Chapter 93 Lin Family Laboratory 1

Chapter 93 Lin Family Laboratory 1

Ye Heng's steps were terrifyingly steady, and every step he took on the ground was like a heavy hammer hitting the one-eyed man's heart.

The murderous vines flooded over the crowd like a tide.

Some vines turned into sharp thorns that pressed against the pirates' throats, while others twisted into giant hands, pressing the most resistant leaders to the ground.

But in a moment, the only sounds in the square were groans. All the pirates were controlled so tightly that they could hardly move a finger.

The one-eyed man looked at Ye Heng who was approaching step by step, his brass prosthetic eye spinning wildly, and his only remaining right eye was bloodshot with fear.

He stumbled back, his lower back hitting the armrest of the chair before he could stand still. His voice was trembling:

"You... What on earth do you want to do! I'm the boss of Blackfish Star. Killing me won't do you any good!"

Ye Heng didn't say anything until they were less than three meters apart, then he stopped.

The light from the bonfire danced in his eyes, reflecting a cold pond without any temperature.

The one-eyed man's gaze suddenly fixed on Ye Heng's dark green eyes, then abruptly turned to Mo Yun's iconic dark green scales, and a strange hoarse sound came from his throat:

"You... your eyes... you are... Ye Heng?!"

This name was like a thunderclap that struck the square, and the pirates who were tied up and hung up were immediately in an uproar.

Everyone knows that Ye Heng is the Imperial Marshal and the nightmare of the space pirates.

The one-eyed man seemed to have grasped a life-saving straw and suddenly laughed wildly:

"I was wondering why you looked so familiar! Ye Heng! You are the son-in-law of the Lin family!

I'm working with the Lin family! I'm helping them manage their business on Blackfish Star. You can't kill me!

We are family, and we will be laughed at if we kill each other!"

Before he finished speaking, a shadow flashed by.

With a crisp "snap" sound, the vine with barbs thrown out by Lin Yao hit the one-eyed man's face hard.

Bloodstains instantly appeared on his scarred face, and his brass prosthetic eye was crooked.

"One of our own?" Lin Yao's voice was as cold as ice. "Are you worthy?"

Before Duyan could react from the severe pain, Ye Heng had already approached him.

A cold light flashed, and the short blade pierced his thigh accurately. The dull sound of piercing the bone made the surrounding pirates gasp.

“Ah——!” The one-eyed man screamed and collapsed to the ground, his clothes instantly soaked with cold sweat.

Ye Heng squatted down, grabbed his hair, and forced him to look up at himself.

The blade stirred gently in the wound, and the voice was terrifyingly calm: "First of all, I have never been a member of the Lin family."

"Secondly," his eyes suddenly became fierce, "if I hear those two words again, I will cut out your tongue."

The one-eyed man was twitching all over with pain. Looking at the undisguised murderous intent in Ye Heng's eyes, he finally realized that he had hit a wall.

These two people were here to take my life from the beginning. He nodded hurriedly, blood foam gushing from the corner of his mouth:

"I won't tell you! I won't tell you! Let me go! Please let me go!"

"Let you go?" Ye Heng chuckled, his laughter carrying a chill that penetrated the bones.

"About the Red Spaceship," Ye Heng said calmly, pulling out his knife. "Did you stage this yourself?"

The one-eyed man screamed in pain and trembled all over, but when he met Ye Heng's cold gaze,

All movements froze in an instant, and the hope in my heart collapsed.

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something in defense.

But when he saw the short blade with a cold glow in Ye Heng's hand, he swallowed his words back.

His instinct for survival made him disregard his dignity. He nodded repeatedly, his voice trembling:

"Yes, it was me... I directed and acted in it myself."

As soon as these words came out, some of the pirates who were hanging there started cursing him as an old thief.

"Speak clearly." Ye Heng's blade moved a little closer, and the cold touch made the one-eyed man shiver.

"I, I can't help it..."

The one-eyed man had a sad face and began to make incoherent excuses.

