For Lu Zhe, the new workday was more tiring than usual.
Because he only slept for less than six hours last night.
After returning from having barbecue and drinks with friends, I also spent a lot of time on two girls—although there was nothing inappropriate for children, the psychological pressure of going back and forth was considerable and required a lot of energy.

Xue Xiaodie asked softly, "Are you a little sleepy too?"
Lu Zhe noticed the word "also" in her words, so he asked, "Are you sleepy too?"
The girl nodded: "Yes, maybe I didn't get enough sleep last night."
As she spoke, she frowned slightly, looking somewhat troubled.
Lu Zhe: "There's nothing we can do, we're both..."
Xue Xiaodie suddenly changed the subject: "Then, shall we order coffee together?"
Lu Zhe: "You mean, ordering coffee delivery?"
Xue Xiaodie: "Yeah, I have some coupons for Little Blue Cup here. It's quite a good deal. Shall we order one together? You get one, I get one. Maybe we won't be sleepy after we finish drinking."
Lu Zhe thought for a moment and said, "That works too."
So Xue Xiaodie took out her phone and started choosing. After looking at it for a while, she chose hers first and then asked, "What flavor do you want to drink?"
Lu Zhe: "What flavors are available?"
"See for yourself."
As she said this, Xue Xiaodie handed over her phone.
When Lu Zhe took the phone, his fingers naturally touched the girl's. But it was only a light touch, and they separated in an instant, seemingly without any particular meaning.
He flipped through the coffee menu and chose an Americano, but with a little more milk.
Xue Xiaodie took back her phone and, while confirming the order, subconsciously asked, "You have such a strong palate, Americano?"
Lu Zhe shrugged: "With milk added, it shouldn't taste too bitter. The key is that coffees like lattes and cappuccinos aren't strong enough to keep me awake."
Xue Xiaodie smiled and said, "That means your body can handle it. I'm different. Even if most of my cup is milk, just a little coffee is enough to keep me awake."
Lu Zhe: "If you drink it, won't you be unable to sleep at night?"
Xue Xiaodie thought for a moment and pondered, "That's possible. So what should I do if I can't sleep at night?"
Lu Zhe immediately shut his mouth, remaining silent. He felt that this was not a good response.
Fortunately, Xue Xiaodie quickly changed the subject: "Actually, no, because I ordered a coconut latte and asked the shop to add extra cream, so the coffee content isn't high. I should be able to fall asleep tonight."
Lu Zhe thought for a moment, then asked another question: "But coffee with sugar, milk, and cream, isn't that a bit too high in calories...?"
Xue Xiaodie sighed: "Why do you have to bring up things that are hard to talk about?"
Lu Zhe: "Sorry, I was too talkative."
Xue Xiaodie shook her head and said, "It's okay, what you said has given me some inspiration. If I can't sleep, I'll exercise more. That way, I can burn off the extra calories I have today, and I'll be able to fall asleep when I'm tired."
Lu Zhe asked instinctively, "How do you plan to exercise?"
Xue Xiaodie smiled slightly: "Of course, a walk. Do you want to take a walk with me again tonight?"
She spoke in a very low voice, so that none of her colleagues could hear her. Lu Zhe estimated that even the smart speaker nearby wouldn't hear the invitation to a late-night walk.
The girl's eyes when she extended the invitation were gentle yet filled with anticipation, making it impossible to refuse.
Besides, it's just a walk, why would you refuse?
Lu Zhe breathed a sigh of relief and nodded: "Okay."
Xue Xiaodie smiled and returned to her workstation, sat down, and continued working.
Lu Zhe looked back at his computer screen and noticed something.
Although he had just placed the order and hadn't even had a drop of coffee yet, he was no longer sleepy.
"Is this the effect of a placebo?" he murmured to himself.

It was 6 PM, time to leave work.
Xue Xiaodie clocked out and left first, while Lu Zhe sat at his workstation for a while longer, then stood by the window to make sure Xue Xiaodie was far away before going downstairs to the intersection where he had arranged to meet Xia Xiaobing.
Less than five minutes later, the familiar BMW pulled up on the side of the road.
With a nervous heart, Lu Zhe got into the car and glanced around before realizing that there was no one else in the car except for Xia Xiaobing in the driver's seat.
