The greedy wooden comb, seeing something delicious, squinted its narrow eyes and accepted it with great satisfaction.
Yu Mobai drove smoothly out of the school. After more than an hour's drive, just as they were about to reach the small county town, Ji Mushu suddenly said, "That rapeseed field should be in bloom by now, right?"
Yu Mobai glanced at her, then turned the steering wheel again after exiting the highway and arrived at a familiar place.
In the distance, there is a lush green rapeseed field, and the air is filled with the scent of rapeseed flowers.
After stopping the car, Ji Mushu stood beside the rapeseed field, looking at the endless rapeseed flowers, and opened her arms to feel the breeze.
Yu Mobai leaned against the car door and looked at Ji Mushu from a distance. He didn't quite understand the girls' strange action. Was this what embracing nature meant?
Actually, after spending a long time in a big city, the feeling of returning to a rural area is indescribable.
This is probably how Ji Mushu feels right now.
A gentle breeze in the fields stirred her skirt, and her hair fluttered lightly as she moved like a butterfly along the field ridges.

Many years later, Yu Mobai still remembers this action very clearly. He often talks about it, saying that it was the best way for him to witness a girl's youth in its prime.
It was already midnight when we got back to the small county town. Everyone went home and found their own mothers.
I took out my key and opened the door, but the elderly couple weren't home; the house was quiet.
Yu Mobai never takes luggage home. He went into his room, lay on the bed for a while, then sat up and looked around the room.
It was midday, and the sunlight outside was glaring. From time to time, the shouts of a group of people playing cards could be heard downstairs. Occasionally, a three-wheeled scrap metal truck would pass by, its loudspeaker playing a loop: "We recycle refrigerators and color TVs, and we collect washing machines and scrap for money."
A few kids dressed in shorts and t-shirts were playing and arguing under the shade of a tree, and you could hear them arguing seriously.
The wind chimes on the windowsill jingled in the wind. He had bought them when he was in elementary school, and they had been hanging in front of the window ever since, without showing any signs of dust.
The summer breeze was light, drifting loosely into the bedroom, bringing not coolness but a wave of heat.
However, Yu Mobai felt a rare sense of leisure in his heart.
When we were kids, everyone was scrambling to get into big cities, but now we yearn for the days when we were miserable every day.
"It's still more comfortable to stay in a small county town."
He stood at the window, gazing outside. Before leaving, he fiddled with the wind chimes one last time until they tinkled, then smiled and departed.
Normally, he would turn on the air conditioner and play computer games in the house, but today Mu Shu is back, so he has to go to Ji Zhigang's house to reconnect.
Unexpectedly, when I got to the door, I found a family standing there, carrying some gifts and about to leave.
Where are you going?
Yu Mobai asked with a grin.
"Going to my grandma's house in the countryside."
Ji Mushu looked somewhat unwilling. The main reason was that she had traveled all the way back to Shengjing from out of town early in the morning, and had just returned home without having a chance to rest before having to go back to the countryside. She was covered in sweat and felt very uncomfortable, and Ji Zhigang wouldn't even give her time to take a shower.
“Daughter, your grandma hasn’t seen you in a long time, she misses you.”
While trying to comfort his daughter, Ji Zhigang also separated Yu Mobai and Ji Mushu, saying, "You brat, go back to your own home if you have nothing to do. Why do you keep coming to my house?"
"Uncle Ji, you can't just discard someone after they've served their purpose, can you?"
Yu Mobai said matter-of-factly, "Today I personally drove the wooden comb home."
"Thank you, okay?"
Ji Zhigang waved his hand, "Alright, you can go now. We have other things to do."
Yu Mobai didn't say anything and silently followed behind downstairs.
Just as Ji Zhigang was about to drive away, Yu Mobai suddenly pulled open the back seat and sat down.
"What are you doing up here, kid?"
Ji Zhigang was filled with regret. He had just seen Yu Mobai coming through the rearview mirror, but his reaction was still a step too slow.
"I'm going to my grandma's house."
Yu Mobai said with a grin, "I know the two old people live in the same village, Uncle Ji, could you take me there?"
Ji Zhigang glanced at him in the rearview mirror and knew that once he got in the car, he wouldn't be able to get out, so he had no choice but to give up.
After more than half an hour of bumpy travel, we finally arrived in the village.
Yu Mobai rubbed his butt and complained, "Uncle Ji, next time you go out, drive that wooden comb car. The shock absorption in this car is terrible. Driving on bumpy roads is a disaster."
"Hey you little brat, I kindly brought you here, and you're still being picky."
Ji Zhigang glared at him, then urged, "Alright, hurry up and go to your grandma's house. I'll go visit her after I'm done here."
To everyone's surprise, Yu Mobai didn't move an inch. He snatched a gift box from Ji Mushu's hand and carried it himself. "Since I'm already here, I definitely have to visit Grandma Ji first. Otherwise, my grandma will definitely say I'm being disrespectful."
"you..."
Ji Zhigang was at a loss for words. This kid was too shameless, and nothing he said would work. Ji Zhigang had no choice but to let Yu Mobai follow him. Before they reached the courtyard, he repeatedly told him to pay a visit and then leave quickly.
"What's going on? Why so mysterious?"
Yu Mobai muttered something under his breath, then tugged at Ji Mushu's clothes, "Mushu, what brings you here today?"
"I don't know either, my dad didn't say."
Ji Mushu was also drenched in sweat. The air conditioning in Ji Zhigang's car wasn't working well; it was hotter than outside when the air conditioning was on, and the hot air filled the windows when they were open, making her feel even more uncomfortable.
"Look at how mysterious Uncle Ji is, I always feel like nothing good is coming from him."
