Chapter 15 The Big Tiger

By this time, Zhiyin had already arrived at the back mountain.

She looked at the vast expanse of white forest, with faint footprints on the ground, which were probably in the direction that Aunt Xu and the others had just walked.

She didn't mind and slowly began to admire the surrounding scenery as she walked deeper into the area.

In fact, all the wild vegetables were crushed to death in the dead of winter, and there were no mushrooms or anything, but the purpose of Zhiyin's trip was not to pick wild vegetables.

Every now and then, a few rabbits, ground squirrels, and squirrels would dart past her.

"Squeak squeak squeak..."

'Does this human want to eat me?'

My mom always said that humans love eating little white rabbits the most…

'But she looks kind of silly, she probably won't arrest me, right?'

'Let me go tease her...'

Listening to these little animals discussing as if no one else was around, Zhiyin couldn't help but twitch her lips.

When she heard someone call her stupid, she immediately gave a mischievous grin.

She just stood there, ready to see how they would amuse her.

Soon, a chubby little white rabbit leaped up, ready to ambush her bottom.

Zhiyin pretended not to see it, and when the little white rabbit bumped into her bottom and bragged about it to the other rabbits, she only feigned a complaint, "Ouch, what is that?"

Hahaha, she's so stupid, she didn't even see me!

After saying this, it and its other rabbit brothers prepared to bump into Zhiyin again, but this time Zhiyin did not let them go.

With lightning speed, it flipped over and, with swift reflexes, used both hands to grab all four rabbits in its hands.

She flashed a smug, mischievous grin, like a cat that'd just stolen some cream. "Hehehe, with your IQs, you think you can fool me?"

She flicked the little rabbit's leg. "Braised rabbit, spicy rabbit, steamed rabbit... Hahaha, get ready to become my dinner!"

'Ahhhhh!! ! ...

The rabbits instantly let out a sharp, piercing scream, shrinking back in disbelief, 'No, don't eat us…'

Upon seeing the rabbits being caught, the squirrels that had been watching the spectacle all fled in panic.

'Mommy, humans are so scary…'

Zhiyin ignored the rabbits' screams, finding them too noisy, and knocked them unconscious, putting them all into her basket.

Only then did I continue walking down, feeling quite happy. It had been a long time since I had eaten spicy rabbit meat, and I couldn't help but lick my lips just thinking about it.

Unfortunately, we didn't encounter the silly rabbit again along the way. Even when a few wild deer occasionally passed by, they quickly ran away the moment they saw their kindred spirit.

Zhiyin was not disappointed and continued walking slowly down the path.

Finally, after an unknown amount of time, she seemed to hear the roar of a tiger and the howling of a wild boar.

Her eyes lit up immediately, and she quickly and carefully ran towards the source of the sound.

Parting the snow, they found a Siberian tiger, weighing about two or three hundred pounds, lying on top of a large wild boar, tearing at its flesh.

By this time, the wild boar had already died.

Beside the large tiger were two or three tiger cubs, crying for food.

They tried to bite the wild boar, just like their mother, but their teeth weren't sharp enough and the boar's skin was too thick, so they couldn't bite it off.

They immediately let out pitiful cries, and all of them impatiently rubbed against the big tiger, trying to be affectionate.

The tiger, probably annoyed by the noise, impatiently bit off several pieces of meat and threw them in front of them.

"Roar roar roar..."

'Get out of my way, you piece of trash! Don't even mention I'm your mother, I wouldn't be able to tear a single piece of your flesh from you.'

After Zhiyin understood, she couldn't help but laugh out loud, and looked at the two little tigers with pure affection.

She used to love going to the zoo and chatting with the animals, always hearing gossip about humans from them.

It's a pity I never had the chance to touch a tiger before, but it seems I'll have the chance today.

Looking at the two tigers' big, watery eyes and their chubby, furry bodies, her heart softened.

Just then, the tiger seemed to hear her voice and its expression suddenly became wary.

He crouched down, growling incessantly in the direction of Zhiyin, his eyes sharp and ferocious, as if he would rush over and tear her to pieces at any moment.

"No, no, no, sister, please don't do it! I'm a good person!"

Upon hearing this, Zhiyin hurriedly went out to prepare for a friendly exchange with her, since no matter how powerful she was, she couldn't kill a tiger like Wu Song.

Seeing Zhiyin's thin and frail figure, the big tiger relaxed a lot, but still confronted her.

"Roar roar roar..."

'Human, stay away! If you dare come any closer, I'll eat you!'

It looked at her fiercely and warily, but when it noticed the wolf-like look in Zhiyin's eyes as she looked at the two tiger cubs, it instantly lost its composure.

Fearing she might try to steal his child, he reverted to an aggressive stance.

Zhiyin smiled at her and said, "Oh, sister, don't worry, I won't hurt your child."

Upon hearing this, the tiger was dumbfounded. Why did it feel like its confidant was talking to it?

But that's impossible, isn't it?

How could anyone understand what she was saying?

However, in those few dozen seconds when it was completely bewildered, Zhiyin had already successfully pulled the two tiger cubs into her arms.

More specifically, the two tiger cubs curiously climbed in on their own.

The man and the two tigers engaged in a friendly exchange for a moment.

Especially when he heard what they were saying, the big tiger went from being completely dumbfounded to being shocked.

Because Zhiyin was actually communicating with the two tiger cubs, when it heard what they were saying, it immediately looked annoyed.

She held back, but finally couldn't resist and slapped her two ungrateful sons who were gesticulating wildly and complaining to her friend.

He slapped the two children away with a wave of his hand and yelled at them angrily.

"Roar roar roar..."

"You two brats, how can you be so ungrateful?"

The roar was deafening, and all the birds in the forest were startled and flew away.

Zhiyin couldn't help but smile, then hugged the wailing little tiger back into her arms, comforting it with heartache.

The two tiger cubs seemed to feel the long-lost warmth, snuggling in her arms and refusing to let go, constantly cuddling with her, looking clingy and adorable.

Zhiyin was absolutely smitten, hugging and squirming them repeatedly, kissing them again and again. She truly adored these two chubby, soft babies! She wished she could steal them away.

But after seeing their mother's resentful look, they still didn't do it.

Instead, she played with the two little ones and carefully fed them meat little by little.

Seeing that they were eating with great relish, the big tiger had no temper and silently continued eating as well.

In just one afternoon, Zhiyin developed a very deep bond with Dahu and the two cubs.

During their conversation, Zhiyin learned that the big tiger was a single mother; her husband had been with another tiger recently, and was killed by that other tiger's partner.

Perhaps to thank his friend for helping take care of the child, the big tiger specially left two pig legs for his friend.

The friend accepted it without hesitation.
