Chapter 92 - Glimmer of Light

Chapter 92 - Glimmer of Light

Luo Hongyi didn't even raise her head, and the poisonous mist was steadily output from her fingertips: "It's faded? I think it's made brighter by the star core, as if it were covered with gold foil. How stupid." Although the words were harsh, her eyes quickly swept over the healed wounds on Tieniu's back, and a hint of satisfaction flashed across the depths of her eyes.

"Puff!" Su Tang laughed nearby. She was sitting on a smooth star-patterned stone, with the precious photo stone floating in front of her.

His psychic eyes sparkled, and his fingertips guided a faint halo of willpower, as if adjusting something. "Brother Tie Niu, Sister Luo was praising you! She praised you for shining like a giant gold ball!"

As she spoke, she winked at the photo stone, "Family! Did you see that? Our Guixu Sect's 'Star-Moving Giant' is enjoying a luxurious sunbath in the Xingyun Pavilion... oh no, a starlight bath! Those muscles! Those lines! Those gleaming golden scars! Start filling the reward channel! Crowdfund a new pair of shorts for Senior Brother Tie Niu!"

The light of the photo stone flickered slightly, as if it was really recording this rare peaceful scene.

White Fawn held Moon Rabbit in her arms and sat quietly beside Su Tang. Rabbit seemed to be very interested in the warm star core in Tie Niu's arms. Ruby stared at it unblinkingly, making a longing gurgling sound in her throat, but White Fawn gently held her head down.

The little girl's clear eyes drifted towards the quiet rattan hut from time to time.

Chu Linyuan slowly opened his eyes.

Those icy eyes seemed to have been washed by starlight, less biting coldness and more quiet depth.

He first looked at the hand that was pressed into the air, his fingertips moving slightly before slowly withdrawing. His gaze then fell on the face of Xie Zhao, who was sleeping beside him.

The peaceful sleeping face, the steady breathing, the faint blood color...all these clearly told him that the life-threatening protection had finally brought him a chance of life.

His cold gaze lingered on Xie Zhao's face for a long time, as if he wanted to carve this peaceful look into the depths of his soul. Then, he slowly looked away, sensing the situation within his body.

His meridians still ached, like a dry riverbed just after a downpour, fragile and sensitive. The depleted core of evil energy within his dantian, like an extinguished volcano, was temporarily filled and nurtured by Mo Chen's vast star power, waiting to be reignited.

The dark gold dragon pattern on his cheek was still dim, but no longer looked like it was collapsing, like a dormant dragon slowly regaining its strength in its sleep.

His gaze finally fell on his waist.

The red tassels, illuminated by the starlight, seemed a little brighter than before, and the warm red color hung quietly like the rising rays of light.

Chu Linyuan's fingers curled up unconsciously, and the fingertips seemed to still retain the hot touch of the Mars.

From outside the house came Su Tang's crisp laughter, Tie Niu's grunting sounds while exercising, and Luo Hongyi's familiar, venomous scolding.

These sounds were no longer the fighting and alarms in the God Burial Abyss, but... the noise of human life.

He slowly stood up, his movements stiff and cautious, the way someone recovering from a serious injury did. Without disturbing the sleeping Xie Zhao, he walked to the window of the vine house and pushed open the small window woven from starlight vines.

Outside the window, a star-studded meadow came into view.

Tie Niu was sweating profusely while holding the star core, like a clumsy golden giant.

Luo Hongyi was concentrating on guiding the starlight beside the herb garden, and her profile looked less fierce under the starlight.

Su Tang chattered towards the photo stone, her little face flushed with excitement.

The little white deer held the rabbit quietly, occasionally looking towards the hut with clear eyes.

Under the ancient tree in the corner, Uncle Chen's broom was still rustling, stubbornly sweeping this already spotless piece of pure land.

The corners of Chu Linyuan's cold mouth twitched upwards ever so slightly in the shadow of the window where no one could see.

It was like a lake that had been frozen for thousands of years, and a small, warm stone was thrown into it, causing a barely perceptible ripple.

He stood there quietly, like a silhouette blending into the window frame. Without words or movement, he simply watched the bustling and warm atmosphere of the "fireworks" outside the window.

Until Luo Hongyi straightened up, patted the dirt on his hands, and shouted in the direction of Tieniu in a bad mood:

"Stupid cow! Stop practicing! Go get the 'dragon bone soup' that's stewing in the pot! Bingtuozi is awake, time to give him and Ershazi some soup! Otherwise one of them will freeze to death and the other will sleep like a fool!"

Chu Linyuan heard the voice and slowly turned around. The barely perceptible arc in his expression had vanished, and his cold eyes had returned to calm. He walked over to Xie Zhao's bedside, looking at his peaceful sleeping face, and remained silent for a moment.

Then, he reached out his hand, and very naturally, with a touch of unfamiliar gentleness, he pulled up the corner of the quilt and tucked it in carefully.

After doing all this, he took a step towards the warm starlight and noise outside the house.
