The long-awaited Friday off has finally arrived for workers.
Xia Xiaobing remained in her CEO's office, seemingly very busy. Lu Zhe hesitated for a moment, then left the company without greeting her in front of his other colleagues.
Once on the first floor, Lu Zhe met up with Xue Xiaodie and Tang Qi, and then headed straight for the small apartment he had rented—to pack his things and move.
Lu Zhe only needed to pack his laptop and charger, stuff a few sets of clothes into the suitcase, and put some odds and ends in the side pockets before he was ready to go. Of course, he didn't forget to bring the small speaker Xia Xiaobing had given him.
After packing, he dragged his suitcase to his neighbor's door and waited for a while.
Xue Xiaodie also wanted to move, but she naturally had more things to pack than him. After more than ten minutes, she had packed two suitcases. However, she wasn't dragging her luggage alone, because Tang Qi was there to help her.
Seeing the two girls each pulling a suitcase out, Lu Zhe reminded them, "Have you turned off the water, electricity, and gas?"
Xue Xiaodie smiled and nodded: "Of course."
Tang Qi, who was standing next to Lu Zhe, glanced at his only suitcase and couldn't help but sigh, "You have too little stuff."
He smiled and said, "That's precisely why we need to focus on making money."
Xue Xiaodie: "So, once you've got the money, what are your plans for spending it?"
Lu Zhe: "Let me think...maybe, buying a car and a house?"
Tang Qi: "That's so unoriginal."
Xue Xiaodie: "Indeed, it sounds too ordinary. We thought you would say something different."
Lu Zhe: "Actually, you don't need to worry about how to spend your money. The more you earn, the more you'll find you need to spend money. When I was studying philosophy as an undergraduate, I thought a thousand yuan a month would be enough. I didn't think I'd need to put effort into making money; I could just find a decent job..."
Xue Xiaodie covered her mouth and chuckled: "But then we found out that we still needed money?"
Lu Zhe: "Money is a person's courage. After graduation, looking at your empty wallet and your bank account with only one or two thousand yuan, you can't help but worry about whether you can afford to pay next month's rent. Or, what if the rent goes up?"
Tang Qi could only remain silent. After all, she had never experienced this feeling before, and she felt that whatever she said would be inappropriate.
Xue Xiaodie laughed and said, "It's okay, it's fine now. As long as you don't force me to buy a house, there's no problem."
Lu Zhe: "With my income, I wouldn't even consider buying a house."
Xue Xiaodie: "So, if you don't buy a house, will you still not consider getting married?"
Lu Zhe: "Isn't that obvious?"
The three of them chatted as they exited the elevator. But just as they stepped out of the building and were about to leave the community, they ran into someone.
That's right, it's Xia Xiaobing who lives here.
Xia Xiaobing smiled when she saw that the three of them were dragging suitcases: "You guys are moving so fast?"
For a moment, none of the three knew how to respond to the question.
After a couple of seconds, Lu Zhe replied, "Because I want to get these things sorted out quickly so I can sit down and study properly, and maybe even work overtime at home."
Xia Xiaobing asked jokingly, "Are you really that hardworking?"
Lu Zhe: "Of course, I still have a lot to learn about algorithms."
Xia Xiaobing glanced at the time on her phone and asked, "Have you had dinner yet?"
Before Lu Zhe could answer, Xue Xiaodie quickly interjected, "We've already eaten! The three of us ate on the way back!"
Xia Xiaobing looked at the seemingly frail girl with glasses and smiled meaningfully: "You guys are really quick."
Xue Xiaodie laughed too: "You're home pretty early. I thought you were going to work overtime tonight."
"Alright then, you all get a good rest tonight. Lu Zhe, you don't need to work overtime either, relax and have some fun, goodbye."
After saying that, Xia Xiaobing waved and walked into the residential building. Her tall, slender figure disappeared from the three people's sight.
Tang Qi, who had remained silent throughout the conversation, suddenly realized something and leaned close to Xue Xiaodie's ear.
The young lady asked quietly, "We clearly haven't had dinner, but you said we have. Is it so that Mr. Xia won't treat us?"
Xue Xiaodie turned her head and glanced at her, then smiled and said, "That's right."
Tang Qi: "You reacted so quickly?"
Xue Xiaodie: "Aren't you a little slow to react?"
Tang Qi: "..."
Xue Xiaodie sighed and said, "From now on, try to keep quiet in our presence. Only speak when I call you, okay?"
Tang Qi: "Okay..."

The three of them entered Miss Tang's apartment. Because it was so close, they didn't even need to take a taxi; they simply walked there with their suitcases.
Once they were in familiar territory, Tang Qi finally regained some confidence and began making arrangements: "Lu Zhe, you can sleep in the same bedroom you had before. Xiao Die, come with me, your room is here, right next to mine..."
Tang Qi led Xue Xiaodie to the bedroom in the apartment that had been empty all along.
Xue Xiaodie had no complaints about the bedroom's environment. She pressed down on the bed and found that even the mattress was softer than the one she had slept in before, seemingly more comfortable to sleep on. As for details such as the floor tiles and wooden wardrobe, they further highlighted the high-end nature of the decor and furniture.
But Xue Xiaodie still noticed a problem: "Where is the restroom?"
