"Ask them one by one?" someone suggested, but the others scoffed at the suggestion and walked directly to Mo Shuwan and the others.
There are one or two people with horns on their foreheads in front of each person.
Mo Shuwan pursed her lips as she looked at the two young-looking enemies squatting in front of her.
"who is he?"
When Mo Shuwan saw that he was pointing at Lin Xun, she remained silent. He seemed to be angered by her attitude, and directly reached out and pinched her chin, asking with a cold smile, "You won't get away with this if you don't talk."
A sharp pain shot through her chin where it had been touched. Mo Shuwan could even hear a sizzling sound, as if flesh was being corroded. But soon, she saw blood dripping onto her arm and knew it wasn't her imagination; the spot touched by this guy had indeed been corroded.
And it wasn't just Mo Shuwan; everyone experienced something similar.
As Lin Xun lay on the ground, he looked at the backs of the black demons surrounding Mo Shuwan and the others. These black demons probably felt that he was no longer a threat, so they did not deliberately avoid him. As the world slowly passed by, Lin Xun, who was originally anxious, gradually calmed down.
However, what followed was intense surprise; he hadn't expected that the people Shanhe had hired could remain silent to this extent.
"Still not going to talk?" Seeing that Mo Shuwan did not respond, the person squatting in front of her sneered and picked up Xiwang, who was tied to her side, with his other hand. "This little guy is quite pitiful. He was already a cripple, and now he has to lose a leg."
Mo Shuwan's expression remained unchanged. She looked at Hope, who was struggling in the other party's hands, and said softly, "Hope, even if he dies, we can't let him get away with it too easily."
Hope seemed to understand Mo Shuwan's words, and suddenly stopped struggling. Then, it suddenly spat a ball of flame at the young man's face. This ball of flame contained wisps of black, but the young man did not notice it and did not care about this small ball of flame at all.
But he soon paid the price for his contempt.
Hope bit his finger hard, rolled to the ground, and then scurried over to Mo Shuwan's side. Mo Shuwan moved her body to the side, and it squeezed in.
"Aaaaaah! My face!!!"
Just like how his touch on Mo Shuwan's face caused her flesh to slowly corrode, the areas on the young man's face that were exposed to the flames were now slowly being corroded away.
Mo Shuwan's neck was gripped by another person's hand. Her eyes did not waver; she simply used her back to block any hope of seeing her being attacked and trying to crawl out again.
"etc."
Lin Xun's body jolted. He opened his mouth, but could only sigh helplessly in the end. A group of people who were just hired hands were able to remain silent for the sake of Shanhe. If Shanhe himself remained silent at this time, even if he survived for some reason, this matter would probably be remembered for a lifetime.
“He did it to save me.” Zheng Shanhe said, then continued, “They are all children of influential people within the Ten Armies. Keeping them alive will give you more leverage.”
"Hehehe, kid, who are you?"
The three cloaked figures who had hesitated to show themselves earlier because they were afraid that Lin Xun might have other helpers finally stepped into the crowd. They looked at Zheng Shanhe and easily recognized his identity.
"He is the son of the deputy city lord of the Alliance's tenth fortress."
Zheng Shanhe looked sharply in the direction from which the sound came, but the world was shrouded in darkness, and they couldn't see anything anyway. The three cloaked figures were still hiding in the crowd, so naturally they couldn't find anything.
"Hahahaha, the deputy city lord's son! With you, we have enough leverage!" The middle-aged man who led the smuggled team laughed loudly, and Zheng Shanhe was taken away with over a thousand bags. "Take care of the rest."
Upon hearing this, Chen Jiaxu trembled violently, and his eyes instantly reddened.
The others remained silent, after all, they understood how much weaker they were than the group in front of them. Let alone escaping, they would have trouble even breaking free of the ropes binding them.
Wen Zuo and Mo Shuwan were tied together. They looked at each other and, finding the other calm, couldn't help but smile.
They didn't speak, but simply moved closer to each other, pressing even more tightly together.
From the moment they boarded the bus, they were prepared to die.
Upon hearing that they could kill, these horned creatures became excited and rushed to kill.
When her abdomen was pierced, Mo Shuwan sighed. She felt her bound hands regain their mobility, as if they were trying to bite open the ropes behind her back. She looked at the enemy squatting in front of her with a strange smile and smiled back, saying softly, "Aren't you very proud of yourself?"
Just as the opponent was about to react, the instance was pierced by a bright red arrow. The next instant, his body flew backward, taking the people standing behind him with him and making them take a few steps back. Before they could even stand up, countless terrifying arrows with enormous power appeared in front of them.
Mo Shuwan's actions caused a commotion. Knowing that she couldn't escape this time, she didn't try to dodge. Instead, she drew her bow and squinted as she searched for the leader in the crowd. Unexpectedly, she didn't see the leader but instead saw a cloaked figure.
"Found it..."
Mo Shuwan murmured and suddenly pulled the bowstring to its maximum. The surrounding darkness surged wildly toward the arrow that was gradually forming in her hand. Those who relied on the darkness clearly felt uncomfortable, but their eyes were filled with more horror.
