Chapter 98 Bright Sanatorium He raised his head; he had completely lost control…

The caregivers dragged the sick player into the elevator, and after the elevator stopped on the second floor, they dragged him along the corridor.

"Let me go! Let me go!" As if realizing what he was about to face, the player gradually regained consciousness and began to struggle desperately in the caregiver's hands. With extreme fear and resistance, he shouted hoarsely, his voice echoing in the long corridor, but no one paid attention, and no one responded.

One room... two rooms... three rooms...

Jiang Yang counted silently, her gaze carefully landing on the transparent glass window of the treatment room on one side of the corridor. The inside of the window was blocked by a blue curtain, preventing anyone from seeing further in, and the unusual quiet made it impossible to tell whether there was anyone inside.

The caregivers stopped at the seventh room.

"Please, let me go! I won't go in! I won't go in!" The player's voice was completely hoarse and tearful, but the caregivers were unmoved and held the player tightly in their hands.

One of the caregivers stepped forward, took out a bunch of keys from his waist, and precisely selected the key corresponding to treatment room number seven from the jingling keys. He then inserted the key into the lock. Jiang Yang felt a strange tension in his heart. As the group entered together, he pretended to casually move forward.

The door creaked open slowly, and a suffocating, deathly atmosphere rushed out, sending a chill down Jiang Yang's spine.

Stepping into the treatment room, the heavy blue curtains blocked the sunlight from outside, and their swaying motion brought a chill. The only source of light was the dim, yellow lamp overhead, which flickered as if it might go out at any moment.

The player was strapped to a specially made chair. Then, the caregiver took out restraints and tightly bound his limbs to the chair. As he struggled, the restraints dug deep into his skin, leaving bloody marks that tore his flesh.

A caregiver pressed a button on a nearby instrument, and a huge metal helmet slowly appeared on the ceiling. The indicator lights on the helmet flashed wildly and emitted a chilling buzzing sound.

The helmet covered the player completely, electrodes were inserted into his brain, and the player's body began to tremble violently and uncontrollably. Saliva, snot, tears, and sweat all poured out of the gap under the helmet, and a strong, fishy stench emanated from his lower body. At this moment, he was deprived of his human rights and had no dignity whatsoever.

The old-fashioned television in front of the player lit up, displaying distorted images from his mind amidst noise: the suddenly grotesque and terrifying face of his loved one, the street shrouded in darkness, the player about to be swallowed up...

The scenes kept switching and overlapping, and the player's spirit was easily broken by the wave after wave of impact.

Jiang Yang suddenly felt an urge to step on the power cord connected to the helmet and break it.

But just then, an old-fashioned loudspeaker on the ceiling suddenly blared, followed by a series of jumbled radio waves and a deep, distorted voice: "Welcome to the Brightness Sanatorium..."

He turned his gaze to the player, who had already retracted his helmet, revealing a face underneath that looked exactly like his own.

The broadcast abruptly stopped, the lights began to flicker, and the rapid passage of time made Jiang Yang feel dizzy. When his vision cleared again, Jiang Yang was surprised to find himself back in the time before they entered the treatment room, or more precisely, when they were still in the corridor. In front of him was the scream of the player, who had turned around at some point and was staring intently at the fourth door.

A sign hangs on the door: "Memory Skull Crusade Treatment Room".

Jiang Yang continued forward without showing any emotion. Further ahead were the "Mania Disintegration Treatment Room," the "Desire Strangulation Treatment Room," and so on. It seemed that the fourth treatment room was specifically designed for him.

But why was he able to see the future in advance...?

Just as Jiang Yang had seen, they indeed stopped at the seventh door.

The keychain jingled in the caregiver's hand. Jiang Yang hesitated and took the small knife with the copper handle in his hand. But before he could make a move, a strange force came from his wrist. He heard someone say in his ear, "Don't go. You saved him once, but can you save him for the rest of his life? Don't put yourself in danger."

Unfortunately, Jiang Yang was rebellious and never listened to advice.

That bunch of keys.

Jiang Yang never acts like a merciful saint. He is driven by profit and believes in the supremacy of self-interest. As long as he wants something, no one can interfere with him or stop him.

Whether the other party can find a glimmer of hope in this muddy water he has stirred up is up to them.

He took a deep breath, his eyes fixed on the caregiver's every move. Finally, the caregiver aimed the key at the lock, and the door slowly opened, revealing a small crack. He moved, his figure flashing like a ghost through the crowd, the small knife in his hand gleaming coldly, precisely stabbing the back of the caregiver's hand holding the key.

The key fell and was caught steadily by Jiang Yang. The four caregivers roared and pounced on Jiang Yang. Jiang Yang nimbly dodged to the side, slashed the caregiver's arm with a backhand, and then kicked the caregiver into the room. While the caregivers were on the ground and in a panic, he locked the door and rushed back into the corridor.

