Chapter 2 I am a rare little white dragon

Nian Wanzhou quickly packed away her precious eggshell and followed the little black snake away from the stream, not afraid of being sold.

"There was an ancient legend that said it was the gentlest of all dragons, and very powerful in battle. However, it sacrificed itself to suppress some evil spirit, and no white dragon has ever appeared since."

"Let alone the White Dragon, even the shadow of a dragon is rarely seen; they've all ascended to heaven as immortals."

"Little snake, I was fortunate enough to see the most powerful black dragon in the secret realm. It was so majestic; it sent other great demons who challenged it flying with a single claw. Let me tell you, little snake, I'll be able to transform into a dragon next year, but I'm not as lucky as you, who was born a dragon."

The little black snake stared at Nian Wanzhou with gleaming eyes, practically drooling.

The little white dragon rested his chin on his hand, deep in thought: "So that's how it is. Then I'll wait for you to transform into a dragon! Hehe, you're so amazing, Uncle Snake!"

To praise means to praise someone to the skies.

The little black snake flicked its tongue sheepishly: "Hehehe, it's alright. Here, I'm just a little demon, not worth mentioning."

"By the way, where are your parents?" The little black snake was still a little curious. Why wasn't there a dragon guarding the child as it hatched?

Nian Wanzhou flicked her tail, also puzzled: "I don't know. When I hatched, I was the only one nearby, there were no other monsters." It seems that her little dragon doesn't have any parents, right?

"That's strange. The birth of a little dragon is a momentous event. How could it be that no parents are there to watch over it? You know, dragons rarely get pregnant, let alone lay eggs..." The little black snake was quite talkative and told the little dragon everything.

"Could someone's eggs have been stolen? That's impossible. There are only a few dragons in the secret realm, and they're all males, so they can't lay eggs. No dragons have awakened recently either. Let's get out of here..."

Nian Wanzhou chimed in, "That's right! I've been hatched for a day now, and no one has come looking for me. It's so strange!"

The snake and the dragon chatted back and forth, discussing which dragon had abandoned the egg, or which bad guy had stolen it and scattered it everywhere.

Neither of the two fools realized that this dragon egg was a peculiar existence born from heaven and earth.

There's no way around it; one of them doesn't have enough brain capacity, and the other genuinely doesn't understand these things.

The little black snake was a little worried about this dragon cub who was even more naive than itself. How could it not understand anything? It said with pity, "Why don't you come with me? It's better than wandering around alone as a dragon, which is not safe."

Nian Wanzhou had the same idea: "Okay, thank you, Uncle Snake!"

Just when I was worried about how to survive, I thought about whether I should pretend to be pitiful and ask the little black snake to take me with me. I never expected that the little black snake would be so kind.

She was so touched.

The little black snake turned around and saw the dragon cub with teary eyes, and felt even more sorry for the cub.

The poor little dragon cub was abandoned as soon as it hatched. What heartless parents would treat such a child like this? The little black snake tenderly stroked the dragon cub's head with its tiny tail, yet dared not take the cub to search for its relatives.

If the dragon cub were to provoke those powerful demons, it would likely be devoured on the spot, as dragons possess a bloodline that suppresses other demons.

If a powerful demon were to devour a small dragon, it would likely increase its cultivation level, become more powerful, and be able to suppress other demons.

The little dragon cub in front of me was sleeping soundly in its eggshell, completely unsuspecting. I don't know whether to call it carefree or optimistic. Anyway, let's leave it at that for now.

...

In the days that followed, Nian Wanzhou lived with the little black snake, wandering around, looking like a black and white duo.

When Nian Wanzhou arrived in the New World, she was overjoyed. Before, she could only stay in the hospital and couldn't have fun like a normal person. Now that she was a healthy dragon, she was determined to live life to the fullest.

Adhering to the principle of living a joyful life, the old boat can go anywhere, from the sky to the earth, and is capable of anything.

They want to try everything that tastes good, and they've learned their first skill for self-reliance: catching small animals and grilling meat.

It looks cruel, but she was hungry.

This was the first time the little black snake had ever seen a monster so hungry, like it hadn't eaten in eight lifetimes, eating anything and everything! It could eat an incredible amount!

They are picky about meat, only eating grilled meat and never eating raw meat.

Little Black Snake: "Do all dragons have different quirks? I once heard that there was a dragon that only ate human delicacies and would go out for a big meal every year before returning to its lair to sleep."

Nian Wanzhou was eager to try: "Is there really such a good thing? Can I go out to eat?"

Little Black Snake: ...I shouldn't have mentioned it!

"You're just a little brat now, where can you go? Going to the human world? Be careful you don't get mistaken for an evil monster and get killed."

Upon hearing that she would be wiped out, Nian Wanzhou, who valued her life above all else, immediately stopped talking, her ears drooping in utter disappointment: "Fine then, I can learn it myself, hmph!"

She acted immediately. Having once lived a healthy life, Nian Wanzhou had cooked before, as her mother was a very good cook.

In her spare time, she would learn to cook so that her mother and father could rest, while she cooked for them and did housework. She's such a good girl!

The food turned out alright, but the little black snake thought it was the most delicious thing in the demon realm: "Wow, you're self-taught! I've never eaten anything so delicious before, how did you make it?"

"Uh..." This stumped Nian Xiaobailong. How could he explain it? "Heavenly secrets cannot be revealed!"

Just give them a quick bluff.

"Such a good thing? Tsk tsk, you really are special. I, the little snake, have struck gold!" The little black snake ate its delicious food enthusiastically, praising Nian Wanzhou enthusiastically.

The dragon and the snake lived together for a year, making a name for themselves in the Clear Lake Secret Realm.

"Hey, have you ever seen that little white dragon in the dense forest? Her cooking smells amazing."

"What? A white dragon? That can't be real. When have dragons ever had offspring, especially a white dragon? You're kidding me."

"Who would lie to you? It's true. I even saw the little black snake with her last time. It's the little black snake that's about to transform into a dragon."

"Him? By the way, did he succeed?"

"It seems that he's been spending too much time with that little white dragon and is about to transform into a dragon. It should happen in the next few days."

"I'm so envious... Hey hey hey, the dragon's coming! Quick, hide!"

The little demons were still discussing when they suddenly scattered and hid, as if some important figure had appeared.
