Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a photograph.
In the photo, Yu Mobai has a full beard, greasy hair, and sits listlessly in front of the computer, looking dejected.
The ground beneath his feet was covered with cigarette butts, and the chair was so dented that it seemed he hadn't stood up in a long time.
When Ji Mushu saw this scene, her heart trembled slightly, and her eyes instantly reddened.
Once her gaze focused on him, she couldn't look away. Was this still the same Yu Mobai who always had that roguish grin?
That guy who's always bragging, talking nonsense, and acting like a chauvinist?
Tears welled up in her eyes, accumulating until they finally streamed down her cheeks like a burst dam.
She didn't want to cry.
She didn't even sob.
She just couldn't control herself.
They couldn't control their truest thoughts either.
"Wooden comb, go back."
Dong Yike parted her red lips slightly, took her hand, and said softly, "Now that he's in trouble, we can't just stand by and watch him die, can we?"
Ji Mushu didn't speak, but Dong Yike could clearly feel the trembling of her fingers.
"Let's go, I've already booked the tickets, we'll go back this afternoon."
...
Day 7.
An internet cafe near the school.
Outside, there was a lot of lively gaming noise, but inside the private room, it was very quiet.
Yu Mobai was the only one in the private room, waiting for Ji Mushu to appear.
However, twenty minutes had passed since Dong Yike told her that Ji Mushu had left the school.
There has still been no news of Ji Mushu.
Yu Mobai wondered if the wooden comb had been placed in the wrong private room.
Meanwhile, at the door of the private room.
A tall girl stood at the doorway; she had been standing there for a long time.
Her hand was on the doorknob; with just a slight turn, she could see the person inside whom she longed for and couldn't let go of.
She moved slightly and accidentally kicked the trash can next to her.
The sound made Yu Mobai inside glance at the door, then crouch down and saw a person standing outside through the crack in the door.
Yu Mobai grinned, but instead of leaving immediately, he kept his eyes open for nearly two minutes.
My eyes are dry and extremely sore.
He only opened the door when tears started flowing with the slightest blink. The moment he saw Ji Mushu standing outside, he blinked.

Tears welled up in his eyes, and Yu Mobai blinked hard to ease the soreness.
Do you cry too?
Ji Mushu looked at Yu Mobai, who looked dejected, and saw the tears that welled up in his eyes as soon as he saw her. Her expression was very complicated.
Yu Mobai didn't say anything, but suddenly pulled Ji Mushu into his arms and held her tightly with both hands without saying a word.
He let the tears fall onto Ji Mushu's fair neck, and even adjusted the angle of his tears to cover them.
"You're finally back."
