With the help of the Dark Spirits, their crystal-gathering speed increased considerably. However, those dark creatures were not entirely without intelligence, and gradually, the number of monsters they could find nearby decreased, causing their crystal-gathering speed to slow down.
Mo Shuwan roughly counted the crystals she had; she had at least thirty. Adding the crystals Qu Dan and the others had, she should be able to manage.
"That's enough, let's go find our own bodies first."
After an hour, Mo Shuwan and the others were not summoned back by the monster. It seemed that although the monster did not respond when they came out, it still agreed to their request for three hours.
With ample time, they all breathed a sigh of relief. They didn't know their current physical condition, and hoped they could return to their bodies this time.
"Actually, you don't need to worry about that. You're all still alive, which proves that your bodies are still intact."
Qu Dan sneered, "You mean we should only start to worry when we're about to die?"
The Black Spirit Clan member who had just tried to ease the tension between them immediately shut his mouth and silently continued to lead the way. It took them more than two hours to find Wen Zuo and his group, but fortunately, they did not encounter any obstacles this time.
"Wen Zuo!"
Wen Zuo, who was feeding Mo Shuwan a recovery potion, suddenly turned his head and saw Mo Shuwan approaching him. His face immediately lit up with surprise and joy. He bent down, picked up Mo Shuwan, and quickly went to meet her.
Chen Jiaxu couldn't help but shout, "Captain! You're finally back!"
Mo Shuwan rushed to Wen Zuo, intending to give him a loving hug after their long-awaited reunion. However, the state of her own body and face was so appalling that her attention was instantly drawn to Wen Zuo.
"This is too much..." Mo Shuwan stared at her bloodied and mangled face, too shocked to speak. Although she had thought that her current physical condition wouldn't be good, she never expected it to be this serious.
Wen Zuofei's mood plummeted instantly because of Mo Shuwan's words, "Can you come back into your body now?"
Mo Shuwan nodded, turned around, and whispered into the darkness, "Come out!"
Several Black Spirit Clan members, who had been hiding in the darkness, emerged hesitantly. Of course, the main reason they were able to come out was that the boy was not there; otherwise, no matter how much Mo Shuwan called them, they probably wouldn't have shown themselves.
Seeing the indigenous person slowly approaching, Wen Zuo frowned slightly, remembering what the boy had said before leaving. But he said nothing and watched as the person walked up to him.
"Just give me your hand."
Mo Shuwan reached out her hand. She originally thought she would have to go through some complicated process to return to her body, but who knew that the Black Spirit Clan member just held her hand and then pulled her body up. In the blink of an eye, when she opened her eyes again, Mo Shuwan had already returned to her body.
The crowd waiting behind them, holding their breath, were also dumbfounded, especially Zou Zhiqing and the other two, who still dared not eat the fruit and whose souls were still outside. Their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets in shock. "It's that simple???"
The facts proved them right; it was that simple.
Mo Shuwan opened her eyes from Wen Zuo's embrace. The intense pain from all parts of her body made her face contort for a moment. However, because her face was also covered in blood and gore, even a simple movement aggravated her wounds, and the pain almost made her scream.
Wen Zuo, who was holding her, immediately squatted down and put Mo Shuwan on the ground, letting her back rest against his legs. His fingers trembled slightly as he sprinkled the medicine powder on her face. Seeing that the wounds on her face were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye, Wen Zuo breathed a sigh of relief. "Don't move, I'll help you."
Mo Shuwan gasped, her voice muffled as she said, "I swear I've never seen such a disgusting wound before."
"I told you not to talk." Wen Zuo sighed helplessly, almost laughing in exasperation. He moved very quickly, and first sprinkled the powder on the key areas so that Mo Shuwan could move on her own.
As Mo Shuwan leaned against Wen Zuo's leg and drank a recovery potion, she said in a deep voice, "We have received two additional main quests: one is to collect the Dark Essence, and the other is to help the Dark Spirit Clan repair the core of the world."
Wen Zuo paused slightly, looking at Mo Shuwan in surprise, "You received it too?"
"And you all..."
The Black Spirit Clan member turned to look at Mo Shuwan and Wen Zuo. He had just realized that he couldn't understand some of the things they were saying. However, he quickly realized that they were a newly born race, so it was normal for them to have their own language.
"So you're back! You scared me to death!" Upon seeing Chen Leikai, Arou wiped away her tears and threw herself into his arms under his doting gaze. But the moment Chen Leikai tightened his arms, Arou's expression changed drastically. She instinctively tried to back away, but the hands on her body had already wrapped around her.
Fear filled Arou's eyes as she struggled helplessly. She heard a hoarse voice in her ear, "Welcome to our game. From now on, you will be a member of the judges. Every decision you make will affect the lives of those around you. We hope you can give us a wonderful game to watch."
Arou broke out in a cold sweat. She wanted to speak, but no matter what she did, she couldn't open her mouth.
"Arou, what's wrong? Why are you sweating so much all of a sudden?" Chen Leikai looked at Arou with a surprised expression, and curiously reached out to wipe the sweat from her forehead. Seeing the fear in her eyes, he couldn't help but worry.
