Chapter 2 Beat them to death

The aunts and other relatives nearby gasped in surprise upon seeing this sudden scene and rushed over to help their grandmother up.

Zhiyin quickly helped Yao Yulin up and watched the scene with a cold eye.

"You little bitch, are you looking for death? Are you trying to rebel?"

Grandmother's face was contorted with rage as she felt the excruciating pain in her buttocks. She was furious and felt like she had been challenged like never before. She glared fiercely at Zhiyin's pale face.

"How dare you grab me! This is utterly outrageous! You're worse than an animal!"

As she spoke, she pushed away her aunt who was supporting her, and prepared to slap Zhiyin across the face with a fierce look.

"You little good-for-nothing, kneel down! How dare you disobey your mother? You must have a death wish!"

Zhiyin glanced indifferently at the other gloating onlookers around her, and gently raised her hand to block them with a slap.

Not only that, before anyone could react, he slapped his grandmother's dry, bark-like face hard across the back.

A loud "bang" followed

Grandmother was stunned, and everyone was stunned.

They all stared at Zhiyin in disbelief, their eyes wide as if they had seen a ghost.

"Are you... are you crazy? I'm your grandmother!"

Grandmother's eyes widened in fear.

Zhiyin's eyes were full of impatience. She scoffed, "Ha, grandmother? Do you deserve to be called that?"

"What kind of grandmother would want her granddaughter to die? I'm starting to doubt if my father is even your biological son!"

Thinking of everything in the original owner's memories, Zhiyin felt an urge to teach those heartless bastards a lesson.

In her memory, the original owner's family had suffered a lot.

From a young age, even though they were all sons, my grandparents always favored my eldest brother.

They always gave their eldest uncle all the good food and fun things to eat, and they saved every penny to support his studies. Of course, the eldest uncle lived up to expectations and became a well-known scholar in the surrounding area.

But that's all there is to it. So many years have passed, from when I was a teenager to now at 30, and I'm still single-mindedly studying to pass the imperial examination.

Of course, he was the apple of his family's eye, and everything he ate, wore, and used was the best he could ever have. He was raised just like a young master from a wealthy family.

On the contrary, the original owner's father was like an old ox, working tirelessly for the family since he was a teenager, and he could be said to have given everything.

However, the grandmother was unwilling to give the original owner's father even the money to marry off his daughter-in-law. The original owner's mother married her father because of an accident.

If it weren't for the accident, given his grandmother's personality, the original owner's father probably would never have been able to find a wife in his entire life!

It's estimated that this family will drain them dry, and then cruelly discard everything in the end.

The grandmother treated her two daughters-in-law, the original owner's mother and the eldest aunt, in completely different ways.

At first, everyone disliked each other and had various complaints.

But later, because her aunt gave birth to the family's only big, healthy son, she became a great contributor to the family. As the saying goes, a mother's status rises with her son's, and from then on, her grandmother's attitude towards her changed completely.

The original owner's mother was called a barren hen because she only gave birth to two daughters, and she was never liked by her.

Any good things in the house belong to my uncle's family.

Not only did they receive no benefits, but they also ended up doing all the dirty and tiring work.

The original owner's father was often away from home because he relied on working in the city to support his family, and he had to give all the wages he received to his grandmother without keeping a single penny.

Even a fraction less would draw criticism, with the shrewish grandmother spreading rumors that the original owner's father was an unfilial son.

It was under the pressure of filial piety from childhood that the original owner's father, like an old ox, worked tirelessly and thanklessly to support the family.

It can be said that the reason why the eldest uncle's whole family was able to live so well was because they exploited the original owner's father; they were a bunch of bloodsuckers.

But they didn't appreciate the original owner's father's kindness at all. Instead, their family lived like servants, worse than dogs. At least dogs don't have to work!

The reason why the original owner's father went to join the army was not actually voluntary; it should have been his uncle who went.

But the grandmother was terrified that her beloved eldest son would die on the battlefield.

Finally, after her earnest pleas, coupled with the pressure of filial piety and repeated assurances that she would take good care of Zhiyin and her two children if the original owner's father went, the original owner's father finally agreed.

Actually, there was nothing he could do even if they didn't agree. After this incident, the original owner's father had completely seen through the true colors of this family and was ready to make a name for himself so that the mother and her two children could live a good life.

At the same time, they can escape from this bloodsucking family.

Who would have thought that this trip would be the last?

It can be said that the original owner's father died in place of his uncle!

In the end, the grandmother not only embezzled all the 10 taels of pension that the court had given to the martyrs, but also failed to fulfill her promise to take good care of their family.

During the time her father was away, they lived a life that was absolutely inhuman. In the dead of winter, they couldn't even afford to give them a cotton-padded coat.

They do the most work every day, yet they are always hungry and cold.

Thinking about it, she couldn't help but feel a surge of anger.

"You little slut! If your father wasn't born of me, then who was? You're such a despicable person!" Grandmother was furious.

"Really? If he knew in the afterlife that you, his wicked mother, almost treated his wife and children this way while his body was still warm, do you think he would be so angry that he would jump out of his coffin to settle the score with you?"

Zhiyin spoke coldly, her sharp, hawk-like eyes sweeping over everyone present, her voice like a ghost, "Especially you, Uncle, don't you really feel like someone is breathing on your neck in the middle of the night?"
