Main Quest 3: Help the Dark Eldar repair the World Core
"You are the Black Spirit Clan."
The boy suddenly looked at Wen Zuo, his eyes instantly shrouded in black. Wen Zuo, who was being stared at, clearly felt that his life or death was in the boy's hands. This native was probably several times stronger than all the monsters they had encountered.
The boy slowly stood up, looking down at Wen Zuo. His voice became monotonous and his tone was icy. "How did you know?"
The feeling that a single wrong word could be fatal made Zou Zhiqing and the others frown.
Wen Zuo looked up at the young man and calmly said, "Inheritance."
As those two words were uttered, the darkness in the boy's eyes vanished. He looked at Wen Zuo and sighed, "I am the only member of the Black Spirit Clan left. I originally thought that no one on this continent would know of the true existence of the Black Spirit Clan."
Wen Zuo didn't speak again, nor did Zou Zhiqing and the others, because after the boy finished speaking, he suddenly started to cry.
"This world has not abandoned our Dark Spirit Clan."
Whether their identities had been exposed or not, Wen Zuo and the others noticed that the boy's aura seemed much gentler when they looked at him. Yun Chen, who was squatting in the distance, suddenly raised his head and, while standing up, also pulled Chen Jiaxu up as well.
Chen Jiaxu was stunned for a moment, and before he could react to why Yun Chen was pulling him, he found that Yun Chen was dragging him towards the direction where Wen Zuo and the others were. He was so frightened that he pulled Yun Chen back, "Don't cause trouble!"
"We're safe now."
After saying that, Yun Chen pulled Chen Jiaxu forward. Liu Dongcheng, who was holding Mo Shuwan and standing still, frowned and followed after half a minute. Hope and Stratosphere, who were beside him, also hurriedly ran forward.
So all that was left here was Zheng Shanhe, Cheng Leikai, two other sinners, and three soulless bodies.
Zheng Shanhe's forehead twitched violently. Watching Chen Jiaxu and the others walk away, he felt so angry that his stomach started to hurt. But soon he realized that he didn't just feel a stomachache, he actually had a stomachache.
His emotional state was so volatile this time that his injuries started acting up again.
After Chen Jiaxu and the others left, the two criminals still didn't do anything outrageous, but their gazes kept drifting towards Cheng Leikai. When Cheng Leikai noticed their stares, the two didn't try to hide it at all. Instead, they gave Cheng Leikai a friendly smile.
Cheng Leikai's face turned extremely ugly. He looked at the two criminals and said in a gruff voice, "You two had better behave yourselves."
The two sinners smiled, then exchanged a glance, both seeing amusement in each other's eyes. This scene was getting interesting...
What's even more interesting is that none of the main characters in the play know they're actually in the play.
Their communication was limited to eye contact, and Cheng Leikai's warning just now was nothing special. However, even if it was special, Zheng Shanhe probably wouldn't be able to tell from it in his current state.
"Since you need our help, you should let us get back into our bodies as soon as possible. If we get injured in our current state, we could die immediately. I don't believe you don't know that."
The boy looked at Zou Zhiqing in surprise, then shook his head helplessly, "The Black Spirit Clan wouldn't be so despicable. You've only left your bodies now, so the injuries won't have any impact on your bodies."
"Heh, who are you trying to fool? If it didn't have any impact, why would you use this trick against us?"
"At most, this will only prevent you from leaving your own bodies." After the boy finished speaking, he looked at Luo Baokun, who had already sat up with Qu Dan on his back, and his gaze fell on the bloody hand that Qu Dan was holding on his shoulder. "That was not the work of the Black Spirit Clan."
Wen Zuoxin, who had just seen a glimmer of hope, suddenly jumped. "You mean our companions are experiencing a state where their souls leave their bodies, and it's done by another race?"
Seeing the boy nod, Wen Zuo quickly asked, "Then do you have any way to save them? At least to prevent their injuries from worsening?"
The boy sighed, "I could do it before, but not now. The dark elements are no longer close to me, and I have very little power left to use. I'm sorry, I can't do it."
However, after he finished speaking, he gave each of the three of them a pitch-black fruit, saying that as long as they ate it, they could immediately return to their bodies.
Zou Zhiqing and the other two stared at the fruit for a long time without reaching for it.
At this moment, Mo Shuwan was almost completely shrouded in darkness, with only his head sticking out. He mechanically pulled the bowstring, not even noticing the few members of the Black Spirit Clan appearing in his line of sight.
"Let's see how much Dark Essence you've collected."
Mo Shuwan stared blankly down at the two Black Spirit Clan members and said dryly, "I've collected a lot. I have them all on me."
"Hmm, well done. Come with us."
Several Black Spirit Clan members were clearly in high spirits. They walked ahead, glancing back at Mo Shuwan every now and then. Only when they saw that she was in stable condition did they feel relieved and continue walking forward.
After walking for about twenty minutes, Mo Shuwan, with a dazed look in her eyes, looked down at the few Black Spirit Clan members who hadn't turned around for more than five minutes. She narrowed her eyes, pinched her palm hard, and tried to stay awake.
She was indeed quite affected by the darkness surrounding her, but not to the point of completely losing her mind.
These indigenous people are indeed problematic.
Mo Shuwan frowned slightly. She thought of the main quest triggered after her conversation with the Black Spirit Clan chief. If the Black Spirit Clan members were lying, then the main quest would not have been triggered. But if they were telling the truth, why were they plotting against her in this way?
