Breakfast was ready, and Lu Zhe and Xue Xiaodie sat on opposite sides of the table and began to eat.
Lu Zhe wanted to continue testing the waters, but just then, with the sound of slippers clicking, a petite figure walked into the living room.
Tang Qi rubbed her eyes and asked, "Isn't there any breakfast for me?"
Xue Xiaodie was taken aback: "You don't need to go to work, so why are you up so early?"
Tang Qi tilted her head and smiled: "Getting up early is good for your health!"
"Okay, I'll make you another one."
As Xue Xiaodie was saying this, she was about to stand up when she saw Lu Zhe across the table stand up first and put down his chopsticks. The plate in front of him was already empty.
Lu Zhe took out a tissue, wiped his mouth and said, "You haven't finished eating yet, let me do it. Besides, this is my job."
He went into the kitchen, took out eggs from the refrigerator, and got to work.
Tang Qi sat down quietly next to Xue Xiaodie.
Xue Xiaodie adjusted her glasses, turned her head and asked in a low voice, "Seriously, why did you get up so early today?"
Tang Qi smiled but remained silent.
Xue Xiaodie lowered her voice even further: "Could it be that you're afraid I'll run away? That's impossible..."
Tang Qi shook her head: "Don't worry, I trust you completely. It's just that I don't want to sleep in anymore."
Xue Xiaodie scoffed: "Trying to fob me off with this excuse? Don't you underestimate my intelligence?"
Tang Qi laughed and said, "No way, Sister Xiaodie is very smart, definitely much smarter than me!"
Xue Xiaodie continued eating her fried egg, but in a daze, she felt that the young lady's smile next to her seemed a little strange.
Soon, Lu Zhe brought over freshly fried eggs, which, paired with soy milk, made for a fresh and simple breakfast.
When Tang Qi started eating, Xue Xiaodie had already finished eating and was about to leave for work with Lu Zhe—but just then, Tang Qi hurriedly spoke up again.
"Could you please wait a minute? I'll finish eating right away, please wait a moment!"
Xue Xiaodie was a little surprised: "You don't go to work, why are you with us?"
"Hehe, I think taking a walk in the morning is good for my health, isn't it?"
After saying this, Tang Qi lowered her head and continued eating her fried egg.
Xue Xiaodie stared at her, her eyes filled with doubt—after all, Xue Xiaodie knew this young lady's daily routine quite well. Why would she get up on her own before lunchtime?
Lu Zhe glanced at it briefly, then calmly looked away and remained silent.
He could guess what Miss Tang was thinking.
Perhaps it was because he felt guilty after the sneak attack at night that he was even more afraid that Xue Xiaodie would do something similar?
And so, the three of them went downstairs together and headed towards the software park. The journey was quite short; these mere few hundred meters took only ten minutes.
Upon arriving at the software park, Lu Zhe and Xue Xiaodie walked in side by side at the entrance of the office building.
After saying goodbye to the two, Tang Qi sat on a bench on the sidewalk and stared blankly into space.
The sun was already high in the sky. Warm sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves of the roadside trees, falling on the girl's face. She gently closed her eyes, quietly basking in the morning sun's rays.
However, at this time, it may no longer be considered sunrise, and the temperature is getting higher and higher.
Tang Qi wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead and muttered softly, "Let's go home and enjoy the air conditioning... We can come back for lunch."
She walked a short distance and came to the intersection to wait for the pedestrian light to turn green.
She stood there for half a minute, but the light was still red. Tang Qi muttered to herself almost inaudibly, "The only time he and Xiaodie are alone is when they're going up and down the elevator, and there are so many people around. As for me... it seems like I haven't been alone with him, but what about after Xiaodie falls asleep?"
The green light on the pedestrian crossing finally came on.
Tang Qi couldn't help but smile and take a step forward.

After saying goodbye to Xue Xiaodie, Lu Zhe walked into the company office and went to his workstation.
However, before he even started working, he found that he had received a WeChat message.
A WeChat message from company boss Xia Xiaobing: 【Come to my office for a moment.】
Lu Zhe sighed silently, stood up, and walked towards the president's office. However, as he passed the workstation next to him, someone called out to him.
Fu Hanchen lowered his voice, but said urgently, "Hey, is President Xia calling you over again?"
Lu Zhe stopped, glanced at him, and nodded.
Fu Hanchen glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention, then asked in a low voice, "Why does she keep contacting you? What's it about?"
Lu Zhe thought for a moment and replied, "Because I have a new job assignment. I'm now in charge of that customer service AI project that involves communicating with merchants."
Fu Hanchen frowned and said, "In our company, that's just a fly's leg. Why would President Xia care about such a project?"
Lu Zhe shrugged: "You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?"
Fu Hanchen looked up at him, making no attempt to hide the confusion and scrutiny in his eyes.
Lu Zhe: "Any more questions? If not, I'll head over."
Fu Hanchen shook his head.
Lu Zhe turned and left.
Although he didn't turn around, he could tell that his colleague was staring at his back. As for the reason for his colleague's behavior, Lu Zhe had a pretty good idea.
It's probably just another case of a young boy having a crush on a pretty older woman.
Lu Zhe chuckled inwardly as he pushed open the door to the CEO's office. The moment he stepped inside, he composed himself, adopting a serious and focused demeanor.
"Mr. Xia, what can I do for you?"
