Chapter 33 What to do on a rainy day

The phone was still ringing.

Tang Qi blinked her big eyes and asked curiously, "Who is it?"

Lu Zhe: "Friends who watch football together."

His tone was relatively calm, and he truly had a clear conscience. Xue Xiaodie was indeed just a friend, and they had indeed watched the game together. Was there a single falsehood in his words? Of course not; he just hadn't mentioned that this friend was a pretty girl.

Tang Qi nodded: "Then you take it. Perfect timing, I'll play this for a while longer..."

So, in front of the girl, Lu Zhe calmly answered another girl's call.

Then I heard Xue Xiaodie say, "I found a new place to live today, and I even took the afternoon off to move. But it started raining on the bus... I've gotten off the bus now, but I don't have an umbrella. I thought I'd have to ask you for help. Could you bring me an umbrella? I'm at the bus stop, it shouldn't be far from you..."

Lu Zhe calmly replied, "Okay, I'll head over now. Send me your location."

After saying that, he hung up the phone, opened WeChat, and waited for Xue Xiaodie to send him the location information.

Tang Qi gripped the controller, staring intently at the television screen, seemingly engrossed in the game.

However, just as Lu Zhe turned around and was about to walk out, Miss Tang suddenly said, "There are umbrellas at the door."

"Yes, I saw it. You can take your time playing. I... By the way, what would you like for dinner?"

As they were talking, Lu Zhe had already reached the door and picked out the largest umbrella.

Tang Qi was still playing the game, saying as she played, "I don't care, I'm not that hungry anyway, and my stomach wasn't feeling too good after eating hot pot last time... Can you cook noodles for me when you get back?"

"Okay, no problem."

As soon as Lu Zhe finished speaking, the sound of the door opening and closing followed. Tang Qi then knew that her assistant had run out again.

At this point, she paused the game.

"Why is he so busy..." The girl leaned back on the sofa, staring at the ceiling. "I've been waiting all day."

Achoo!

Xue Xiaodie stood at the bus stop and couldn't help but sneeze.

She hadn't brought an umbrella, and the platform's roof was only slightly wide. Even a slight breeze in the rain could easily blow raindrops onto her.

Xue Xiaodie subconsciously touched the hem of her skirt. The pleated mini-skirt seemed a little damp. Her legs beneath the skirt were also covered in fine raindrops, feeling cool to the touch. As for her white stockings, pulled up to her knees, they were practically see-through…

The girl couldn't help but recall things from the 'past'.

She remembered that her first date with that guy was on a rainy day just like this. The dimness of the light and the misty fog seemed exactly the same.

It's truly something to miss.

Interestingly, despite the 'nostalgia,' their first date should have happened two months later. But now, things have progressed much faster.

But since it was already scheduled ahead of schedule, why did something go wrong?

Xue Xiaodie was completely baffled.

In her memory, during that time, she and that guy were together without any outside interference. The young lady named 'Tang Qi' never even appeared.

Achoo!

The girl sneezed again, and just then, she looked up and suddenly found an umbrella above her head.

She quickly turned her head and saw the person beside her. Her little face immediately lit up with surprise and delight: "You came so quickly!"

Lu Zhe touched the tip of his nose and said softly, "Because we're already very close. By the way, are all of these yours?"

Xue Xiaodie glanced at the two large suitcases beside her and laughed, "Yeah, I have more stuff than you. Could you hold the umbrella for me? I can manage to drag it."

Both suitcases have wheels on the bottom, so although they are heavy, girls can certainly pull them.

But Lu Zhe handed the umbrella to Xue Xiaodie and took the two suitcases first: "Let me do it."

The thought of making the girl drag her heavy luggage while he held an umbrella for her made him feel a little awkward. Since he was already there, he figured he might as well help her out.

So Xue Xiaodie could only hold the umbrella and follow beside him. Lu Zhe, dragging his suitcase, followed the direction Xue Xiaodie pointed…

After walking a short distance, Lu Zhe suddenly looked up and said, "You're getting wet in the rain."

Xue Xiaodie was holding an umbrella, but she was pointing it towards Lu Zhe. Half of her shoulder was exposed.

The girl smiled and said, "You're the one who's working, of course I can't let you get wet."

Lu Zhe: "But you were just sneezing."

Xue Xiaodie shook her head again: "I'm fine, it's okay. Anyway, it's summer now. Sigh, I was hoping for some rain to cool things down, but it just so happened to coincide with me moving my luggage, so unlucky... Hehe, luckily I have you."

"It's nothing, just a small favor."

Lu Zhe could only hurry forward. Once inside, he wouldn't need an umbrella anymore.

A few minutes later, the two entered a residential area. The environment of this residential area looked quite nice, but in terms of quality, it certainly couldn't compare to the young lady's luxury apartment.

Once inside the residential building, I finally didn't need to use an umbrella anymore.

Xue Xiaodie rented a room on the second floor. The floor was low, but because she had two heavy suitcases, it still took her a while to wait for the elevator.

A few minutes later, they finally arrived at the door. Xue Xiaodie took out her key and opened the door.

Lu Zhe glanced inside: "A one-bedroom apartment?"

Xue Xiaodie: "Yeah, I live alone anyway, so 40 square meters is enough. The key is that I don't have any roommates, which makes it more convenient."

It's more convenient not having a roommate...

Lu Zhe glanced at her.

Xue Xiaodie continued, "Otherwise, it would be too troublesome to have to fight with others when going to the toilet, taking a shower, or cooking."

"Yeah." Lu Zhe nodded casually and carried both suitcases inside.

Xue Xiaodie walked in slowly behind him and closed the door naturally.

The girl said softly, "Would you like to sit here for a while?"

Lu Zhe shook his head: "Your clothes are all wet and you're sneezing. Go take a hot shower. I won't bother you anymore."

Xue Xiaodie thought about it and realized that she really didn't have any reason to keep him here.

The girl smiled and said, "Then you should go back. I need to hurry up too; I still need to tidy up the house."

Lu Zhe: "You must be quite busy tonight... Keep it up."

Xue Xiaodie: "Mmm, thank you!"

Lu Zhe left.

Xue Xiaodie stared at the door that had closed again, frowning slightly. But then, something suddenly occurred to her, and she smiled, pursing her lips.

The night isn't over yet.
