Chapter 30 Un Entertainment Jiang Yang paused in her act of undressing, Ji Yang…
Led by Roue, the group walked through a dimly lit and oppressive corridor, where a transparent sightseeing elevator at the end seemed somewhat out of place.
Roue went in first, followed by Jiang Yang and Ji Yang. It's easy to imagine how difficult it was for more than a dozen people to squeeze into the same elevator, especially since those following Roue deliberately kept their distance from him.
Jiang Yang tentatively suggested, "How about... we take the next one?"
Roue remained silent, but everyone else's gazes immediately fell upon him.
“If you don’t want to come up, you can go back,” Roue said, still with a harsh tone.
Ji Yang went in first, silently pushing the others in, and Jiang Yang then stood in front of him.
The security guard pressed the button for the second floor of the elevator. Jiang Yang looked up and saw that they were now on the -2 floor.
The elevator slowly ascended, and apart from the noise of the elevator, the only other sound in the elevator car was the heavy breathing of everyone.
Light gradually streamed in from the ground overhead. Jiang Yang looked up and saw the towering Un Entertainment building with countless floors above him.
So, did they escape from prison?
The elevator stopped, and the doors opened from the middle to both sides. Jiang Yang stepped out and stood on one side, waiting for everyone to come down. Her eyes glanced at the second floor and widened involuntarily.
When they came out of room 205 at noon, the dormitory only flashed by for a moment before it became a large, open-plan classroom. But now the second floor is a proper dormitory area.
It seemed as if a chaotic fight had just taken place; the fair and translucent walls were splattered with dark red blood and bits of flesh, and people in security uniforms were slowly carrying corpses out from time to time.
The bodies were piled up in the center of the second-floor hall, a small mountain nearly two meters high containing countless corpses.
Some were wearing security guard uniforms, while others were wearing normal clothes, but without exception, all of them... were headless.
"Ugh~" Hu Jin vomited immediately, and many people's faces also contorted.
"You still have a chance to back out now. But if you wait until the clothes are handed out and then regret it, you'll end up like them."
Roue suddenly said that security guards started distributing security uniforms, but after a moment's hesitation, everyone gritted their teeth and accepted them.
Jiang Yang looked around and saw that even someone like Hu Jin hadn't refused. He suddenly became curious about what prison really meant.
After receiving the clothes, Roue continued, "Change into your clothes. We'll divide you into groups of three, and each group will patrol one floor."
Before Jiang Yang could even ask where to change, someone had already taken off their clothes and started changing right there on the spot.
[Un Entertainment Observation Room - Jiang Yang's Perspective]
"Let me see! Let me see!"
"Ji Yang can't see it, let me see Jiang Yang!"
A large number of observations from the Jiyang observation room climbed over the wall and entered Jiangyang.
The reason is that Ji Yang now has the authority to freely choose whether or not to enable certain images that involve personal "privacy".
Based on his past observations of trials, it's impossible to see it now, so observers on both sides don't mind supporting Jiang Yang's "debut."
but...
In the scene, Ji Yang took clothes but didn't put them on. As if he knew about the hidden cameras placed around the players in the observation room, he spread out the clothes and partially blocked Jiang Yang's way.
Jiang Yang paused in taking off her clothes. Ji Yang closed his eyes and squeezed out the words through clenched teeth, "You put them on first."
The clothes barely covered the young man's private parts, revealing two long, straight legs.
With his knees bent, his slender ankles slid out from the rolled-up trouser legs. The young man quickly put them on, then reached into the shoes he had kicked off earlier, hopped around a couple of times, and then firmly stepped into the shoes.
"Oh well, I'll just watch whatever's available."
"Great legs! Great legs!"
"Good feet, good feet!"
"Shhhh!"
Then, as if sensing something, Ji Yang pulled up the clothes in front of him, completely blocking the young man's action of changing his clothes.
A chorus of wails suddenly drifted through the observation room.
"No! I can't see! I can't see anything!"
"What awful clothes! Aaaaaaah, I'm going crazy!"
"This is all the benefits I get all year round, and they're all covered up so tightly!"
Even so, Jiang Yang's stats still improved significantly, as Ji Yang said during his training session at Mouguang.
Don't let others get you too easily.
Ji Yang changed even faster, and Jiang Yang controlled the direction of his pupils, finally simply looking up at the ceiling.
She pursed her lips repeatedly, a guilty look creeping onto her face. Well... actually, she did see a little bit.
There were nine new security guards in total. Jiang Yang and Ji Yang were assigned to the same floor as Hu Jin as expected. The floor they were assigned to was the fifth floor.
Each group was given a walkie-talkie, and Roue instructed them to report any unusual activity to him.
Jiang Yang asked: What kind of thing would be considered unusual?
Roue gave a cold laugh and replied: You'll find out.
There is a special elevator for security guards to go upstairs. The nine of them entered the elevator together. When the elevator doors closed, someone visibly breathed a sigh of relief. The three groups each pressed the buttons for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors.
After Jiang Yang finished pressing the button, she deliberately stood next to Hu Jin, tilted her head, and greeted him softly, "Hello, I'm Jiang Yang."
"Hello... Hu Jin..." Hu Jin glanced at Jiang Yang, then quickly lowered his head again.
The elevator stopped on the first floor, and slowly only the three of them remained.
"How long have you been with Un Entertainment?" Jiang Yang asked directly, her tone seemingly devoid of any other meaning.
"I...I've forgotten..."
The elevator doors opened, and Hu Jin rushed out.
The fifth floor is still the dormitory area, but unlike the cramped four-person rooms on the second floor, the dormitories on the fifth floor are significantly more spacious.