"I was the one who killed all of Old Scar's family, leaving no one alive!

But the ten-year deadline is up, and there are always people muttering about the rotation.

They said I'd been the boss for too long!"

He covered the wound on his thigh, his face pale, his eyes evasive, not daring to look at Ye Heng:

"I just want to find a reason to consolidate my position.

The guy who drives the red spaceship was found in the slums.

He was given some money and asked to pretend to be Lao Ba's second son.

He originally wanted to put on a show to scare those dishonest guys, but who knew his skills were not up to par."

"Your skills aren't up to par?" Ye Heng became even angrier after hearing this explanation. He grabbed One-Eye's collar with both hands and lifted him up.

"With such a dense counterattack, you're telling me you're not skilled enough?

As far as I know, that person has won the underground casino spaceship competition for three consecutive quarters."

Ye Heng threw him down with great force:

"Is it a lack of skills or murder to silence witnesses?

I thought the answer came when you sent someone to his house to kill his sister, right?"

"You really understand that you have to uproot the grass." Lin Yao's voice came from the side, with suppressed anger.

He twisted several vines in his hands into a long whip, and the tip of the whip lightly scratched the ground, making a harsh sound.

The one-eyed man's eyes flickered, and he stammered, "I didn't expect it to be like this..."

"There are so many things you haven't thought of."

Ye Heng snorted coldly, put a little force on his foot, and stepped on Duyan's injured thigh, causing him to scream in pain.

"You're worthy of being the boss, using the lives of innocent people to pave the way?"

The one-eyed man was shaking with pain, but he didn't dare to resist at all. He just kept begging for mercy:

"Brother Ye! I know I was wrong! I really know I was wrong!

If you let me go this time, I will give you all my property.

I will leave Blackfish Star immediately and never come back!"

Ye Heng ignored his pleas for mercy and looked at him as if he were a dead object.

He slowly raised the short blade in his hand, and the blade flashed with deadly light in the firelight.

"Wrong?" Ye Heng raised his eyebrows and said in a playful tone, "It's too late."

The cold light of the short blade continued to grow in the pupil of the one-eyed man, and the shadow of death engulfed him like a tide.

He looked at Ye Heng's eyes that didn't waver at all.

Suddenly, a strong desire to survive erupted, and he screamed as if grasping at the last straw:

"Wait! I have a secret to tell you! I have a secret to tell you! A secret that will be useful to you!"

Ye Heng paused, the blade stopping only an inch away from One-Eye's throat.

He raised his eyebrows and looked at the person on the ground, with a hint of sarcasm in his eyes:

"Oh? Do you think there's any secret that can save your life now?"

"Lin family!" The one-eyed man gasped rapidly, and his brass prosthetic eye emitted a crackling sound of electricity due to excitement.

"I know you don't like the Lin family! You hate them, don't you?"

Ye Heng's eyes grew colder, and he remained silent.

Seeing this, the one-eyed man quickly raised the stakes: "I know that the Lin family has a secret base for experiments on Black Fish Star!"

He eagerly grabbed Ye Heng's trouser legs, as if he was afraid that he wouldn't listen:

"I can take you there! As long as you let me live. The Lin family plotted against you, don't you want to take revenge?"

Lin Yao frowned and looked at Ye Heng.

This news came too suddenly, and it was hard to tell whether it was true or not, but if it was true, it would indeed be an important bargaining chip to bring down the Lin family.

Ye Heng stared at the one-eyed man for a full half minute, until the man's face turned even paler, then he slowly retracted the short blade.

But his foot still stepped on the one-eyed man's injured leg, and his strength did not decrease at all:

"You'd better tell the truth."

The one-eyed man nodded repeatedly as if he had been pardoned.

"It's true! It's all true! How dare I lie to you!

Didn’t I tell you that I help them run their business on Blackfish Star? Believe me! "

Ye Heng snorted coldly and finally moved his foot away.

He winked at Lin Yao, signaling him to keep an eye on the One-Eye Man, and then he turned and walked towards the hanging pirates.

