himself while smoking a cigarette: "Does this mean that if I don't go to class, I can never go back to the way things were?"
If it were just that they couldn't go back, that would be one thing, but the fact is that every floor they went out of was almost identical in appearance, except for the courses marked on them.
“I feel there’s a sense of unreality here,” Ji Yang said thoughtfully.
"What do you mean?" Huang Er took the cigarette away from his mouth, clearly not understanding.
The young man suddenly realized something, and ran out of the elevator, saying, "You guys stay here, I'll go check it out."
I ran around the lobby, but there was no one there, no trace of anyone.
Jiang Yang rushed to the only enclosed office in the corner of the twelfth floor, where a sign indicated the representative course for that floor.
At first, they tried to open the door, but no matter how they tried to dismantle it or use props, they could not open it from the outside.
But Jiang Yang remembered that it was a door like this that he and Ji Yang had opened once.
Just as they passed through the hidden passageway of the infirmary, the doorplates belonging to dormitory 205 were gradually replaced by doorplates belonging to "courses" as they opened the door.
Jiang Yang remembered another burrow that seemed to have been dug by a rabbit.
They turned back to the elevator, raised their hand and pressed the button for the third floor; they now needed to return to the infirmary.
The problem is... without a rat mask, how are we supposed to get into the hole?
He looked at Huang Er coldly, "Where's your mask?"
Huang Er felt guilty, "It's...broken?"
The protection agreement shattered shortly after Huang Er followed Jiang Yang to find it.
"However, I know who has it."
Huang Er changed the subject abruptly, pressing the elevator button to go to the first floor.
Before long, Huang Er led Jiang Yang and Ji Yang to stand in front of room 1009.
After knocking, Meng Jiang came out of the house.
Meng Jiang glanced at the three people and silently took out the rat mask from the panel.
He handed it to Jiang Yang, saying, "It should be usable once more. What will you offer in exchange?"
"Intelligence sharing," Ji Yang took the document from Meng Jiang's hand, turned around and walked towards the elevator without looking back.
Jiang Yang quickly thanked him and followed Ji Yang at a jog.
Back in the elevator, the air pressure was generally low.
Huang Er nudged Jiang Yang with his elbow, his tone deliberately rising, "Do you want to know what's going on between them?"
“I know,” Jiang Yang rolled his eyes. Nan Ke had already told him.
Ji Yang lowered his eyes to look at Jiang Yang, "How did you know?"
Jiang Yang smiled slyly, "How did you know we were talking about those two people?"
...
The elevator doors opened on the third floor, and Jiang Yang stepped out first, her steps light and quick. But the next second, she was stunned by what she saw.
Blood covered almost the entire floor, with various pieces of clothing floating on the surface. Blood clots and chunks of flesh were mixed together. By the time Jiang Yang realized what it was, he had already run to the wall and started retching.
Looking up again, the young man's eyes were red as he stared at Ji Yang beside him. "They succeeded, didn't they?"
The rabbits may have succeeded, but they must have paid a much higher price.
"Don't be afraid, this might be a good thing for them."
Carefully avoiding the blood as he walked along the wall, Jiang Yang noticed that even the walls were covered with fingernail scratches, making it impossible to ignore what kind of struggle had taken place here.
I walked quickly to the infirmary, put on the rat mask, and looked at the hole in the counter with a sense of apprehension.
Jiang Yang frowned slightly and murmured, "Gone?" The doctor's body, which had been lying by the cave entrance, had disappeared.
"Go in first," Ji Yang said.
"Okay," he said, naturally pulling back towards Ji Yang.
When Ji Yang looked at Huang Er, Huang Er had no choice but to resign himself to taking the prop string and tying it between the two of them.
The three of them walked slowly to the space before the fork in the road, when Jiang Yang suddenly exclaimed in surprise.
Ji Yang walked forward and saw a corpse wearing a doctor's white coat lying on the stone table. The face was unrecognizable, and it could only be vaguely identified as the one from the original infirmary.
"I'll go first this time," Ji Yang said cautiously. Jiang Yang nodded, took the rat-shaped noodles, and handed them to him.
Unbeknownst to them, not long after they left, the doctor in front of the stone table stood up unsteadily and walked into the very cave the three had chosen.
After Nan Ke and Huang Er separated, the surrounding darkness seemed to be invisible to him.
On the other side were players eager to leave the stage, and no one noticed that in front of Nan Ke, there was a shadow leading the way for him.
The shadow's shape was indistinct, and it didn't speak; its only communication with Nan Ke was the direction of its fingertips.
Nan Ke saw her when he was fighting Meng Jiang, and it seemed that only he could see her.
At first, her face was still visible, but gradually her body faded away.
After following her for a long time, when she was almost invisible, Nan Ke finally couldn't help but call out.
"Tian Yu."
Nan Ke's guess came when he saw Tian Yu on stage.
Why was Tian Yu standing next to a real camera, and why did Tian Yu, sitting in the audience, refuse to attend class?
The truth and the falsehood—everything has been answered at this moment.
Tian Yu turned around, her transparent body stretching through the air.
