In the northern center, outside of Polar Night University, the elimination plan, a joint operation by the southern vanguard and the northern main force, has come to an end.
The battlefield is littered with numerous damaged mechanical artifacts, all of which suggests that the Demon Blood Alliance's battles are primarily a clash between machines and humans.
The instigator was a professor named Fritz Kappel.
He was a brilliant scientist who defected from the University of Polar Night a long time ago. Unfortunately, the mecha craze we see today didn't take off back then, and his original idea was deus ex machina.
In those years, scientists mainly focused their research on space wormholes and faster-than-light engines. The former has evolved into the space channels we see today, with dedicated teleportation centers throughout the country. These are absolute national treasures, allowing troops to reach each other in the blink of an eye.
This was also an important factor that enabled the Dragon Kingdom to gradually stabilize and develop rapidly later on.
The other one was a faster-than-light engine. At the time, people thought that since our science and technology were so advanced, could we build a spaceship that could withstand space jumps and leave Earth?
The idea was good, but unfortunately the result was not as expected.
Because there is also abnormal energy surrounding Blue Star, it is impossible to escape from Blue Star by jumping.
Therefore, this project, which shared the same name as the space wormhole, had to be hastily concluded.
Professor Fritz Kappel was one of the ten professors who spearheaded the faster-than-light engine project.
However, this project was completely unknown and died during a military experiment; nobody knew about it.
Until the demons invaded the Northern Region, he disappeared at Polar Night University, taking with him a large amount of research data on the faster-than-light engine, which thoroughly enraged the Northern Region Military Region at the time.
His family collapsed overnight, and all his friends and confidants were imprisoned, completely unaware of Professor Capel's defection.
After many years, they saw Professor Capel's new creation again, a technological beast that resembled a monster!
Furthermore, the commander of the mech army also saw the lower level of the faster-than-light engine, the sub-light-speed engine!
However, such a new yet outdated technology is rarely learned and used in the Dragon Kingdom. The only person who can use it so perfectly and extensively on mechanical beasts is this defector, Professor Capel!
"Report the casualty figures!"
"The first battalion has suffered more than half its losses!"
"The Second Battalion is taking statistics!"
"We can't get in touch with the officers of the Third Battalion."
"..."
After the reports from the various military units below reached headquarters, everyone fell silent upon seeing the final report of the battle.
Roughly estimated, the Demon Blood Alliance suffered over 3,000 deaths, destroyed 120,000 automated mechs and mechanical beasts, lost 100 air fleets, and suffered the loss of over 1,000 firepower turrets and other equipment.
The death toll in the southern and northern regions is nearly 20,000, most of whom were four-star ability users...
"Enough! Stop reporting!"
The war zone commander was furious. This was only the main battlefield; there were also separate battlefields involving black mages and those evil scientists that had not been counted.
In just two days, they finally won against the opponent's relentless fighting style!
Was this battle won? And how should it be defined?
They prevented the enemy from directly destroying the Northern Region, but suffered heavy losses. The enemy consumed cold, impersonal machines, while they consumed living, breathing humans!
If the main battlefield is like this, what about the two secondary battlefields next door?
Most importantly, the enemy is a group of machines, so there is no need to deliberately form a formation. Just charge to the front line and fight to the death. If the machine is severely damaged, just activate the backup hidden energy!
Even though everyone is a superhuman, they can't withstand a series of multiple self-destruct attacks.
A large number of soldiers were killed in this attack.
"Report! Urgent news! An S-class anomalous descent flame has been unleashed upon the Northern Central Technology Capital!"
"What!?"
The war zone commander was astonished as he projected the holographic screen onto the technological capital.
The place had become a sea of fire!
When did this happen?
"It's a brand new shielding technology. The Demon Blood Alliance came prepared. We were too eager to catch up and ended up being outmaneuvered. This happened half a day ago, but we only just received the news."
The chief of staff then realized that the soldiers had been beaten up in a confused manner and were all holding their breath. Who would be thinking about the rear when they were in pursuit?
"Damn it, send a message to Zhongzhou and ask them to send some eight-star ability users over to help."
Most of the top-tier ability users in the Northern Region are currently engaged in a standoff with the demons at the border; we can't afford to lose sight of the bigger picture!
Only the Dragon Kingdom Military Region knows how dire the current border situation is; it's not just a tense standoff, it's a scene of swords drawn.
Small-scale conflicts have occurred many times before, and not long ago, a full-scale war almost broke out prematurely. Fortunately, due to insufficient preparation on both sides, the situation did not escalate further. This is why the Northern Military Region agreed to the Southern Military Region's actions.
To repel external threats, one must first secure internal stability.
The Ordinary Organization intended to launch a surprise attack while the battle was raging, but the students inadvertently discovered their plan beforehand. The Northern Region even wanted to reward the students, but not now, because at the same time, the Demon Blood Alliance also made its move.
Although the Demon Blood Alliance has become a shield for the Ordinary Organization, it is undeniable that they can open up three battlefields at the same time to counterattack them. This alone is enough to prove that the Demon Blood Alliance has ill intentions!
Are we not going to deal with them now, and then let them stab us in the back when we go to war with the monsters and demons?