Mo Yun followed closely behind, his huge body leaving deep marks on the ground.

Lin Yao understood and controlled the murderous vines to tie the one-eyed man tightly to the chair. The barbs of the vines gently pierced his skin, and if there was the slightest movement, they would immediately tighten and release poison.

"Don't play tricks." Lin Yao's voice was as cold as ice. "Otherwise, I will let you know what it means to live a life worse than death."

The one-eyed man shrank his neck in fear and dared not make any movement anymore.

He knew that his life was temporarily saved, but what he would face next might be something more terrifying than death.

-

Ye Heng came back from where the pirates were hanging. He told Lin Yao and the others that Duyan was indeed helping the Lin family, but what they saw was just superficial work.

"So, he really found a reason to survive temporarily." Lin Yao glanced at the one-eyed man who was tied tightly on the chair.

"It's time to wrap it up." Ye Heng said this and exchanged a glance with Lin Yao.

Lin Yao raised his hand to signal, and Shasha untied the pirates without hesitation, and they fell to the ground like dumplings.

The cries of people getting hurt from falling came one after another.

"Those close to the One-Eye should stand on the left, and the rest should stand on the right." Lin Yao's voice spread through his mental power, carrying an unquestionable pressure.

The pirates looked at each other in bewilderment. Under the threat of Mo Yun's tongue, no one dared to disobey, and they all separated from the team tremblingly.

There were obviously fewer people on the left, but all of them had fierce looks on their faces. They were all thugs who had been following One-Eye for years.

On the right side are mostly minions, who are already scared out of their wits. Occasionally, a few people who look like management will appear.

Lin Yao's gaze swept across the group of people on the right, and finally fell on a thin space pirate wearing an oil-stained jacket.

The space pirate was hiding behind the crowd, his hands tightly twisting the corners of his clothes, his eyes dodging.

"You, come out." Lin Yao raised his chin, his voice calm but with irresistible power.

The skinny star pirate froze, standing there in a daze as if he had been cast into a spell.

It was not until a thin vine of Shasha hovered and pointed at him that he moved out of the crowd tremblingly, his knees shaking like sieves.

"Look at the people around you," Lin Yao gestured for him to look at the queue on the right.

"Is there any one-eyed confidant among them? Identify him."

The skinny star pirate's face turned pale instantly. He quickly glanced at the people in the queue.

His gaze paused on a middle-aged man in a gray uniform and with a beer belly, then quickly shifted away.

But this subtle movement did not escape Lin Yao's eyes.

"He... he is..." The thin star pirate's voice was as thin as a mosquito, and his fingers trembled as he pointed at another middle-aged man.

"What the hell are you talking about!"

The middle-aged man suddenly jumped out, pointed at the skinny pirate's nose and cursed, "I'm just a warehouse keeper, when did I become One-Eye's trusted confidant?

I think you are the spy planted by One-Eye! Are you trying to slander me to save my life? "

"I didn't!" The skinny star thief was so anxious that his face turned red and his voice was filled with tears.

"Last time, I saw you secretly talking with One-Eye's second-in-command in the back of the warehouse. He even stuffed a black box into your hand! You are definitely his!"

"Bullshit!" The middle-aged man was so angry that his face turned red. He rolled up his sleeves and was about to rush forward, but was stopped by the vines that Shasha stretched out in time.

The two of them started arguing with each other, spit flying everywhere, attracting the attention of the surrounding pirates.

Lin Yao watched them arguing quietly, with no expression on his face.

After a moment, he signaled Shasha to take action.

The thin vine wrapped around the one-eyed man's neck suddenly tightened, and the barbs pierced into his skin fiercely, injecting a strong poison instantly.

The one-eyed man screamed like a pig being slaughtered, his body twitched violently, veins bulged on his forehead, and beads of sweat the size of beans rolled down.

The quarrel stopped abruptly, and everyone's attention was drawn to the miserable condition of the One-Eye, including the two arguing pirates, whose faces showed a look of horror.

