After waiting on the hill for a while and seeing that the dinosaurs showed no sign of leaving, Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo did not linger any longer. They marked the trees nearby and then turned to leave to find a place where a group of people could stay.
In order to get water nearby, Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo did not go too far. They circled around the area and dealt with a small dinosaur that rushed up to attack them when it saw them. Finally, they found a place suitable for living at the foot of the cliff.
Mo Shuwan looked at the water flowing down the cliff not far away with satisfaction and said with a smile, "This place is not bad. There is water next to us, so we don't need to go back to the riverbank. We can fetch water here."
Wen Zuo nodded and quickly cleared away all the weeds around him. He didn't throw them away; he simply gathered them together and piled them on the ground, just big enough for someone to sleep on.
Having found a place to stay for the next month, Mo Shuwan relaxed a little. She took out the dinosaur meat she had cut off not long ago from her storage space, intending to clean it and roast it. "Wen Zuo, watch out for your surroundings. I'll wash the meat."
Upon hearing this, Wen Zuo turned his head to look at Mo Shuwan, who had one foot on the monolith. He frowned, stepped forward, and reached out to pull her. While Mo Shuwan turned to the side in confusion, he took the meat from her hand and then forcefully pulled her back from the moss-covered rock before standing on it himself.
Mo Shuwan looked helplessly at Wen Zuo, who had already swiftly walked to the water source, and had no choice but to take over his guard duty.
Fortunately, nothing unexpected happened during this time. After washing the meat, Wen Zuo returned and handed it to Mo Shuwan. He then collected some branches and quickly built a woodpile on the cleared ground. He then lit the dry grass with a lighter to start a fire.
Holding the meat, Mo Shuwan squatted down next to Wen Zuo, watching him throw the burning hay into the hollowed-out woodpile, and blinked, "You're quite capable with your hands."
Wen Zuo gave a shy smile, washed her hands, and came back to work. So Mo Shuwan, who was originally planning to grill the meat herself while Wen Zuo kept watch, ended up being the one on guard. Only after Wen Zuo finished grilling the meat did she play a role – she took out a plastic bag of seasonings.
Finally enjoying the hot barbecue, Mo Shuwan squinted her eyes happily, "If it weren't for the dinosaur roars in my ears, it would really feel like I'm on vacation here."
Upon hearing this, Wen Zuo, who was tidying up the seasonings, paused in tying the plastic bag, looked up at the surrounding scenery, and nodded slightly.
The place the two chose was indeed beautiful. Behind them was a cliff with a mountain spring flowing gently, and in front of them were towering trees stretching as far as the eye could see. Although there were many weeds around, they were all lush and green, and it was clear at a glance that the trees and flowers were growing very well.
Mo Shuwan swallowed the roasted meat in her mouth and said softly, "On the bright side, it's not bad that we're 'traveling' through so many worlds for free." After saying that, she laughed at herself and lowered her head, laughing to herself for a long time.
Wen Zuo, who didn't get the joke, looked at Mo Shuwan, then at the roasted meat placed on the leaves, and finally stared at Mo Shuwan who was laughing happily, and slowly started to laugh along.
Although he couldn't understand what Mo Shuwan was laughing about, it didn't stop Wen Zuo from being happy just looking at Mo Shuwan's smile.
After finishing their meal and filling their stomachs, Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo covered the fire, poured some water on it, marked the spot on a nearby tree, and then left.
The two followed the marks they had made and slowly made their way through the forest, planning to kill a few dinosaurs on their way back.
Because of their caution, they didn't encounter any major troubles along the way. Even when they were entangled by three man-eating flowers, Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo didn't suffer any major losses because of their caution. They managed to kill one of the seemingly ordinary man-eating flowers and escape safely.
Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo were hiding behind a large tree, watching a dinosaur in the distance tearing at its prey with its head down. It was a large dinosaur with a single horn on its head. Even while eating, it was very wary of its surroundings. As soon as Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo moved slightly, it immediately stopped eating and looked up warily at the source of the sound.
Wen Zuo, who had just lifted his foot to find a better sniping spot, immediately froze, afraid to move. Mo Shuwan behind him also remained in the same position, not daring to make a sound. But unexpectedly, the unicorn dinosaur was still not relaxed, raising its head and staring straight at the direction where Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo were with its huge eyes.
After a few minutes of this stalemate, the unicorn dinosaur raised its head and roared, startling a flock of birds and beasts into flight before lowering its head to continue eating. However, Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo, who were hiding behind the big tree and under immense pressure from being watched, dared not make any more noise.
The two exchanged a glance, silently turned on their phones, muted the sound, and communicated via text message.
Mo Shuwan: It's too cautious; we probably can't leave now even if we want to.
Wen Zuo: Let's drop a stone and see its reaction.
After sending the message, Wen Zuo looked around, trying to find a handy stone that he could throw immediately. But he didn't know if it was bad luck, but there wasn't a single handy stone within reach. Wen Zuo frowned in frustration, and suddenly saw Mo Shuwan next to him looking shy.
Seeing Wen Zuo looking at her, Mo Shuwan blushed even more. She carefully put her hand under her buttocks. Just after Wen Zuo finished speaking, she realized that she was sitting on a rock. She thought that a rock that could support her buttocks wouldn't be too small, so it wouldn't be appropriate to throw it out to test the waters. But who knew that there were no other rocks around?!
Noticing Mo Shuwan's slight embarrassment, Wen Zuo considerately looked away.
Two minutes later, Mo Shuwan finally managed to take out a rock that was bigger than her two hands put together and quietly handed it to Wen Zuo, trying not to make any noise that might attract the unicorn dinosaur.
Wen Zuo accepted the stone without changing his expression, took a deep breath, and abruptly threw the still-warm stone away from the spot he had previously chosen.
Even before the stone reached the ground, the unicorn dinosaur sensed it, let out a roar, and its massive body shot out like lightning. Before the stone hit the ground, its huge claws had already caught the sizable stone and crushed it completely.
Both the speed and power were beyond Mo Shuwan's and Wen Zuo's expectations.
Putting aside strength, the sheer speed of this unicorn dinosaur caused Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo's expressions to change drastically; it was simply too fast.
"roar!!!"
Seemingly enraged, the unicorn dinosaur abandoned its food and, in a fit of rage, tore at the surrounding giant trees with its sharp claws. In the blink of an eye, the massive, towering trees were ripped in two.
