Chapter 53 Setting up a stall

"Okay... Mother is waiting for you to come back for dinner!"

Yao Yulin smiled and relaxed, watching the two of them get onto the mule cart with tenderness.

Seeing that Coal Ball kept barking and trying to get on the mule cart to go with Zhiyin and the others.

She quickly picked it up and gently stroked its head. "Sweetie, there are too many people and too many eyes in the county. There might be dog thieves. For your own safety, you should stay home with me!"

After saying that, she carried the struggling coal into the house, closed the door, and sat down by the stove to warm herself.

At the same time, he took out the cotton-padded jackets that Zhiyin had bought for Yuanyuan and Mengmeng, intending to cut them up and give the two tigers a surprise.

Looking at the little coal ball squatting at her feet, whimpering pitifully, she couldn't help but chuckle. "Stop crying, I'll make you a little outfit and shoes later!"

Coal Ball seemed to understand, and stopped howling. Instead, it happily barked around Yao Yulin, then climbed into her arms and lay there obediently with its eyes closed, as if it were very at ease. Soon, it started to snore softly.

Seeing how well-behaved it was, Yao Yulin couldn't help but smile. Her hands kept moving as she felt the warmth in the air, and she felt that life had never been so pleasant.

"Sister, what do you like? I'll buy you lots and lots of things when I earn money from painting in the future."

As Zhihua rested her chin on her hand and watched Zhiyin drive the mule cart away, her voice was full of longing and anticipation for the future.

"Wow... You've even learned to draw pie in the sky? But it seems like my sister doesn't really like anything, her only hobby is money!"

As Zhihua drove the mule cart, she couldn't help but chuckle to herself, thinking that Zhihua was truly a sweet and considerate girl.

It's so nice to have a sweet, obedient, and sensible little sister!

As she thought about it, her eyes shone with even more joy and relief. After all, she was an only child in her previous life. Although it was great, she would sometimes feel lonely when she saw other children being loved by their older brothers and bickering with their younger sisters. She always longed for a brother or sister.

It actually happened!

The more she thought about it, the more she felt that she had come to the right world.

"Oh, I see! Then all the money I earn from painting will go to my sister."

Zhihua answered without hesitation.

"Haha, you're so good at drawing! I love you so much!"

"Then you'll have to work hard at drawing from now on, okay? I'll be waiting for the day you take care of me!"

Zhiyin listened to her somewhat naive but not joking tone, and her mouth almost twisted with laughter.

"Yes, sister, it won't be long!"

Zhihua clenched her fists tightly, as if trying to encourage herself.

Zhihua smiled and didn't take it to heart.

Soon, the two arrived in the county town.

After finding a crowded spot and securing the mule cart, she and Zhihua set up a table, placing potato chips and samples on it.

In fact, Zhiyin and Zhihua attracted a lot of attention as soon as they appeared.

After all, these days, although girls are not said to be ridiculed for showing their faces in public, the people selling things on the street are almost all boys and old men, and there are very few women, especially young women like them.

Immediately, everyone couldn't resist their curiosity.

"Hey... little girl, weren't you the one who bought my chili peppers the other day? What are you doing here?"

Just then, an old man recognized his kindred spirit and immediately greeted him warmly.

Zhiyin looked in the direction of the voice and smiled at the familiar person. "I'm selling something."

I glanced at his stall again. Today he wasn't selling chili peppers, but tomatoes and some other miscellaneous vegetables.

Immediately, Zhiyin's eyes lit up. "Grandpa, how much are your tomatoes?"

"I'll sell it for one coin a pound!"

The old man said cheerfully, "I grew these myself, they're delicious! Why don't you try some before you buy?"

Zhiyin immediately waved her hand, "Give me five catties!"

"Sigh, okay, okay..."

The old man was overjoyed, looking at Zhiyin as if she were a god of wealth. At the same time, he was noncommittal about her saying that she was there to sell things, thinking that she was probably a rich girl who had come to play around.

Otherwise, why would he always be so generous?

"Let's eat a tomato first before we start drawing..."

Zhiyin casually wiped the tomato on her body and then tossed it to Zhihua.

"Sister, shall we start hawking our wares?"

Zhihua took the tomato from her hand, took a bite, and asked in confusion.

Zhiyin shook her head mysteriously, "Wait a minute."

It's still early, and Qingchuan Academy hasn't closed for the day yet!

Most of the students there are wealthy and relatively young; these are her main clients. As for the others…

Zhiyin glanced at the crowd of people walking by in a light drizzle, and saw that most of them were heading straight for the rice shop, clearly with a specific purpose in mind.

Even if we let them try it, they won't buy it; there's no need.

"oh oh…"

Zhihua nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite.

The two of them finished their meal slowly and rested in the carriage for a while until the road started to get busier.

Zhiyin then patted the iron basin, which immediately made a series of loud clanging noises. Seeing that it had attracted everyone's attention, she began to hawk her wares to Zhihua.

"Potato chips for sale... Don't miss out if you're passing by... You'll regret it for the rest of your life if you miss it! Fragrant, crispy, numbing, and spicy potato chips are here! Delicious and inexpensive, try them first before you buy, or your money back if you don't like them!"

As the two shouted, many curious onlookers gradually gathered around.

"What are potato chips? I've never heard of them before!"