Lin Yao slowly walked up to the one-eyed man, looking down at him writhing in pain on the ground, his voice as cold as a knife:

“I told you, don’t play tricks.

If you cooperate honestly, you might suffer less.

Otherwise, I will let you know what it means to live a life worse than death."

The one-eyed man was in so much pain that he couldn't even speak. He could only make gasping sounds, and his brass prosthetic eye was flashing with a chaotic red light because of the pain.

Lin Yao ignored him and turned to look at the two dazed pirates, a sinister smile on his face.

"Now, which of you two is One-Eye's subordinate? Or is there someone else? Think it over before you speak. My patience is limited."

The deadly vines crawled around their feet, and the barbs rubbed against the ground, making a crackling sound, as if silently urging them to go.

The middle-aged man in the gray uniform looked pale, and looked in the direction of the one-eyed man in panic, then quickly looked away.

The skinny star pirate shrank his neck and lowered his head, as if there was money on the ground to pick up.

The square fell into silence again, with only the suppressed cries of pain from the one-eyed man and the rustling sound of vines moving.

Everyone knows that the next answer will determine the direction of things.

But there was no sound for a long time.

At this moment, a voice suddenly rang out from the queue on the right: "I know!"

Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw a bearded pirate take half a step forward.

He was a burly man with a scar on his face that extended from his brow to his chin, making him look quite brave.

He did not shrink back like the others, but instead straightened his back and looked directly at Lin Yao.

"Oh? What do you know?" Lin Yao raised his eyebrows and looked at him, a hint of interest flashing in his eyes.

The bearded pirate first pointed at the middle-aged man with a beer belly in the crowd:

"His name is Fatty. Ostensibly he's in charge of the warehouse, but in reality he's One-Eye's trusted confidant. He's specifically responsible for guarding One-Eye's private collection, including those stolen goods and weapons that must be hidden from public view."

Then, he pointed at the skinny pirate and the middle-aged man arguing with him:

"These two are also one-eyed. The thin one is called Haozi, and he is a spy planted by One-Eye among the lower-level space pirates, specializing in gathering information.

The other one is called Li Laosi, who appears to be an ordinary steward, but is actually the confidant of One-Eyed Second-in-Command, responsible for handling some dirty work that is not convenient to be made public."

He spoke it all in one breath, clearly and without hesitation.

The faces of the three people who were accused turned pale instantly. The fat man wanted to argue, but was interrupted coldly by the bearded star pirate:

"Last month, you helped One-Eye transfer a batch of energy crystals that were looted from a merchant ship and hid them in the abandoned Warehouse No. 3. No one except One-Eye's confidants knew about this, right?"

The fat man's words were stuck in his throat and he could no longer speak. He could only look at the bearded star pirate in horror.

Haozi and Li Laosi also looked ashen, knowing that their identities had been exposed and it was useless to argue.

Lin Yao looked at the three people who were pointed out with amusement, and the smile on his lips deepened.

He didn't deal with the three immediately, but instead turned his gaze to the bearded pirate and asked slowly, "Who are you then?"

The bearded pirate smiled bitterly and clasped his fists, saying:

"I'm Erniao, and I used to be Vulture's subordinate.

After Vulture was swallowed up by One-Eye, I have been lurking in his forces, looking for an opportunity to avenge my brothers."

He paused, a trace of hatred flashed in his eyes:

"One-Eye is cruel and ruthless. Not only did he annex our territory, he also killed many of our brothers.

I've wanted to get rid of him for a long time, but I never found the opportunity.

What you two did today is truly gratifying!"

After listening to this, Lin Yao nodded thoughtfully.

He looked at the two birds, and there was no fear in his eyes, but instead a determination to go all out.

"I'll trust you for once." Lin Yao said calmly.

"Kill, kill, drive these three people over."

The vines responded immediately, whipping Fatty, Haozi, and Li Laosi to the left.

The two birds watched this scene, a hint of pleasure flashed in their eyes, and then they regained their composure, standing quietly in place, waiting for Lin Yao's decision.