New footsteps sounded on the stairs. Jiang Yang had no choice but to slip into the bathroom on the other side of the corridor, gently knocking on the door behind him. He leaned against the door, listening to the chaotic footsteps outside, his heart pounding.

He quickly took off his blood-stained caregiver uniform, took out a new outfit from the panel, and changed. The clinking of his keys attracted attention outside the door. Footsteps and shouts mingled together, "Go check the bathroom!" It was like a heavy hammer blow to him.

He hurriedly put on his clothes, and the bathroom door was being banged on forcefully. He tentatively put the key and caregiver's uniform into the control panel, and thankfully managed to put them in, which relieved him somewhat.

He ran to the window and looked down. Below him was a thicket of bushes. The height of the second floor and the relentless pressure from behind left him with no choice. He gritted his teeth, flipped over, and climbed onto the windowsill. His shoes braced against the wall, his fingers gripped the window frame tightly until his knuckles turned white, his legs dangling in the air. The wind howled in his ears, and he fell heavily to the ground.

The sharp branches tore his clothes, and he gasped in pain. Despite the pain, he staggered back the way he came.

The blood awakened the statues that had been sleeping on both sides of the path. The statues twisted and sprang from the ground. Jiang Yang didn't dare to look back at all, and just kept running forward. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice, "Jiang Yang? What are you doing here?"

His legs buckled, and the young man's eyes instantly reddened. He stumbled and fell into the other person's arms, cowering like a frightened bird. He preemptively cried out and complained, "Weren't you taking care of me? They were trying to take me to the treatment room, where were you!"

Hot tears fell onto Yuejiang's shoulder, and without thinking, she instinctively hugged Jiang Yang tightly. "I'm sorry, something came up... I'm so sorry..."

Jiang Yang sniffled, her watery eyes fixed on Yue Jiang, then her head lolled to the side and she instantly fainted.

[Observation Room of Guangming Sanatorium - Yuejiang's Perspective]

"No... I didn't see that wrong, did I...?"

"Hmm...I saw it too...so Jiang Yang shouldn't be an NPC, right..."

"Holy crap! So! What should I do? I feel a little sorry for Yuejiang!"

In the observation room, just as Yuejiang was comforting Jiang Yang, Jiang Yang, whose face was covered in tears and resting on Yuejiang's shoulder, took a deep breath of the sleeping pills he had taken out. Since he couldn't be mentally stunned for a short time, he decisively chose to use physical means.

Yuejiang picked the person up with some concern and ran towards Building No. 1.

Following behind, 007 wore a mask, obscuring his emotions. He simply swung his chain at one of the statues, shattering it into pieces. Hmm... quite annoyed...

He sent a message to 008 with a blank expression: "Yuejiang is wearing a mask and a caregiver's uniform, holding Jiang Yang in her arms. She has already gone back."

However, when 007 returned, he only saw 008 sneaking around in the lobby.

007: "What are you doing here? Where's Yuejiang?"

008: "Upstairs, shh, keep your voice down. Don't let Yuejiang find out that I've already discovered him. This time, I'm going to avenge myself!"

007: "You'd better be able to."

...

But instead of 008 getting his revenge, in the afternoon, the long sword in 007's mind that belonged to Ji Yang suddenly began to vibrate wildly. He suddenly realized something and hurriedly called 008 upstairs.

In Jiang Yang's room on the second floor, Jiang Yang lay on the bed with his eyes still closed. His arm was exposed, and the cuts had scabbed over, but the sweet smell emanating from his blood lingered in Yue Jiang's nose.

Yuejiang's nostrils trembled slightly as he greedily sniffed, as if some primal and wild instinct had been awakened. "Jiang Yang... what should I do... I want to devour you," he murmured to himself, his voice low and hoarse, filled with desire. His fingers involuntarily reached for Jiang Yang's wound, imagining his fingertips touching the scabbed scar, then tearing it open forcefully, letting the blood gush out again.

Suddenly, Jiang Yang stirred in his sleep. Yue Jiang snapped back to reality, jerking back his hand as if electrocuted. A flicker of panic crossed his eyes. He tried to take a deep breath, attempting to suppress the surging desire within him, but his possessiveness towards Jiang Yang was ever-present, constantly eroding his reason.

Yuejiang clenched his fists, his nails digging deep into his palms, a voice echoing in his mind, "Just one bite, just one bite..." Driven by desire, he bent down and opened his mouth, his lips enveloping Jiang Yang's wound, his tongue darting out to lick it.

"Yuejiang..." Jiang Yang called out to him.

He raised his head; he had completely lost control.
