The next morning, when Xue Xiaodie and Tang Qi woke up, they both found WeChat on their phones:
I'm still awake at this hour. I had insomnia tonight, and I'm also in a bad mood. Don't worry about me tomorrow morning; I'm taking half a day off.
The WeChat message was sent to them by Lu Zhe at 2:30 a.m.
After Tang Qi finished washing up and getting ready, she picked up her phone and saw this message. Then she ran out of the bedroom and saw Xue Xiaodie sitting at the dining table, also looking at her phone.
"Did you receive Lu Zhe's WeChat message?" Tang Qi asked.
Xue Xiaodie looked up at her and asked, "Lu Zhe said he wants to take leave?"
Tang Qi nodded.
Xue Xiaodie raised the phone in her hand: "Looks like he sent it to both of us. Since he's not going to the company this morning, you probably don't need to go out either, right?"
Tang Qi pulled out a chair and sat down, sighing, "If I had known he wouldn't get up, I would have stayed in bed and not gotten up!"
Xue Xiaodie smiled but remained silent.
Tang Qi suddenly realized something and added, "But don't worry, even if I'm alone with him in the room, I won't do anything inappropriate."
Xue Xiaodie smiled and said, "Do whatever you want. What does it have to do with me in the future? I'm friends with all of you."
Tang Qi stared at her, but couldn't detect the slightest resentment in those peach blossom eyes. So, even the young lady was a little confused—it seemed that Sister Xiaodie had really given up.
