Chapter 17 - Bloodstained Guixu (Part 2)

Chapter 17 - Bloodstained Guixu (Part 2)

At the moment when Su Tangzhongbi fell, his figure burning with evil flames finally arrived!

He saw the small body in Xie Zhao's arms rapidly losing color and vitality.

He saw the twisted expression on Xie Zhao's face, a mixture of pain, anger, disbelief and deep self-blame.

He saw that Shadow Killer was about to merge back into the shadows after his successful attack...

An indescribable, soul-freezing murderous intent, like a physical cold wave, erupted with Chu Linyuan as the center!

During this period of time, he had already regarded this timid but kind-hearted junior sister as a family member.

Boom——!!!

The dark evil aura swirling around him was no longer mist, but had transformed into a blazing, nearly solidified black icy flame! The dragon pattern on his right arm completely burned, emitting a deafening dragon roar! An ancient, ferocious, and seemingly ancient dragon evil power far beyond the Nascent Soul stage surged out uncontrollably!

"You! Are! Looking! For! Death!"

These three words, like a death knell frozen in the Nine Netherworld ice, sounded in the hearts of every Silver Lock Guard!

Chu Linyuan didn't even look at the Shadow Killing Guard. He just stretched out his hand in the direction of the Shadow Killing Guard.

Open your five fingers, then clench them suddenly!

"Eternal Frozen Territory!"

With Shadow Killer at the center, the space within a ten-foot radius instantly solidified! The air, the evil rain, the light... everything was frozen into a deep, despairing darkness! The Shadow Killer maintained his posture, blending into the shadows, along with the horror on his face, forever frozen in that absolute darkness and deathly silence! Even the fluctuations of his soul were completely annihilated!

Absolute, silent instant kill!

This scene caused the frantic attacking Commander Zhan Ge and all the Silver Lock Guards to freeze for a moment! For the first time, horror flashed in their eyes!

Chu Linyuan didn't even glance at the frozen darkness; his figure instantly appeared beside Xie Zhao. His cold gaze swept across Su Tang's pale face and the dagger on her shoulder, which exuded an aura of extinction. The rage and murderous intent surging in his eyes almost became tangible!

"Brother! Save her!" Xie Zhao's voice was filled with tears and requests for help. He hugged Su Tang tightly, trying to use his chaotic talisman power to suppress the dagger's destructive power, but it was like a drop in the bucket.

Chu Linyuan didn't waste any words. With lightning speed, one hand pressed down on Su Tangzhong's shoulder blade! Pure, icy dragon energy mixed with the majestic vitality of chalcedony, pouring in like a raging wave! He forcibly resisted and expelled the life-destroying dagger's power! With his other hand, the Frost Silence Sword erupted with an unprecedented cold light, sweeping across!

A dark sword ring, as condensed as the moon, instantly spread! It carried a terrifying sword intent that froze everything and annihilated souls! Wherever it passed, space groaned under the weight of its weight! Several Silver Lock Guards, unable to dodge, along with their chain magic weapons, were instantly swept by the sword ring, transformed into ice sculptures, and then silently annihilated into black ice dust in the next instant!

"Form a formation! Lock the dragon!" Commander Zhan Ge roared in horror! The remaining Silver Lock Guards frantically mobilized their magic power, interweaving countless silver chains in an attempt to form a massive silver cage to completely seal off Chu Linyuan and Xie Zhao!

An old, hoarse sigh, filled with fatigue and... a hint of anger, seemed to ring in everyone's ears.

Uncle Chen, who had been hunched over, seemingly indifferent to the ferocious fighting, slowly raised his head. His cloudy old eyes, for the first time, clearly took in the scene before him—Xie Zhao, entangled in chains; Su Tang, her life fading; Tie Niu, bloodied and roaring; Luo Hongyi, shrouded in poisonous mist; and… Chu Linyuan, trapped in a siege to save others, burning with cold murderous rage, like a wounded lone wolf.

Uncle Chen's gaze finally fell on the Soul-Destroying Dagger that was wrapped around Su Tang's shoulder blade like a maggot, and then swept over the Silver Lock Guards that formed a chain formation and exuded cold murderous intent.

The turbid indifference in his eyes, as if he had seen through the vicissitudes of life, gradually faded, replaced by a kind of...heart-wrenching calmness. Like the dead silence of the sea before a storm.

"They...are all good kids."

He raised the tattered, half-bald old broom in his hand.

This time, his movements were no longer random or careless.

He gripped the broom handle with both hands, his back straightening for a moment, like a peerless divine sword, silent for eternity, finally unsheathed! An indescribable, terrifying sword intent, so heavy it seemed to carry the weight of the entire universe, silently awakened from his hunched body!

There was no earth-shattering outburst of momentum.

There was no dazzling sword light.

He simply waved a broom from top to bottom in the direction of the silver lock guards that formed a large chain formation and in the blood-red sky, as if sweeping away years of dust in front of a door.

The movements are simple and rustic, with a rhythm that returns to nature.

As the broom was swung down, the entire God Burial Abyss... no, the entire world seemed to tremble slightly!

A gray sword energy that was almost impossible to capture with the naked eye, like the first ray of light at the beginning of chaos, spread silently along the trajectory of the broom.

Time seems to be infinitely stretched at this moment.

Wherever the gray sword energy passed:

The madly dancing silver chain formation melted and disintegrated silently like ice and snow thrown into the scorching sun!

