"Yeah?"

Ji Mushu raised her head and looked towards the mountaintop, a hint of longing flashing in her eyes, which were as clear as autumn water.

Yu Mobai keenly noticed this and said with feigned sigh, "If you're too tired, we won't go up. Let's wait for another opportunity."

"We must go."

Ji Mushu glanced at Yu Mobai secretly, then shook her head. However, she didn't mention at all that she had come up to see the sunset, and stubbornly said, "Going down now would be a waste of time."

"Oh, then you can rest for a while."

Yu Mobai put his feet together, gesturing for Ji Mushu to sit on his feet, "The ground is cold, it's easy to get diarrhea."

This was undoubtedly a big, intimate gesture, and large groups of people would occasionally walk up the mountain from the surrounding area.

Ji Mushu hesitated for a moment, then grabbed Yu Mobai's big hand and sat down.

Yu Mobai and Feng Linhao raised their eyebrows, while Feng Linhao pretended not to notice.

After resting for a while, the three continued climbing up the mountain.

Yu Mobai would mention the time every now and then, which made Ji Mushu roll her eyes several times.

Finally, before sunset, we climbed to the observation deck at the top of the mountain.

It was exactly ten minutes past sunset.

The clouds greeted the setting sun, the sky flushed red as if drunk, setting off the deepening twilight, and the evening breeze carried the coolness of autumn as the twilight deepened and the forests were tinged with color.

Fallen leaves on the mountaintop danced in the wind, and a glow reflected on the distant horizon. The afterglow of the setting sun illuminated the mountains and waters, weaving together a romantic, ever-changing scene.

Most of those who climbed up were couples or married couples.

They cheered, hugged each other, or held hands and closed their eyes.

It was just an ordinary sunset, but here it was filled with a sense of ritual, and even Yu Mobai felt a sense of excitement.

Yu Mobai looked at Ji Mushu, who had one hand clasped in front of her chest and the other hanging by her side, smiling with her lips pursed. The rosy clouds reflected on her flawless face, making her look like a celestial maiden descending to earth.

He took Ji Mushu's small hand directly, and Ji Mushu did not struggle.

Instead of closing his eyes to make a wish, Yu Mobai moved closer to Ji Mushu.

Ji Mushu seemed to have already noticed.

Her long eyelashes were trembling incessantly.

Yu Mobai chuckled and pressed his lips directly against her thin, cherry-like lips.

His large hand lifted her coat and placed it on her slender waist, feeling its amazing elasticity.

Ji Mushu seemed to be moved by the romantic atmosphere of this place as well.

She stood on tiptoe, wrapped her arms around Yu Mobai's arm, and tried her best to express the pain of missing him over the past few months.

Dusk has colors.

The sunlight shone on the two of them as if it had painted them with gold edges, making them look even more flawless.

As the sun set, the two people's shadows grew longer and longer.

The two slowly parted ways only after the last ray of light disappeared on the horizon.

Ji Mushu gave a coquettish sigh and shyly buried her head in his chest.

Feng Linhao wanted to speak from behind, but Yu Mobai glared at him and made him swallow his words.

After cuddling together for a while, Ji Mushu straightened up, her cheeks flushed, looking incredibly cute.

"Let's go, it's time to go down."

Yu Mobai gently patted her head, his face full of affection, "If we don't go back now, we'll never be able to go back."

"oh."

Ji Mushu was still reminiscing about that romantic moment, her heart pounding wildly.

As we descended from the mountaintop to the halfway point, a light drizzle began to fall.

When we got back to the car, the rain was so heavy that we couldn't see the road anymore.

The three people were sitting in the car, with the windshield wipers constantly scraping the glass.

"Mo Bai, is it safe to drive in this weather?"

Feng Linhao peered out the window for a while, thinking, "It must be very dangerous."

"It might be a little, but it's okay, I'll drive slowly."

Yu Mobai turned around, fastened his seatbelt to hide his smile. It was truly a stroke of luck; this was bringing him and the comb closer together.

"Let's go, Uncle Ji is still waiting at home." He shook his head and pressed the handbrake.

The next moment, a small, cool hand grasped his hand as he was about to shift gears. Ji Mushu said softly, "Forget it, it's too dangerous to drive in this weather. Aren't there places to stay over there? Let's stay for the night and leave tomorrow."

"What about Uncle Ji?"

Yu Mobai asked.

"I'll just call my dad."

While Ji Mushu was on the phone, Yu Mobai raised an eyebrow at Feng Linhao, his joy evident on his face.

Feng Linhao didn't know what to say.

This kind of weather is exactly what Yu Mobai needs.

Does God want these two to sleep together tonight?

Is this fate?

Feng Linhao was lost in thought when Ji Mushu hung up the phone. "Okay, it's settled."

"There's an umbrella in the car, I'll go get it."

Yu Mobai smiled and took two umbrellas out of the trunk, giving one to Feng Linhao and keeping the other for himself.

Yu Mobai opened the passenger door and held the umbrella over the passenger side.

Raindrops the size of soybeans pounded on the ground, creating a murky, smoky mess.

A gust of wind blew up the girl's soft, black hair, brushing against Yu Mobai's face, tickling him, and carrying the unique scent of shampoo from the wooden comb.

Ji Mushu's bright eyes shone even brighter in the darkness. As she listened to the thumping sound of the umbrella, a look of reminiscence flashed across her face.

Once, under the same umbrella, the two of them walked home together from school.

Back then, the two of them didn't understand anything and just felt simple happiness. They never expected to be so close now.

The two seemed to slow down, enjoying the intimate moment.

But every road has an end, and after seeing the lights in the distance, the two smiled at each other.

When they entered the hotel, Ji Mushu noticed that Yu Mobai's clothes were soaked, with water droplets running down his shoulders and arms, and dripping from his fingertips to the ground.

She felt a little touched, but she didn't say anything. She just silently walked to his other side and held his cold, large hand tightly.

Putting away his umbrella, Yu Mobai walked into the hotel.

"Hello, I'd like to book two rooms."

When the bartender saw that the person in charge had finally arrived, she concealed the excitement in her eyes and quickly said in a serious tone, "I'm sorry, sir, there's only one room left."

...
