Ending (Part 2)
No one knew what was in the metal box, everyone only knew that it was extremely difficult to open.
There were iron chains as thick as wrists, wrapped around in circles, with dozens of locks, and with the rust marks on them, it looked like some devil was sealed away.
But in the eyes of Yokohama's gravity user, these were just a matter of finger-wagging. Nakahara Chuuya clicked his tongue and adjusted the angle of his hat: "You better tell the truth."
The firm had a more difficult assignment, which was that the client had lost a priceless treasure. It was said that the pressed scroll had just been returned from an auction and was missing.
But this rusty and aged iron box was by no means the "treasure" the employer had described it as.
The threatened person trembled, but still swallowed and nodded stiffly.
Nakahara Chuuya frowned, but finally decided to open the box first. Under the distortion of gravity, the chains broke one after another.
The "dong dong" sound awakened the sleeping devil.
"Ah - has the prince who kissed the sleeping beauty awake come?" A slightly hoarse voice whispered, "But I'm already awake, please help me up."
There was a person lying in the box, but he was not a devil or Sleeping Beauty, but someone Chuuya knew.
"Ranbu?!" Nakahara Chuuya said in surprise, "Why are you here?"
You can't blame Nakahara Chuuya for being so surprised. After all, missing person notices about the person in front of him were posted all over the street.
Although they knew that it was easy to get lost when walking around randomly, they didn't expect an adult to disappear like that. The Port Mafia used all their connections and even asked the Special Forces and Mori Office to investigate, but there was no trace of him.
But after disappearing for more than half a year, the person who was being sought for a huge sum of money appeared in this sealed iron box.
Chuuya was very shocked, but he still helped the man up first. The black-haired young man didn't know how long he had been in there, his lips were pale and his body was weak.
"As a reward for finding me, is there anything you want, Chuuya-kun?" Ranpo smiled, with only his fingers able to move.
When Lu Ninja woke up, he found himself in a closed space. Fortunately, after thinking quickly, he understood the current situation.
Fortunately, he was finally found before the oxygen in the box ran out.
The hatted figure had a complicated expression. He dialed the phone hesitantly, then hung up in a hurry after a few words.
"Damn it, Dazai!" Chuuya said angrily, "When will you listen to what I say?"
He originally planned to report it to the president, after all, this was a very important matter. But thinking of the gang members of the port mafia, he finally wavered.
"Hey, Chuuya-kun, I want to eat crepes and snacks..."
The young man on the back seemed to gradually regain his energy. He swung his calves and muttered to himself.
Chuuya frowned a little impatiently, but still nodded. He just felt that the person on his back was floating lightly, as if he would float away in the next second.
"Mr. Chuuya?" Akutagawa answered with a surprised expression, "What is this?"
Luanbu turned his head away, stuck out his tongue and made a face. Even this small action seemed to have exhausted all his strength.
The green eyes were half closed, and the furry black head tilted and leaned against the neck of the person in front of him.
Chuuya hurriedly urged: "Hey, don't sleep!"
I was so tired that I didn't even want to lift my fingers. Luanbu yawned and responded, "I won't die... but... I'm so sleepy."
In the residual light, a figure in a black suit quickly rolled down from the stairs.
Without bothering to inform others, Dazai Osamu hurried over. He stole an ordinary person's car, ran through several red lights, and then stepped on the accelerator and crashed the car into the flowerbed.
Chuuya would not lie, and that was why Dazai came here without hesitation.
He saw the familiar figure and waved lazily from behind. Dazai Osamu ignored Akutagawa's strange expression and walked away quickly: "Ranpo--"
"He's locked in an iron box with many locks on the outside." Chuuya explained, "He looks very short of water and rest. Do you want to... go to the hospital?"
Dazai Osamu said nothing. He knelt on the ground, laid the person flat, and put his coat behind Ranpo's neck.
"We, the Port Mafia, owe you a favor." Dazai Osamu raised his head and said with a serious expression, "Akiko has already come, so there is no need to bother Dr. Mori."
Mori Ouwai shook his head with some regret. He stood aside with his hands behind his back, observing with narrowed eyes: "If you need more intelligence, we can sell it to you."
“Get out of the way!”
A female voice said anxiously. She swiftly dodged the men in black. The golden butterfly in her hair was particularly eye-catching.
When Luanbu woke up, the hot tears just fell on his cheek. Jingzi bit her lower lip tightly, as if blaming and worrying: "It's been so long... Where on earth have you been, Luanbu!"
