For the next half hour, Lu Zhe had a very pleasant chat.
Since graduating from university, his already limited circle of friends has plummeted, and he rarely has the chance to chat with someone face-to-face for so long, especially about topics that interest him.
Nearly half an hour later, the dinner was long over, and the chat about the European Cup and the Copa America came to a temporary end.
Xue Xiaodie concluded, "So, you absolutely have to watch the match the day after tomorrow morning, it would be such a shame to miss it."
However, Lu Zhe remembered a minor but significant question and casually asked, "I've moved now, so do we still need to watch the game together the day after tomorrow?"
Xue Xiaodie couldn't help but chuckle, but immediately suppressed the smile and pointed to the table in front of her: "It's simple, we'll just meet here. Anyway, this KFC opens earlier than the one there, I just asked."
Lu Zhe looked around: "But there's no TV here."
Xue Xiaodie held up her phone and waved it: "This is perfect. We can even plug in earphones so the two of us can watch without disturbing anyone. We can order some breakfast and watch the game together, making it a really good value."
Lu Zhe had to admit that this was indeed a somewhat convincing solution. Back in college, when he went to a bar with friends to watch the Champions League, they would spend over a hundred yuan a night, splitting the bill. But at KFC, where they could sit for as long as they wanted in the air conditioning, the total cost for both of them wouldn't exceed fifty yuan.
And don't forget, there's a pretty girl by his side—although Lu Zhe is very wary of romantic relationships, he has to admit that being with a cute girl is quite pleasing to the eye.
So he replied, "Then let's meet here at eight o'clock the day after tomorrow morning, no, seven fifty, a little earlier."
Xue Xiaodie smiled sweetly: "Okay, it's settled then."
"I'll be going now, I have things to do back home."
As he spoke, Lu Zhe stood up.
Xue Xiaodie also stood up and walked outside with him.
Just as Lu Zhe pushed open the store door and felt the summer heat wave hit him, he heard the girl's light and melodious voice behind him.
She said, "Come to think of it, I don't have a story like yours..."
Lu Zhe turned his head: "What story?"
Xue Xiaodie tilted her head: "It's what we talked about at the beginning, your first love story. Unlike you, I've never been in a relationship, so unfortunately, I don't have any stories to tell."
Lu Zhe was both amused and exasperated: "This isn't a good story anyway, why make yourself unhappy?"
Xue Xiaodie stared at him, sighed silently, blinked, and then revealed a serene smile again.
"See you tomorrow morning then!"
After saying that, the girl waved her hand and turned to walk towards the subway station.

That noon, Tang Qi slowly woke up in bed and it took her a while to realize that it was Saturday.
In other words, unlike the previous two days, Lu Zhe doesn't need to go to work during the day and can play with me all day!
She had been thinking about what games to play on Saturday. But now, looking at the bright sunshine outside the window, she suddenly had an urge to go outside with Lu Zhe and enjoy the beautiful weather.
The girl opened her wardrobe, picking out clothes while muttering, "Playing games isn't making any progress... No, no, his mind is all on the game, what about me? I need to think of a more suitable form of entertainment."
Watching a movie? Karaoke? Escape room? Murder mystery game?
They all seem okay, but none of them are particularly unique.
After changing her clothes and fixing her hair, Tang Qi still couldn't make up her mind. So she decided to ask Lu Zhe what he thought.
Then Tang Qi found Lu Zhe in the study.
Lu Zhe was facing his computer, pen in hand, notebook in hand, taking notes while watching a video. Because he was wearing headphones and listening intently, he didn't notice the petite figure that suddenly appeared at the study doorway to his side.
Tang Qi tiptoed behind him and quietly examined the content on the screen.
After watching quietly for a while, the girl finally couldn't help but pat him on the shoulder.
Lu Zhe tapped the keyboard to pause the video, then turned around and asked, "Ms. Tang, is there anything I can help you with?"
Tang Qi: "You're teaching yourself programming?"
Lu Zhe: I guess so. There was a problem with the mini-program I was working on earlier. I'll study it some more and analyze it.
Tang Qi: "Aren't you in operations? You need to learn programming too?"
Lu Zhe smiled and said, "Since there's an opportunity to learn on the job, why let it pass? Actually, I've been considering learning programming to switch careers, but programmers work so much overtime, so I've been hesitant. Now it's great, I don't need to work overtime, I can learn something, and the salary isn't bad either..."
Tang Qi said thoughtfully, "You're very satisfied with this job."
Lu Zhe: "I'm very satisfied with both of my current jobs. But Ms. Tang, I don't think my job here will just be playing games with you all the time, will it?"
Tang Qi: "Or what?"
Lu Zhe: "I remember you said you were going to university during the summer vacation. So, what major are you going to study? Should you study it on your own first?"
Tang Qi: "Management Science".
Lu Zhe: "Considering your family background, this major is quite practical."
Tang Qi: "Actually, studying is fine today too... Wait for me a minute."
The girl went to her bedroom, retrieved her Apple laptop, and returned to the study, placing it next to the desktop computer screen. She also moved a chair over.
