The next morning, Lu Zhe was woken up by Tang Qi.
"Sister Xiaodie has almost finished making breakfast! Hurry up and get up, it's time to go to work after you eat!"
Hearing that slightly immature yet tender voice, Lu Zhe opened his eyes groggily and saw that the young lady had already bent over and was almost lying on top of him.
Tang Qi's voice suddenly lowered considerably: "She's still busy, so let's take this opportunity..."
Before she could finish speaking, Tang Qi kissed her.
The warm touch of his lips was fleeting, and Tang Qi quickly distanced herself from him, laughing, "Alright, there's no more to try. Let's go have breakfast. Sister Xiaodie made it today, and it smells so good."
Lu Zhe smiled, propped himself up on his arms and sat up, naturally kissing the young lady's pink lips again.
Tang Qi didn't flinch when she was kissed. But after the kiss, she jumped back two steps, crossed her arms over her chest, and cried out in terror, "You assaulted me!"
Lu Zhe: "...Stop fooling around, go out for a bit, I need to change my clothes."
"Oh, okay," Tang Qi suddenly frowned, thinking of a question, "What are you wearing today?"
Lu Zhe thought for only a second before coming up with the best answer: "The outfit I wore yesterday isn't dirty, I can wear it for another day before changing."
He was wearing the trench coat and suit that Tang Qi had recently bought for him yesterday. Wearing this to Xia Xiaobing's company was a choice that made Tang Qi extremely happy.
The young lady couldn't help but smile: "Alright then, you change your clothes first, I'll go see Sister Xiaodie."
She turned and left.
Lu Zhe rolled out of bed, took the clothes hanging on the hook behind the door, and put them on.
Despite wearing them all day, the weather was gradually turning autumnal and the temperature was dropping, so he barely sweated yesterday. The clothes, which were originally crisp, remained crisp and fit perfectly. Wearing them still enhanced his overall appearance—he concluded, looking at himself in the full-length mirror.
So, what should you say if Xia Xiaobing asks? Should you tell the truth that Tang Qi bought it, or tell a little white lie and say that you bought the clothes yourself?
Lu Zhe stared at the mirror, lost in thought. A cloud of worry hung over his handsome face reflected in the mirror.

After breakfast, Lu Zhe and Xue Xiaodie headed to the company, while Tang Qi did not accompany them.
The young lady got into her bodyguard's car and headed to school—although classes and military training hadn't started yet, the counselor required everyone to come to school, supposedly for some business. She didn't let Lu Zhe ask for leave again, and went to adapt to the university campus on her own.
Lu Zhe and Xue Xiaodie arrived at the company, entered the office, sat down at their workstations, and quickly got into work mode.
I focused on working from 9:30 until after 10:20...
After solving a minor problem related to AI pattern recognition, Lu Zhe leaned back in his chair and stretched. Suddenly, he noticed the camera in the corner of the wall directly in front of him.
A thought suddenly popped into Lu Zhe's mind: Could Xia Xiaobing be using this camera to monitor him right now?
He had considered this possibility before, but at that time, President Xia's intentions had not been fully revealed. But now, the two had such a deep and substantial relationship, and Lu Zhe knew her better, so he naturally knew... she was entirely capable of doing such a thing.
Moreover, something Xue Xiaodie said last night resonated with him: "When faced with uncertainties, one should first consider the worst-case scenario."
Thinking about this worst-case scenario, Lu Zhe realized that there seemed to be another layer of danger around him. If he and Xue Xiaodie showed any signs of intimacy in the office and were caught on camera... then the probability of him getting into trouble with Xia Xiaobing would be quite high.
Moreover, there is an urgent problem now: what should he say if Xia Xiaobing asks about the clothes he is wearing? His morning thoughts have not yet yielded a foolproof answer, and the sense of crisis is becoming increasingly apparent.
Just then, Mao Kai walked over with his hands behind his back and said leisurely, "Lu Zhe, Xue Xiaodie, President Xia wants to see you two."
Xue Xiaodie took off her headphones.
Lu Zhe looked up and asked, "Right now?"
Mao Kai nodded: "Yes, now."
Xue Xiaodie and Lu Zhe exchanged a glance, stood up simultaneously, and walked towards the president's office.
Pushing open the door, I found only Xia Xiaobing inside. This beautiful boss wasn't sitting at her computer, but rather walking slowly on a treadmill. She wasn't wearing workout clothes, just a hoodie, casual trousers, and sneakers—very ordinary clothes, but her dashing and spirited demeanor remained undiminished.
After the two entered, Xia Xiaobing stopped the treadmill, got off, and wasn't even out of breath.
She pointed to the sofa and said, "Please sit down, I have something to ask you."
Lu Zhe and Xue Xiaodie sat on the sofa. But Xia Xiaobing did not sit down; instead, she stood a few steps in front of them, looking down at them with a slightly condescending air.
Lu Zhe then smiled and said, "President Xia, are you just standing there?"
Xia Xiaobing nodded: "Yes, I'll stand for a while. I was a little sleepy this morning, so my work efficiency wasn't very good. I need to exercise to boost my mental state."
Xue Xiaodie smiled and said, "President Xia is really working hard."
Xia Xiaobing crossed her arms and said, "Startups must work harder and pay more attention to have a better chance of survival."