Luanbu sat up and rubbed his cheeks, not knowing how to explain: "Anyway, I won't get lost, Jingzi."
This did not comfort her, and Chuuya silently handed over a crepe. Dazai smiled and said, "Ran, Ayumu, such an explanation is useless."
This was indeed a bit embarrassing, but when Dazai Osamu asked, Akiko wiped her eyes and had no intention of embarrassing him in front of outsiders.
But just as he stood up and looked at the crowd outside, the figure in the silver-gray suit walked around, rolled his eyes and coughed twice.
"Mr. Fukuzawa."
"Chief."
It's really lively today. Luanbu thought about it and walked over on his own initiative.
He had a feeling that the clenched fist would slam towards him in the next second. However, the hand, which had been so strong that its fingertips turned white, was only raised high and gently dropped.
"Just come back."
The taciturn silver-haired man lowered his eyes and stretched out his hands to grab the shoulders of the person in front of him.
The long-lost familiar feeling was like returning home. My vision gradually blurred, and the soft crepe was squeezed hard, and the cream slid down the back of my hand.
The black-haired young man cried like a child who had found his home, and wiped the cream on his hand on his high-end silver-gray suit.
Fukuzawa Yukichi's tightly pursed lips relaxed slightly, and he touched the soft black hair as if to comfort her.
How could he blame him? It was because of him that he failed to protect Ranpo. Looking at the evasive look in those green eyes, Fukuzawa Yukichi knew that Ranpo was hiding something.
But so what? This is the child who grew up under his care. As long as he doesn't want to say it, he won't force him.
So all he could say was "I'm glad you're back."
For the next few hours, Luanbu felt dazed. It was like he was in a dream, and finally, with a gentle pull, he was able to feel grounded again.
So after a fever, I finally felt the reality of returning to this world.
Looking at the table full of desserts, Luanbu yawned and to be honest, he drank the medicine in the glass in one gulp.
Looking at the tense Nakajima Atsushi, he felt a rare sense of guilt. But it was only a flash, and he turned around and called out, "A-Dun, A-Dun."
Nakajima Atsushi was a little nervous. He frowned tightly but still kept a certain distance.
"Please give your orders, Lord Ranbu." The white-haired boy said sternly.
Because he had been deceived so many times, Nakajima Atsushi felt that he should be more "ruthless". So even if those green eyes blinked and waved as if to show weakness, he remained unmoved.
However, Luanbu did not act hastily, after all, he was now a "dishonest person".
In this way, Luanbu stayed quietly for a week, and did not ask to go out. However, things took a turn for the better when a visitor came.
A middle-aged man with white hair and a mustache had a bag full of things in his hands and a guilty look on his face. Ranbu passed by with a chocolate cookie stick in his mouth and nodded as if in agreement.
Fukuzawa Yukichi then softened his attitude and stepped aside to make way. With the gift of apology, Fukuchi breathed a sigh of relief.
"He almost turned my house upside down." Fudi complained quietly, "During that time, he caught all the black and white cats..."
Seeing Fu Ze approaching, the two people who were whispering stopped tacitly.
"There will be no 005." Ranpo said, "So has the future you predicted changed?"
Fudi looked around and finally nodded: "Yes, if you don't change, you're doomed. I don't want to lose a friend."
Ranpo narrowed his eyes and smiled, hummed twice and said, "It must be more than that - because the story is not over yet."
"So... this is why he wants to be a detective?" Dazai Osamu looked surprised. "I don't think so... I'm not saying it's not possible, but Boss, is this really okay?"
Ranbu is an officer of the port. Is it really okay for him to become a detective and come into contact with the police?
Fukuzawa Yukichi rubbed his forehead, feeling somewhat helpless about Ranbu's whimsical approach. But after taking a sip of tea, he still sighed and said, "If he is willing, then let him do it."
After all, thinking of the first detective of the detective agency, Fukuzawa Yukichi felt that it was also a good choice.
Soon, a "famous detective" appeared in Yokohama. He could see through countless troublesome cases, even those from long ago, at a glance.
"My name? If you want to ask——" The black-haired young man wearing a detective hat seemed to be thinking about something. He pushed his glasses up with a proud look on his face, "Of course it's the famous detective, Ranpo Edogawa!"
Most of the newcomers to the police station looked at him with admiration, but some of the old police officers had mixed feelings, because they still remembered the scene when the port officer teased them with a smile.
But when I think of the criminals who were caught, these little "pranks" are not unacceptable.
