This was the first time the two of them had slept together since the chaotic scene erupted.
(This part will be covered in the Comb Side Story; this is just a heads-up.)
This is probably what they mean by "a timely rain after a long drought."
...
It was a few days later when I returned to the county town from the countryside.
Yu Mobai completely disregarded Ji Mushu's objections and dragged her all over Shengjing.
"Mo Bai, I don't want to buy a house, don't buy one for me."
Ji Mushu pouted and pitifully tugged at his arm, "I don't want to live alone."
"Then why don't you just have Hao Xinqing buy the house next door to you?"
Yu Mobai said with a smile.
"You're just talking nonsense."
Ji Mushu continued, "She's just an ordinary college student, where would she get so much money to buy that?"
"How about I buy two and rent one to her?"
Yu Mobai said, "A few days ago, Haozi called me and said that he and Hao Xinqing had made progress, and that the rent wouldn't be too much of a burden for the two of them to live together."
"What you said seems to make sense."
Ji Mushu thought for a moment, "Xinqing also mentioned it to me."
"That's right."
Yu Mobai pulled her out of the car, "Come on, this is the first one we've looked at."
Ji Mushu was reluctantly pulled into the sales office. After listening to the saleswoman's explanation for about half an hour, she went to the next property.

Yu Mobai knew that Ji Mushu also had this problem, so he put the property he wanted first.
In the end, Ji Mushu did indeed choose the first option.
The two returned to the sales office and signed the purchase contract without saying a word.
Swipe your card, sign, and get a receipt.
After a series of actions, Yu Mobai walked out the door with a grin and looked at another residential area across the street.
"What are you looking at?"
Ji Mushu also looked across the street, just like him, and asked, "Is that neighborhood across the street nice?"
"It's alright."
Yu Mobai withdrew his gaze and said with a grin, "This is better, and it's more expensive."
How did you know?
Ji Mushu asked.
"I guessed."
Yu Mobai rubbed her little head. "Let's go, back to school!"
