"You two were chatting last night?"
Dong Yike turned around and looked at Ji Mushu with some surprise, "Little Sister Mushu, you actually forgave him ahead of time? Why didn't you tell me?"
Ji Mushu turned her head slightly, the sunset reflected in her eyes, making it impossible to see her expression. She simply said coldly, "You're overthinking it. I just want to pay back the money."
"Pay back the money?"
Dong Yike's eyes widened, her pink lips parted slightly, and she said in surprise, "Does he want you to pay him back for the dinner and hotel expenses on your date? Yu Mobai, you're really going too far! I didn't expect you to be so stingy!"
"That's right, you guessed it, that's exactly who I am."
Yu Mobai knew that Dong Yike was a bit eccentric, so he adjusted the rearview mirror and said with a smile in the mirror, "The wooden comb comes with interest, you know."
His words had a double meaning; Dong Yike didn't understand, but Ji Mushu did.
"Dong Yike, can't you just shut up or you'll die?"
Ji Mushu completely ignored Yu Mobai, instead glaring coldly at Dong Yike, "If you want to say something, go talk to the person next to you. Also, don't call me 'sister'!"
"Little sister, little sister~"
Dong Yike sang with a grin, "You are my little sister~"
"There's something wrong with it."
Ji Mushu snorted coldly and looked out the window again.
The setting sun shone into the car through the newly sprouted branches of the roadside trees, then quickly disappeared, casting shadows on her face and obscuring her thoughts.
Dong Yike pursed her lips, turned her body to look out of the car, and seemed lost in thought as well.
Anyway, the carriage was quiet the whole way, except for the occasional sound of Yu Mobai cursing the driver of the car in front for not knowing how to drive.
Upon arriving at the hotel, the two girls had already gone upstairs by the time Yu Mobai parked the car.
"Damn, they run really fast."
Yu Mobai cursed and hurried a few steps before squeezing into the elevator just before the doors closed.
Dong Muhong and Ji Zhigang hadn't seen their daughter for over a month, and they were very happy to see her again.
Although the two sisters didn't get along well with each other, they both had smiles on their faces when they were with their parents.
They chatted for a while, and then it got a little dark. Yu Mobai suggested going out for dinner, which was the perfect time.
Five people in a group, a small car is just the right size to squeeze into.
Yu Mobai had already made a reservation at the restaurant. He drove at a steady pace until he turned onto another street, at which point he suddenly slowed down.
"Uncle Ji, Aunt Dong, this street is one of the old building complexes in Shengjing, and it has a lot of historical charm."
He smiled and said, "You can look outside; it's especially lively at night."
Shenyang, a city with a long history, is a cultural and commercial center, a comprehensive transportation hub connecting the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to Northeast China, and an important node for the Belt and Road Initiative to extend to Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia.
It is known as "the birthplace of a dynasty and the capital of two emperors".
Therefore, quite a few tourists come here to visit.
As he spoke, Yu Mobai lowered the rear window, and a cacophony of noises erupted from outside, accompanied by the aroma of local delicacies.
"Shengjing is much better than our small county town."
Ji Zhigang sighed, "There are people everywhere along the way. If this were in a county town, there would probably be hardly anyone around after seven or eight o'clock in the evening, except for a few busy streets."
“Shengjing is, after all, the provincial capital.”
Ji Mushu said with a smile, "It just so happens that you and Aunt Dong are going back tomorrow night, so I'll take you two to see the Forbidden City this afternoon."
"Yes, Mom, Uncle Ji, besides the Forbidden City, there are also the Qing Fuling Mausoleum and the Qing Zhaoling Mausoleum, which are the mausoleums of those ancient emperors."
Dong Yike wasn't about to be outdone, saying, "We've already come all this way, we can't just rush back like this."
Ji Zhigang and Dong Muhong nodded with satisfaction. Both girls had matured a lot since starting university.
"Uncle Ji, what they said is right."
Yu Mobai nodded sincerely, "There are many fun things to do in Shengjing. After we finish eating, I'll take you to Zhongjie Street for a stroll. It's lively there."
"Drive carefully."
Ji Zhigang glanced at him, then frowned immediately. "Don't look around like that. It's dangerous, you know?"
"Dele dele".
Yu Mobai immediately shut his mouth and said nothing.
After a while...
"Hey, isn't that the store where I bought the health supplements?"
Ji Zhigang kept looking outside and soon spotted a familiar sign. This was the address of the store where Yu Mobai had bought him the boxes of health supplements.
A long line stretched out at the entrance, and even as it was getting dark, a large number of people were still queuing.
"Wow, so many people are buying it!"
Ji Zhigang sighed, "It seems this medicine is really hard to buy."
Hearing this, Ji Mushu glanced outside and then secretly looked at Yu Mobai, who was driving. Her expression immediately became complicated.
Although Yu Mobai remained silent and seemed to be focused on driving, he was actually observing Ji Zhigang and Ji Mushu's reactions the whole time.
He deliberately chose this route; although it was a bit of a detour, well...
Hehehe, just to make a deeper impression once again.
Ji Zhigang's understanding of this matter will also be refreshed.
After all, seeing is believing, and now he felt even more strongly that giving the money for the nutritional supplements to Yu Mobai was the right thing to do.
We ate dinner at a private restaurant with a nice and private atmosphere.
The main reason was that Yu Mobai ordered all the specialty dishes, and everyone enjoyed the meal.
"Mom, this dish is delicious, you should try it."