Nan Ke asked, "What exactly happened on the first day?"
"I have no idea."
"Don't ask anymore."
"It's too late."
Tian Yu said three sentences in a row, then turned around and continued forward.
Without the constraints of his body weight, he walked much faster, and Nan Ke almost ran to catch up.
With the path behind the stage closing, Tian Yu led him to finally avoid the order to end get out of class.
Then Tian Yu turned a corner, and when Nan Ke caught up, he found it was the staircase connecting the stage.
After stepping off the stage, Tian Yu's transparent body missed its target in the audience, and the "Tian Yu" below paused noticeably as they stood up.
Nan Ke quickened her pace, her wrist swaying gently, the faint sound of bells echoing throughout the hall. Countless curses from the soul, wrapped in white threads, pressed her down.
Nan Ke sat down next to her, a slight smile playing on his lips. "Teacher Maple, you might need to work overtime."
Maple's cold, scarlet eyes, belonging to the rabbit, were fixed on Nan Ke. After being recognized, Maple's expression changed several times. Suddenly, she grinned and said, "I warned you not to sit here."
"You can see through the act, can't you?"
Maple looked at the stage and leaned straight back in her chair.
Nan Ke, bewildered, looked over just like everyone else, only to find that the darkness on the stage had been dispelled by the dazzling lights.
The red curtain slowly opened from the middle, and Maple closed her eyes as if enjoying herself, her hands resting on her legs as she gently tapped out a rhythm.
This is a musical.
Most of the players who had taken music lessons were taken away because of the disappearance of their badges.
Nan Ke had never attended this class; his limited knowledge of it came from the musical "Brain" that they were going to film.
As the music started, Maple said, "That's right, this is the one before it."
Compared to the subtlety of other lessons, music is much more direct.
The black and white color scheme is interspersed throughout the stage, piecing together two words.
To run, and to be unable to run away.
Just as Nan Ke had initially thought, they were indeed trapped in this labyrinth called the Stage.
Suddenly, only one actor remained on stage, dressed in a black tuxedo and wearing a mask, surrounded and flanked by the crowd.
Where he stood, a high platform rose up, the crowd reached out to him, the music stopped abruptly, and the stage fell into darkness.
Maple didn't say anything. Just when Nan Ke thought it was over, huge music exploded in the center of the stage, and spotlights flashed on the actors in the center of the platform.
White symbolizes faith, black...
Thus, he became a god.
"Can you take another look at the camera now?" Maple suggested.
Nan Ke's hand holding the camera trembled slightly, as if she had expected it. Even though she tried not to think about it, the images still flashed through her mind frame by frame.
Maple gave a half-smile, "Why don't you look?"
“Shut up!” Nan Ke replied stiffly.
"Aren't you afraid to look? It's clearly your doing, isn't it?"
"You brought him to Un Entertainment, and you're the head secretary, right?"
Nan Ke looked dazed for a moment, confusion creeping onto his face, but he still insisted, "I didn't, I want to save him."
"You are something else. You, Nan Ke, are a complete scoundrel. What are you pretending for?"
The boy did not hesitate; his eyes hardened with determination.
The white line at the fingertips rose high, then fell heavily, piercing the left hand.
Blood fell to the ground, and in his brief moment of clarity, he noticed the overlap between Maple and his idiot assistant.
He stood up from his seat, wiped the blood from his mouth, and a smug, disdainful smile played on his lips. "That's it?"
He lifted the camera and slammed it to the ground.
[Dana, the executive agent, has been detected dead; acting classes are immediately suspended.]
All that Tianyu jade, all that Maple, all that acting classes—it's all fake.
Nan Ke felt a surge of satisfaction. To hell with them all!
The empty hall was empty except for Nan Ke. The boy squatted down, and among the camera fragments was a miniature video recorder.
This is the real A-grade item that Meng Jiang mentioned.
But... what about the footage that was preserved inside...?
The boy couldn't hold back and buried his face between his legs, sobbing and repeatedly saying, "I'm sorry."
Until that heavy door broke through the shackles of time and was pushed open, letting in light, he looked up.
It's Jiang Yang.
The boy threw himself into the young man's arms and cried even louder.
Jiang Yang saw the camera on the ground, her eyes darkened, and she gently patted Nan Ke's back, "Don't be afraid, it's all fake."
"You know I have amnesia, I've forgotten everything."
-----------------------
The author's note: The setting for Nan Ke is as follows...
It's that kind of situation where he did a lot of wrong things, until he thought he could make amends and decided to be a good person.
It felt like he was suddenly exposed as a complete scoundrel.
Jiang Yang realized this, which is why he insisted on going to find him; he would always believe in his little star.
This happened in another timeline—that's important!
They are not a couple! Jiang Yang's official pairing is Ji Yang! A couple can be reversed but not broken up!
The official pairing in Nan Ke is Xie Lu!
Jiang Yang and Nan Ke are good friends. It was probably under Jiang Yang's guidance that Nan Ke grew up.
No update tomorrow, I'm going to see a movie tomorrow, hehe~
