Chapter 30: Making a Wish

Minglu came back from the dock and saw the meal boxes being delivered outside the ward.

Early this morning, Ming Weiting took Luo Chi off the boat and went to the hospital for a physical examination.

This private hospital is owned by a subsidiary family of the Ming family and is reliable enough. As soon as Luo Chi was admitted to the hospital, he was immediately and carefully accommodated, underwent a detailed physical examination, and a relevant expert group was invited to discuss his condition.

Luo Chi slept soundly throughout the journey, and even when he was pushed into the MRI cabin for examination and blood tests, he did not react at all.

Ming Lu thought that Luo Chi would not wake up, so he did not ask anyone to arrange breakfast. He took the time to go out and deal with some things as instructed by Ming Weiting.

Minglu took the lunch box and knocked on the half-open door: "Sir?"

Ming Weiting was helping Luo Chi sit steadily on the sofa. He nodded and raised his hand to make a gesture.

Minglu understood, walked in quietly and opened the lunch box.

Luo Chi’s swallowing ability is still uncertain. If he chokes on liquid food, it will be dangerous. Therefore, Ming Weiting did not ask anyone to prepare porridge and soup today.

If Luo Chi could still eat, the daily nutrient solution infusion could be gradually withdrawn.

No matter what, it's always better to have less fluid infusion.

Luo Chi's situation is special. The stress response hidden deep inside his body still retains the instinct of self-preservation, and implanting a needle would be dangerous. But I have to get injections several times a day, and there are already large bruises on the back of my hands and elbows.

Ming Weiting withdrew his gaze and, as usual, greeted Luo Chi good morning and introduced himself.

Luo Chi didn't react. Ming Weiting supported him and he leaned against the sofa, but his pale neck seemed unable to bear the weight. His head drooped slightly, his eyes blankly fixed on his fingertips.

So Ming Weiting also walked there, half-knelt in front of the sofa, and looked up to meet Luo Chi's eyes.

He tried to touch the back of Luo Chi's hand gently, and found that the hand was not shaking, so he tried to hold the fingertips, and then gradually moved upwards to hold the hand resting on Luo Chi's leg.

Luo Chi did not resist. Ming Weiting held his palm and his wrist fell down softly without any effort.

Ming Weiting used a hot towel to apply to the bruises on the back of his hand.

Perhaps sensing the wet warmth on the back of his hand, Luo Chi slowly reacted. His gaze moved and he made out a blurry figure in the thick fog.

Ming Weiting looked up and waited for him, until a little focus came into those dark and empty eyes and fell on him.

"Good morning." Ming Weiting said softly, "I am Ming Weiting. I like you very much and I am chasing your star."

Ming Weiting spoke very slowly: "I have an opportunity to treat you to breakfast, is that okay? I would be honored if you agree."

Ming Lu was a little speechless. He knew that Luo Chi was not able to process such complicated information for the time being, but he still didn't want to disturb this scene. He just tried to slow down his movements as much as possible.

The breakfast in the food box was rich and exquisite. Minglu picked out small snacks of different flavors that were suitable for eating, put them on the food cart and pushed them over: "Sir, the young master still doesn't understand."

Under normal circumstances, frequent conversations would indeed be helpful, but Luo Chi couldn't hear them.

Originally trapped in absolute silence, if this silence turned into a stable, pure void without any harm or pain, even for Minglu, it would be difficult to find a reason not to stay in it with a consciousness that was already exhausted to the extreme.

Ming Weiting was very clear about this matter. He nodded, took a cushion, and gently placed Luo Chi's hand on it: "I'm practicing."

He turned around, took the chopsticks handed to him by Minglu, carefully picked up a small and exquisite shrimp dumpling on the dining cart.

When Luo Chi debuted, he also followed the procedure and introduced himself on the show about the things he liked.

Ming Weiting knew that Luo Chi was 23 years old this year and had just celebrated his birthday. He liked guitar and painting, the sea, and playing games, especially "Subway Surfers".

He knew that Luo Chi didn't like eating cake because he was allergic to egg white. I like crystal shrimp dumplings, I like to order a large table of morning tea for myself to eat all day, and I like all kinds of candies.

This information is not difficult to find at all, you can search it on the encyclopedia page.

Although the accuracy of this information cannot be confirmed with the person himself, it can at least serve as a reference to a certain extent so that you are not completely without any direction.

Ming Weiting held the shrimp dumpling and tried to touch Luo Chi's lips.

Luo Chi did not respond and continued to sit there quietly.

"I don't know if it suits your taste." Ming Weiting said, "Try it. If you don't like it, spit it out."

He said this slowly again, then realized that he had not thought it through and made his words too complicated, so he changed his words: "It's for food."

Ming Weiting explained to him: "Something you can eat."

Luo Chi's eyes looked very clear and moist at this moment, slightly suppressed by his thick and long eyelashes. Although his line of sight moved a little slowly, it still followed the increasingly specific figure in front of him.

