Yu Mobai, of course, had no idea that Yu Xinran was praising him behind his back. After hanging up the phone, he immediately started watching TV.
Hunan TV, My Fair Princess.
They are basically shown every summer and winter vacation, as well as Journey to the West. These two shows are almost always on air.
"Damn it, isn't Zhihua just ancient green tea?"
"How come I never noticed this when I was a kid? Why is Zhihua so annoying?"
"Holy crap, what kind of rubbish plot is this?"
Yu Mobai was commenting on the plot of "Princess Pearl" when the door lock clicked, and the Yu couple had returned in the afternoon.
"Come and help."
Zheng Zhaoxia spoke up, and Yu Mobai immediately jumped over the sofa and ran to the door, "Mom, did you empty out our supermarket?"
"Today is the eve of the Lunar New Year, we should buy some New Year's goods to take home."
Zheng Zhaoxia smiled and said, "I'll make you something delicious tonight."
"Mom, please keep this attitude towards me until the New Year."
"Then you should talk less and do more."
"Dele".
Yu Mobai immediately shut up and obediently took the dishes to the kitchen.
The dinner on the eve of the Lunar New Year was actually quite lively. The main thing was that there were many people setting off fireworks outside, which immediately ignited the festive atmosphere.
It was still early after dinner, and Yu Mobai watched the kids downstairs playing with firecrackers, the kind that go off when you just drop them on the ground. He felt a little itch to join in.
The sound is basically just a few small stones colliding, but it's a lot of fun for kids to play with.
Then Yu Mobai went downstairs.
However, the kids these days don't care about anything else, and they just threw it at Yu Mobai's feet right in front of him.
"Smack."
The sound wasn't loud, so Yu Mobai wasn't actually startled.
But he still walked over, sternly threatening them, "You just blew me up, you know you have to pay for it, right?"
"Who are you?"
One of the little boys, who looked about seven or eight years old, stood with his hands on his hips, sniffling loudly, and exclaimed, "My grandpa is the director of the factory!"
"Even if the director breaks the law, the police will still arrest him."
Yu Mobai snorted coldly, then took out his phone, dialed 110, and held the phone in front of the child. "Give me the firecrackers you have now, or I'll call the police and have your grandpa arrested."
The child didn't understand any of this and was easily frightened. He quickly handed the firecracker in his hand to Yu Mobai, saying, "If I give it to you, will the policeman not arrest me?"
Yu Mobai didn't answer him, but instead chuckled and started playing with firecrackers.
After finishing the box, he was still a little unsatisfied.
He's loved playing with these things since he was a child, but he didn't have the chance to play with them anymore after he grew up. Now that he's started playing with them, he really can't stop.
Just then, he saw the little boy take out another box from somewhere, so he went over and handed him the phone, pointing to the three numbers on it. The little boy pouted and gave him the firecrackers instead.
"Hey, this policeman is really effective! *smack*"
"My mom used to scare me like this when I was little, slap!"
"Clap clap clap!"
A box of firecrackers only has about seven or eight pieces, and Yu Mobai didn't even get to play with them for long before they were all gone.
He turned to look at the little boy and saw him taking two more boxes out of his pocket.
Yu Mobai thought to himself, "Kids have it tough too. I guess their pocket money is only enough to buy these four boxes of firecrackers. It would be a bit cruel to take them all away, so I'll just ask for one more box."
Unexpectedly, just as he took out his phone, the little boy burst into tears and ran back into the building with the firecracker in his hand.
"Wow, that's really stingy. It's just a few boxes of firecrackers."
Yu Mobai then looked at another kid, but that kid was more clever and turned to run away, afraid that his firecrackers would be stolen.
Honestly, I've been using a source-switching app to read and follow my favorite books lately. It offers various source switching options and different reading voices. The .huanyuanapp works on both Android and Apple devices.
He hadn't had enough fun, so he went to the trunk of the Mazda to take out a few small fireworks that Ji Mushu and the others had bought to play with.
Just as he was making his selection, he heard a little boy's voice from ahead, "Grandpa, it's him! He stole my firecrackers and is going to call the police to arrest him!"
Is this a case of parents coming to demand justice?
Yu Mobai straightened up, deliberately holding two large fireworks in his hand, and walked towards the little boy.
The old man next to the little boy was also an acquaintance; Yu Mobai had greeted him the day he returned.
"That's him, Grandpa!"
Yu Mobai ignored him and walked to the side by himself. Then he called Ji Mushu and said, "Come to the balcony and watch me set off fireworks."
"etc!"
A series of hurried footsteps sounded, and Ji Mushu said, "Let it go."
"What about winter?"
Yu Mobai looked up and saw only one figure on the balcony. "Let's call her over too."
Ji Mushu said reluctantly, "Just show it to me, why call her?"
"Hey, call her over, I'm going to let her go. It's cold outside late at night."
"knew."
Yu Mobai waited until two figures appeared on the balcony before taking out a lighter and lighting the fireworks.
Biu~ Snap!
Fireworks exploded in mid-air, and colorful starlight burst forth.
Wow, it's so beautiful.
Ji Mushu was still on the phone when she said, "I'm going down to put it down too."
"Don't come down, I'll put one down and then go up."
Yu Mobai looked at the little boy with a grin, and the little boy's eyes were full of longing.
After one firework finished, the little boy started grabbing his grandfather's trouser leg and begging, "Grandpa, I want this big firework too, buy it for me, buy it for me."