The indestructible robes and masks on the Silver Lock Guards were like weathered sand sculptures, peeling off and disappearing bit by bit!

The magic power and souls circulating in their bodies were as if gently wiped away by an invisible big hand. There was no pain, no struggle, only eternal silence!

The last trace of horror and disbelief in the War Spear Commander's eyes, along with the war spear he held high, froze together and then turned into nothingness...

Su Lieyang said in horror: "Impossible! This is impossible! We are only one step away from success...Ah! The Immortal Alliance will not let you go? No matter who you are!"

The gray sword energy swept across like an eraser across a scroll, gently and unstoppably.

When the broom is swung down and falls back to the ground.

There was dead silence between heaven and earth.

The bloody vortex is still rolling and the murderous rain is still falling.

But within the Guixu Sect's mountain gate, those dozens of Immortal Alliance Silver Lock Guards who had come in with such force and momentum... along with all their magical instruments, auras, and every trace of their existence... completely vanished! It was as if they had never appeared!

Only on the ground, where Uncle Chen's broom had passed, a shallow, mirror-smooth gray streak remained. At the edge of the streak, a few grains of dust, swept away by the aftermath of the sword energy, slowly drifted down.

Uncle Chen seemed to have exhausted all his strength. He hunched over again and coughed violently a few times. The wrinkles on his already old face seemed to deepen. He looked at the gray mark on the ground, and a trace of subtle regret and fatigue appeared in his cloudy old eyes. He murmured in a hoarse voice:

"My broom is dirty...what a pity..."

He bent down and, using the tip of his broom, carefully swept away the few specks of dust that had fallen on the ash mark, as if they were rare treasures.

"I still have some good stuff in my hand..." Uncle Chen picked up the fragments of the Dragon Locking Plate left by Chi Lieyang.

Then, he raised his head and his gaze fell on the figure of Xie Zhao holding Su Tang in his arms and Chu Linyuan protecting him closely. An extremely complex glimmer flashed in his turbid eyes, and finally turned into an almost inaudible sigh. He turned around, dragged the broken broom, and slowly walked towards his dark corner, turning back into the inconspicuous old man sweeping the floor.

The battle is over.

It ended in a way that was beyond everyone's comprehension.

But no one cheered in Guixu Sect.

Tie Niu stood there blankly, his body covered with blood marks from being whipped by chains.

Luo Hongyi's face turned pale, and the poison bottle in his hand slipped to the ground.

The little white deer held the sleeping Moon-Eating Rabbit in his arms, his face filled with the pain of backlash.

Xie Zhao held Su Tang tightly in his arms, whose breath was as weak as a thread. His peach blossom eyes were bloodshot and his body was shaking uncontrollably.

Chu Linyuan half-knelt on the ground, one hand still pressed against Su Tang's shoulder blade, continuously channeling his energy and vitality to counter the annihilating force of the Soul-Slaying Dagger. His cold face was stained with blood from an unknown source, and his deep, cold eyes stared intently at Su Tang's pale face, churning with unprecedented intensity—self-blame, rage, and a hint of... fear?

He maintained a half-kneeling posture, with his other arm passing through Xie Zhao's knee. In Xie Zhao's astonished eyes, he lifted Xie Zhao, who was holding Su Tang, horizontally with an unquestionable and almost brutal force!

“Senior Brother…?” Xie Zhao’s voice was filled with the confusion and weakness of someone who had just survived a disaster.

Chu Linyuan didn't answer, didn't even look down at him. His figure transformed into a streak of cold black light, and he instantly rushed back to his simple "cave." The heavy stone door slammed shut behind him, isolating him from the bloody battlefield and the dead silence outside.

A cold, murderous aura, mingled with the warmth and vitality of chalcedony, permeated the narrow stone chamber. Chu Linyuan carefully placed Xie Zhao and Su Tang on the cold stone bed. He remained half-kneeling beside the bed, one hand firmly pressed against Su Tang's wound, the other tightly gripping Xie Zhao's cold wrist, as if afraid he, too, would vanish in the next moment.

Xie Zhao leaned against the cold stone wall, with the dying Su Tang in his arms and Chu Linyuan's cold and powerful grip on his wrist.

He looked at Chu Linyuan's tense jawline and the unprecedented panic and determination in his eyes, felt the unquestionable protective power coming from his wrist, and then looked down at the dagger on Su Tang's shoulder that exuded the breath of death...

The coldness of the bloody memories, the cruelty of the Immortal Alliance, the pain of his companions being seriously injured, and... the icy yet incomparably firm power on his wrist... drowned him like an icy tide.

He suddenly lowered his head, resting his forehead on the back of Chu Linyuan's hand, which was tightly gripping his wrist. His shoulders began to shake violently. His suppressed sobs, filled with endless pain and the feeling of having survived a catastrophe, finally broke through all disguises and echoed softly in the silent stone chamber.

"What if something happens to my junior sister? It's all my fault... Why am I so useless? I can't protect anyone..."

Chu Linyuan's body stiffened for a moment, his fingers gripping Xie Zhao's wrist tightening. He remained silent, pouring ever-more refined evil spirit and vitality into Su Tang's body, resisting the Soul-Slaying Dagger, as if... resisting the fickleness of fate.

In the cold stone chamber, evil spirits and vitality are intertwined, despair and protection coexist.