Although the fog is still there, at least it has a landing point and is no longer as scattered as it was a few days ago.

Ming Weiting was not in a hurry and put the shrimp dumpling back for the time being.

He tilted his head to one side, trying to confirm whether Luo Chi was leaning comfortably, but he noticed out of the corner of his eye that Luo Chi also seemed to tilt his head slightly.

Ming Weiting suddenly realized something. He held Luo Chi's hand, still looking up: "Flame."

Luo Chi reacted to the name and his eyes followed slowly. This level of reaction was already very exhausting for him. His palms began to feel cold again, and a thin layer of sweat seeped out.

"Fire." Ming Weiting said, "Good night."

Luo Chi's throat moved slightly.

He had a clear reaction to follow suit, and he opened his mouth with difficulty, making a non-standard lip shape, and a sound of air flowed out.

Ming Weiting nodded in his sight, and after confirming that Luo Chi could see the range of his movements, he continued, "Good morning."

This time Luo Chi learned more smoothly than before.

Ming Weiting nodded again. He looked at Luo Chi and unconsciously reached out and touched Luo Chi's hair.

He did this subconsciously, and only realized it was inappropriate when he touched those soft short hairs. He wanted to give Luo Chi space to gradually adapt, but found that the person sitting on the sofa didn't seem to have much resistance.

Even though the warmth of the palm was pressing on the top of his head, Luo Chi's body only trembled slightly, but most of his attention was still on Ming Weiting. The eyelashes that were originally half-closed were raised, as if waiting for the other party's next move.

Ming Weiting picked up a shrimp dumpling, put it into his mouth, chewed it carefully, and made an obvious swallowing motion.

Then he waited for a while, picked up the shrimp dumpling again and handed it to Luo Chi's mouth.

The process this time was a bit complicated, and Luo Chi paused for more than ten seconds before he understood the sequence of actions.

Luo Chi bit the shrimp dumpling bit by bit, put it in his mouth and chewed it slowly. After all, eating is still an instinct of the body. Once you get started, it won't be difficult. He didn't even realize what was happening before he found that his mouth was empty while he was chewing.

Ming Weiting kept looking at him intently, and when he saw Luo Chi's somewhat confused expression, he couldn't help but smile.

He had indeed been practicing a more gentle expression these days, but it seemed that none of them were as effective as the experience he had in these few brief seconds. Everything was natural and there was nothing strange about it.

He looked at Luo Chi. The smile stayed on the corner of his mouth for a very short time, but it was still in his eyes. Then, the smile seemed to be taught to those empty eyes.

Ming Weiting looked carefully, and Luo Chi followed his gaze. He bent his eyes slightly like him, but his eyes were still empty.

Luo Chi bent his eyes quietly, his expression no longer changing.

Ming Weiting raised his empty left hand, bent his fingers, and gently touched Luo Chi's eyelashes.

Luo Chi didn't hide. He only blinked slowly when he felt the tingling at the roots of his eyelashes. Ming Weiting touched him gently back and forth a few more times. Luo Chi's blinking frequency could not keep up with his, and his breathing became a little rapid.

"Sir." Ming Lu reminded in a low voice, "The young master is not feeling well."

Ming Weiting frowned: "I know."

Ming Lu was slightly stunned. He looked at Luo Chi carefully and suddenly noticed something unusual.

Luo Chi's eyelashes were made uncomfortable, itchy and painful, and his eyes were covered with a layer of wet moisture. The moisture made his pupils appear darker and purer, and the wooden emptiness inside was more obvious.

But Luo Chi still maintained the movement he had just learned, and he remembered it very clearly.

He didn't remember how to move, how to show that he was in pain, and how to avoid hands that made him uncomfortable, but his eyes were still bent unconsciously.

Ming Weiting withdrew his hand, lowered his eyes and stood up, his eyes silently turning cold.

He suppressed those thoughts that shouldn't be associated with Luo Chi, and tore off a few tissues, testing them to see if they were soft enough before holding them in his hands.

Ming Weiting quickly walked back to the sofa and half-knelt back into Luo Chi's sight.

Luo Chi's breathing was still unstable, and his eyes were a little red because of the numbness and itchiness at the roots of his eyelashes, and physiological tears flowed down.

"I'm sorry." Ming Weiting looked into his eyes, "Huo Miao, I'm sorry."

Ming Weiting didn't know whether he was still willing to let him touch him, so he wiped away his tears gently. When Luo Chi's breathing and heartbeat stabilized again, he tried to hold Luo Chi's fingertips again.

Luo Chi's fingers did not move, and were held softly by him. Because she had a slight smile on her face, she looked very comfortable.

Ming Weiting put down his hands and clenched the soaked tissues in his hands.

"I taught wrongly." Ming Weiting said in a low voice.

Although Luo Chi's original state was chaotic and dazed, he would still have subtle reactions when he felt uncomfortable or uneasy. As long as one observed carefully, it was not difficult to distinguish them.

But Luo Chi learned too quickly, and without paying attention, he taught Luo Chi how to laugh.

