Chapter 8 Slapping in the Face, Part 2

Le Xi had sensed the oppressive aura of bloodline suppression at the foot of the mountain and hurriedly went down the mountain to check.

The result, however, was:

A little girl effortlessly held up a spirit stone larger than herself, confronting two disciples of the sect with great imposing presence and fierceness.

"What exactly happened? How can outsiders be allowed to touch the sect's testing spirit stones so easily!" Le Xi frowned and asked the head disciple in charge.

The disciple bowed his head and said, "Reporting to Senior Brother Yue, I am not entirely clear about the details of the matter. However, when I arrived, I did see that little girl take the spirit stones first."

As for the rest, I really don't know much about it.

The eldest disciple also gave a truthful explanation, without any deception, but there was an element of cover-up involved.

After all, on one side are fellow disciples, and on the other side are outsiders who failed the test. No matter how fair you are, you can't help but favor your own people.

"How did you do your job?" Le Xi shouted angrily. If you're biased, at least find out what happened, okay?

They're lying through their teeth. Even a child could snatch spirit stones from their hands. What a bunch of useless trash. "Young man, please put down the spirit stones in your hand. After all, spirit stones can only be activated and used through the sect's special methods."

"Regardless of the circumstances, let's test it again before drawing any conclusions. We can't wrong innocent people. If it's my junior brothers and sisters' fault, as their senior brother in the sect, I will definitely punish them severely."

Although Le Xi did not believe Nian Wanzhou and his companion, he saw Elder Yuheng hiding in the shadows, about to make a move.

Thinking of the unique bloodline suppression in Nian Wanzhou, he wanted to continue investigating.

"Senior Brother Yue, they're deliberately trying to gain sympathy and provoke us. How can we give them another chance?" a young disciple said indignantly.

"Provocation?" Le Xi sneered, "Do you really think everyone is blind? Does your sect have no rules?"

He wasn't mistaken; the female disciple clearly still had a fake spirit stone in her hand. How dare she tamper with the sect's test? She'd forgotten all the sect's rules.

The disciple whispered, "We're just... Brother Yue..."

Another female disciple was already pale, and anyone with eyes could tell what had happened.

Unexpectedly, Yuheng appeared at this moment, asking, "What's going on?"

Le Xi stepped forward and bowed: "Elder Yuheng, a dispute has arisen between some outer disciples and those who came to take the test. This disciple is upholding justice."

Le Xi had no intention of hiding anything. She briefly summarized what she knew. Ren Yuheng had been watching all along, so he didn't need to lie or take sides.

"I understand. Let's test them first." Yuheng didn't seem angry at all. Instead, he calmly told people to continue what they were doing. "After the test, we'll know who's right and who's wrong. Hurry up, there are still many people waiting."

Instead of hindering it, they supported and urged the testing process forward.

The crowd couldn't fathom the elder's cultivation level; they only felt that the elder was unfathomable and not to be trifled with. No one dared to mention Nian Wanzhou and the others' attempt to gain sympathy again.

"Little girl, put that thing down, don't hurt yourself, sweetie~" Yuheng changed his cold and aloof demeanor and became a loving father to his little girl, coaxing her to put down the stone.

Nian Wanzhou put down her phone after hearing this, muttering with some dissatisfaction, "I really believed your nonsense, I was wronged as soon as I arrived..."

He casually tossed the spirit stone on the ground and waited for further instructions.

Le Xi's gaze lingered on Nian Wanzhou for a moment; it seemed they were related.

He then used his spiritual power to activate the spirit stone and coldly asked Nian Wanzhou and the other person, "Which of you will go first?"

The boat was still floating in the air when Nian Wanzhou stepped forward: "I'll go first."

Nan Yu's second test resulted in a rapid reaction from the spirit stone.

"Three spiritual roots, with the primary being the wood spiritual root, indicating a body of Yi wood." The eldest disciple's voice rang out, surprising everyone around.

With the constitution of Yi Wood, wouldn't that make him a prodigy in alchemy? Even with only three spiritual roots, that's still quite a remarkable talent.

Everyone looked at the two disciples with strange expressions.

Now, everyone probably knows who is right and who is wrong.

Nian Wanzhou didn't seem to care about making things worse. They were the ones who were wronged, so why should they let those who bullied them get away with it? It's not gentlemanly to leave things unpunished; it's best to retaliate on the spot.

"So this is the fairest Tianji Sect after all." Nian Wanzhou emphasized the word "fair" and turned to look at the female disciple, making the three outer disciples blush even more.

"My turn!" Nian Wanzhou was eager to try. She had already embarrassed herself, so it was time to play with this spirit stone!

Then, following Nan Yu's method, she placed her hand on the spirit stone, and a gentle power surged into her body, seemingly traveling around for a long time, which felt quite comfortable.

The power felt somewhat familiar, and seemed to be related to the Dao of Heaven.

Immediately, the spirit stone emitted a dazzling golden light, and everyone present blocked their eyes to block the light.

Then came the joyful sounds of birds and beasts all around, chirping and chattering around Nian Wanzhou.

As the light faded, the group of people stared in disbelief. What an extraordinary phenomenon! How could a mere child have caused such a thing? Just who is she?!

"Four spiritual roots, with the primary earth spiritual root, is... my God, it's the body of a true dragon and the body of an immortal spirit!" the eldest disciple suddenly shouted.

The scene erupted in uproar...

A true dragon's body, a celestial spirit's body... what kind of monster is this?

The most powerful one was the senior sister from two hundred years ago, who had a sword spirit body and five spiritual roots.

There is also the true dragon body of a sect elder from a thousand years ago.

This...this celestial being has truly been born!

"Who?! Who is it?! Who exactly is this Immortal Spirit Body?!" A group of elders rushed over, followed by the sect leader who hadn't appeared for hundreds of years!!

Yuheng swiftly pulled the frightened Nian Wanzhou behind him.

Nian Wanzhou also scurried under Yuheng's sleeve with a "snap," trembling, and roared inwardly, "My God, how can these cultivators be so terrifying? Waaah... I'm so scared, what kind of immortal spirit body is this? Mom, help me!"

"Yuheng?!" The five elders were filled with envy as they saw Yuheng protecting the little dumpling behind him like a mother hen protecting her own.

Isn't it obvious that the Immortal Spirit Body is the child he picked up—no, the little dragon cub?

How could he have gotten such a great deal!

The elders are furious!

The sect leader, who arrived later, almost lost control and knocked a group of elders flying. After barely regaining his balance, he coughed lightly and said, "Ahem, Lexi, which young friend possesses this Immortal Spirit Body?"

The people taking the test below were in an uproar:

"Sect Master? It's the Sect Master!"

"The sect leader of the Heavenly Mystery Sect has actually shown up! He hasn't appeared for hundreds of years, but today he actually did!?"

"My God, who exactly is that little brat?"

"That's not a human! That's the body of a true dragon, a dragon! A dragon that hasn't appeared for a thousand years, and it's even a dragon cub!"

"What on earth is a Celestial Body?"

"My God, this is going to be a windfall!"