The lobby now features more entertainment facilities and fitness equipment, and those waiting outside look at the security guards with a mixture of amusement and scrutiny.
"A newcomer?" Hu Jin visibly flinched.
Someone shoved Hu Jin, saying, "Speak up! Didn't you hear your senior asking you a question?"
Of all the new artists signed by Un Entertainment, only Nan Ke fits the term "senior."
His appearance also signifies layers of oppression from power and class.
"Senior, I know him. He used to be a trainee who owed the company a lot of money and was stuck in a two-year debt trap."
Hu Jin looked at the other person who had spoken. Perhaps he knew him, for a look of humiliation appeared on his face, and he said with trembling lips, "Um... I'm the new security guard."
Jiang Yang took a step forward, her gaze sweeping lightly across the center of the hall before finally settling on the man in the middle of the crowd. "Senior, we are all new here and not yet familiar with our job duties. Is there anything you would like to explain?"
"He stays, you all go down. You're not welcome on the fifth floor," the man said, pointing his finger. Hu Jin trembled twice at the point of his finger.
Jiang Yang felt like he'd been seen through, and forced himself to take half a step forward. "Senior, why don't you talk to Roue about this? After all, it's our first day on the job, and if we get fired like this..."
"What does this have to do with me?" The man looked down and fiddled with his fingers.
"Leave!" Nan Ke's message arrived just in time.
"Get to the first floor, run!"
"Okay," Jiang Yang said, sounding extremely disappointed.
"Then we'll go down first," he said, as if he were surrounded by an unknown fear that he was about to face.
When she turned to face Hu Jin, her lips moved slightly, "Don't be afraid."
Jiang Yang and Ji Yang were the only two left in the elevator. Jiang Yang looked at Ji Yang and asked, "Nan Ke told us to run to the first floor. Haven't you completed your mission to escape from the prison yet?"
Ji Yang didn't respond, and Jiang Yang reached out to press the button for the first floor.
The next second, Ji Yang's arm passed by his side, and he preemptively lit up the cursor on the sixth floor.
The elevator started going up again. Jiang Yang asked, puzzled, "What's wrong?"
"Remember the thread we put in the box in the infirmary?"
Jiang Yang nodded, and Ji Yang continued, "On the sixth floor."
"Then I'll send a message to Nan Ke."
After the message was sent, a series of question marks followed.
The last sentence was quite exasperating: "Message me immediately if anything happens!"
Despite having mentally prepared herself for getting the medication beforehand, Jiang Yang was still strongly shocked the moment she stepped onto the sixth floor.
A dim, ambiguous beam of light shines into the golden cage in the middle, reflecting off the glass bricks, glass roof, and glass windows of the empty floor.
The person in the cage was dressed in a silver-white gauze robe, with their hands bound by hemp rope and suspended in mid-air. Beneath the gauze robe were mottled marks that could not be concealed.
A circle of small, suspended televisions were placed within sight of people.
The image that plays on a loop is a face just like his, sometimes vulgar, sometimes alluring, sometimes defiant... sometimes in pain...
The sounds coming from the television gradually gained a hint of joy; someone was pressuring him, forcing him to confront his own gradual decline.
"What's the trick up your sleeve today? Ha..." The person spoke weakly.
Jiang Yang noticed that there were even a few security guards in the video, coming up from the security elevator, which probably indicated a misunderstanding.
He jogged a few steps forward, and just as he was about to cover the cage with his hand, Ji Yang pulled him back, saying, "It's electrified."
Jiang Yang turned around and his gaze fell on the table next to the small TV. He grabbed the remote control and abruptly turned off the TV, instantly bringing a lot of peace and quiet to his ears.
The man opened his eyes. "You weren't sent by him?"
"Who is he?" Ji Yang asked, his eyes fixed straight on him.
"This is not a place for you. Get out," he said, then closed his eyes and ignored them.
Before Jiang Yang could say anything more, two enormous metal birdcages descended from the sky, separating him and Ji Yang.
The birdcage was electrified, and Jiang Yang accidentally touched it without noticing. His fingertip stung, and the smell of burning food hit his nostrils.
Immediately afterwards, a rope fell from above, meandering around the river, and finally seemed to have found a gap.
The rope wrapped around the young man's wrists, forcing him to hang up.
"Looks like you're out of luck. If you're mistaken for an intruder, good luck to you."
The moment the cage fell, Ji Yang instinctively rolled to the side, throwing out playing cards that swept across the rope above the cage.
"Don't waste your energy, this can't be severed."
[Hidden Mission: Obtain the animal protection association's protection agreement]
Jiang Yang's legs swayed involuntarily. The bottom of the cage was made of transparent glass. After observing it carefully, he suddenly looked up and saw that the protection agreement he wanted was right at the top.
"Ji Yang, upstairs!"
Ji Yang naturally saw it too. After looking around, he used the small TV next to him to swing onto the cage where Jiang Yang was.
He had somehow put on a pair of rubber gloves and carefully pulled out the protection agreement while gripping the iron bars.
The protection agreement was slipped through the gap into Jiang Yang's still-movable hand by Ji Yang. Jiang Yang only saw his scalded gloves before he jumped down from the top.
A ding sounded in my ear.
[Congratulations on completing the hidden quest. You will be teleported back to the starting location shortly.]
...
[Transfer failed]
Jiang Yang fully understood Nan Ke's urge to curse.
The non-security elevator dinged, and Ji Yang cautiously stared at the elevator door, methodically instructing, "Send a message to Nan Ke."
Jiang Yang felt a sharp pain in his arm from the weight, and his facial features were straining as he adjusted the control panel.
Finally, he swiped the panel to the top right of his head.
"Sixth floor! Help!"