Although the smile was very shallow, so faint that it could not be seen without careful observation, it still covered up all the subtle negative reactions.

He no longer knew whether Luo Chi was feeling uncomfortable.

Minglu didn't deliberately slow down his speech. He knew he was talking to him. He carried the packed lunch box over and asked, "What should I do?"

Ming Weiting turned his head and looked at the steward who had followed the Ming family for three generations.

"It's not that serious, sir." Minglu laughed. It was the first time he saw such an expression on this overly young gentleman. He put the lunch box on the coffee table closer to the sofa. "If you really feel uncomfortable at this time, you won't wake up again."

He lowered his voice so low that it couldn't be heard by Luo Chi, who was there. He just placed the information he brought back on the sofa next to Ming Weiting.

It was not difficult to obtain the surveillance records of the Ren family's private residence over the years. After all, there was a nearly insane person sorting them out in the villa. When Ren Chenbai had just finished sorting out all the records of these years while dragging his broken leg sleeplessly, he could just send someone to break in and take away all the master tapes.

Just like it is actually not difficult to make a hypocrite who is immersed in his own world, still deceiving himself and others and refusing to accept the facts and never learning to reflect insane go insane.

Since Ren Chenbai likes playing chess so much, he might as well be a chess piece in the game himself.

As long as the adopted son of the Luo family is temporarily out of contact in the hospital, the little star will naturally go to find Ren Chenbai.

Ren Chenbai, who was thrown off the dock by Minglu, had just heard the clear conclusion that "Luo Zhi is no longer in this world."

Of course Ren Chenbai could not accept the fact and would of course become hysterical and retaliate, which was what the gentle and elegant Master Ren was best at.

Ren Chenbai will bite that little star to death, and the puppet that is pushed to the extreme may not necessarily bite back.

The entanglement between these two people is not so easy to resolve. As long as anyone is related, they will be dragged in, naturally including the girl from the Luo family.

Ren Chenbai will be trapped in that villa forever.

"Time is limited, so we only reviewed a portion of the surveillance records. There is also other information."

Minglu said: "If it were someone else, they probably wouldn't be willing to wake up."

For Luo Chi, the cruise ship crash was not even a straw.

No one could stop him and force him to live. If Luo Chi really felt uncomfortable, he would not open his eyes again.

That quiet and relaxing space was always tempting the cold fire to fall asleep.

Ming Weiting didn't say anything.

"The chess is going well, sir." Minglu picked up something less depressing to say, "It's all in a mess."

Until last night, Ren Chenbai was probably still immersed in the vague comfort of "personally avenging those who hurt Luo Zhi", until Ming Lu appeared in front of him with his men.

Ren Chenbai is a smart man, he knows what Minglu’s appearance means.

This means that his hysterical revenge and vicious and satisfying vengeance were all arranged and were just a casual move by the chess player behind the scenes.

He was just a pawn who was casually sent out to sweep the floor, because these things should not have anything to do with Luo Chi. Because some retribution was due, he broke one of his legs while making his move.

This wasn't even a planned arrangement, because Mr. Ming was concentrating on learning how to be a fan of Luo Chi and had no time to do anything else, so he just circled them and bit them first.

Everything is just beginning. There are still too many things waiting behind, waiting to be carefully peeled off one by one, and the complacency that has been cultivated by consuming the blood and flesh of others over the years will be stripped away, revealing the ugly filth and dirt inside.

It's just the beginning.

Ming Weiting didn't think there was anything to say and just nodded.

He didn't rush to touch the information. He pulled the lunch box and picked around carefully.

It seemed that Luo Chi really did not resist him because of the incident of having his eyelashes messed up before, and his eyes were still on Ming Weiting.

Ming Weiting picked out a few things that were suitable for Luo Chi to eat now and were easy to chew and digest. He ate one himself to demonstrate, and after waiting for a while, Luo Chi opened his mouth as expected.

Because he always received obvious nods of approval, Luo Chi later didn't even need Ming Weiting to demonstrate, and he slowly finished a small piece of coconut milk cake by himself.

Ming Weiting always paid attention to his food intake and never let him eat too much at one time. When it was almost time, Minglu took the things away and used the same method to guide Luo Chi, reminding him how to hold clean water in his mouth to rinse his mouth.

Luo Chi's physical strength and energy were still very limited. Ming Weiting, who also sat on the sofa, held his shoulders and back. After slowly rinsing his mouth several times, he had almost used up all his strength and his eyelashes began to droop again.

Ming Weiting held his hand, and Luo Chi's body began to soften due to fatigue, and even his shoulders drooped quietly.

"Flame." Ming Weiting held his hand and let him slowly fall on him. "You have to wake up every day."

He didn't intentionally let Luo Chi see his lip movements, as these words might put pressure on Luo Chi.

He just wanted to say that he wanted to make a wish to the fire burning brightly on the beach in his memory, as if anything could be accomplished.

“Wake up every day.”

Ming Weiting said: "Say good night, say good morning."
